"That does sound like a nice idea, but don't you have a boyfriend to cuddle with?"

She really wanted the ice cream. And a friend to talk to, but she'd already taken up most of Cassie's night. Maybe Jen had some free time.

"Don't worry about me. I think I'm just going to go sleep this off. He said he'd call tomorrow right? So I'll just wait for him."

She started to walk off and tried to find Jen.. If there was one shoulder in the world to cry on. She wanted it to be her Bff. She didn't want to feel vulnerable in front of anyone else.

"Thanks for all the help. I'll see ya around." She waved over her shoulder looking glum.

Jen had been kept busy all day. Bruce had found her and was making her help with the clean up of scrap metal.

"Can't we sell this?" Jen moaned.

"Well, that is the plan, it's nice that our alien droids that invaded were made up of such valuable minerals."

"This truly is the time of recycling." Jen sighed as she dumped the last load into the giant container. "Right, done, can I go?"

"Did you learn your lesson of not going off to strange parties?"

"N-oh...um... yeah sure why not. Lesson learned." Jen looked around she really wanted to find that Bobby guy but she couldn't remember what he looked like. If only he'd transform into his ice form then she'd spot him in an instant.

Jen shrugged and wandered off as Bruce had begun another talk about sounding sincere. She just wanted to find Karen. She whipped out her phone and texted.

Karen looked down at her cell as it chimed. It was Jen.

She immedaily texted back.

"Yes. I really need a good girl talk. Meet at commons?"

She quickly made her way to the girls common room. It would be a quite place they could chat alone.

Thank Rao for girl talk Karen felt just awful.

The next day...

Oh my goodness! Christopher Powell?

*The shout woke Chris up. Sunlight was streaming through the windows of Dr. Richards's lab. It was morning. He had slept all night glued to the wall. Stupid Johnny Storm.

Susan Richards set her coffee down.*

Are you all right, dear? What happened?

I came over to see about the job Dr. Richards placed in the paper. No one was here but Johnny Storm. He said Dr. Richards wasn't here but I could start right away. Then he glue gunned me to the wall.

*Chris looked absolutely pitiful. Mrs. Richards sighed and picked up the glue gun. She flicked a setting on it and aimed it at Chris.*

I am so sorry about my brother, Chris. His sense of humor isn't the best. Now hold still and I'll get you down.

*Mrs Richards fired an energy beam into the glue. It immediately lost it's stickiness and became slimy. Chris fell to the floor.*

Ew.

Here's something for your trouble, Chris. I'll make sure Reed knows about this. We'll talk to Johnny and you can help Reed in his experiments. Now, you better go shower that slime off.


*Chris took a check from Mrs. Richards. Awesome! Now he had cash for Valentine's Day. THAT WAS TOMORROW! GAH! Chris hurried back to his room to shower and get started on his gift idea.*

Teddy woke the next morning, stretching as he sat up slowly. Scratching his chest with one hand, he propped himself up on the other and looked blearily at the other bed in the room, the dark hair fuzzy and disheveled. It looked adorable now...

A chill ran down his back, and he felt the hints of suspicion tugging at his mind. Billy had been gone an awful long time, and he had come back more powerful...was he different?

Teddy slid out of bed, padding on tip toe to get to the bathroom, leaning over to peer at Billy's head before disappearing. While peeing, he considered what Cho had told him, and then looked back out at the top of Billy's head. Would there be some indicator if something had changed? Washing his hands, Teddy watched him sleep in the mirror, and on the way back out, he hovered for a prolonged moment by the bed.

Reaching over, he poked Billy's shoulder sharply. "Yo. Billy."

She hugged her friend. Once Jen arrived Karen couldn't help but fill her in on what happened. They talked all night.

"Oh Jen! I'm so glad to see you! I put on the worst movie ever! Ani was so upset that he left, but I didn't know about him being a slave and he was offended by the movie. But Cassie flew me everywhere to find him and when we did he was all sad and didn't want to talk to me!"

She took a breath.

"He said he'd call but I just do't know what to do. I tried to apologize...."

She took a breath to calm herself, She was making it all about her. Usually that was fine. But she wanted to know what was going on in Jen's life.

"My night's been pretty stinky. But I hope yours was better. Anything happen with you."

"Hmm."

Karen looked at the note. Inspecting it, she didn't see much besides someones really bad handwriting.

"I think you're right. Achilles is really sensitive about this kinda thing. I should know. Took a while to get though my thick head. Something tells me these boys are up to something... This is just not his style."

She handed the note back to her. Shrugging

"Achilles is cool. If you do decide to go don't get your hopes up, just go as friends. And have a good time."

She smiled. At least her friend would have a good time, And that made her feel better.
