Vous's dainty little wave would do little against the solid build of the droids around him, especially with the 2Bs taking the brunt of the force. He wasn't fighting against mobile turrets; these droids knew how to fight. As the wave was lauched, one of the large 2Bs moved in front of it with its own massive shield and blocked the smaller droids from the attack, only suffering negligible damage in the process.

However, before further retaliation could be made against V, the canister rifle shots were fired at the droids on the east side. Between one and two dozen droids of varying types were splintered with the fragments. Out of dumb luck, most of the 1Bs not immediately by it were saved because 2Bs were aroudn to take the brunt of the damage; any that had been in the immediate area were ravaged and downed offline anyway. There were no organic beings besides Vous in the area. The flee-bots wouldn't get very far in doing much with the droids besides shutting them down. The moment the droid programming detected any kind of attempt to redirect its software or hardware, the droid would simply go offline and lock out anything trying to reactivate the system. Too much tampering would result in self destruction. Those droids that had managed to escape damage and infection quickly fled away. They would be able to return to work later. For now, Vous would be left to plummet from the air.

The spare parts that lay ravaged would be quickly eaten, allowing for the swarm to continue it's replication process to a higher degree. Their inability to activate their systems from being destroyed left them as suitable harvests for the tiny drones, which was a boon to their activities. Making their way into the next batch of damaged droids proved to be quite educational, as they began to process and absorb the unit an an amazing rate. Data collected would be sent through the swarm, eventually being relayed back to the Hive Mind.

Of course the drones were overzealous, and a noteworthy amount of their number would be lost to the ensueing explosions of the offline droids self-destructing. This inspired the others to move along the inner workings of the other droids, starving themselves long enough to attempt to locate the physical trigger systems for the explosives themselves, or the firing sections for any other weaponry. by deacitivating and consuming these key components they would ensure the offline units remained intact long enough to be more closely studied. It was much the same as eating away the hammar of a gun, to allow the chamber and bullets to be inspected.

Still, chances were another Citadel drone or two would explode in the effort.

Mugiri continued to misunderstand that he wasn't in any spot to care about honor. Mastema didn't really care what the man did in the fight as long as it was actually practice. "Use whatever you feel necessary in a fight; honor hardly has a place in real battle. If you worry about your dignity too much in a fight you probably will not last long enough to care. However, let other people spar first before you take another bout."

Upon Mastema's statement, Slayer added his own: "Well is there anyone else who would like to participate?"

"Oh yeah," Zeno added, "I'm up next. I've been waiting for this." Without even waiting for anyone else to say something, Zeno was walking towards the street to do battle.

Slayer blinked and watched the warrior, glad to see Zenogais enthusiastic about something again but confused about what his plan was. "Ah, very well, Zenogais, but who will be your opponent."

Zeno simply jerked his thumb over his shoulder, back where he'd come from. Simultaneously, a beep would be heard from Proto as the bot raised its hand. "Ah," was all Slayer could think to say. "Then.... let's get started." The prospect of the normally stationary doorman fighting against Zeno was a little farfetched to Slayer.

Within a minute, both Proto and Zeno were on the street, about ten meters from eachother. Zeno was armed with Fuuraiken and whatever insidious devices he had inside his body. Proto had, seemingly, only his standard large shield on his left arm and a melee sword in his right hand. Of course, Proto would normally use a rifle, but sword training would prove much more valuable. Zeno didn't feel the need to use a shield right now, feeling it would only slow him down and clash with his freehand sword style.

Mastema stood by idly, more than anxious to see how this unusual fight would turn out.

The only reason Proto wasn't instead focusing on helping his robotic brethren was because he couldn't do any more. They had already begun to retreat and there was no obvious target to go after. He was watching over the other droids and giving them any commands which might be more efficient. It was his intervention that had saved some of the droids from Vous's wave attack. Furthermore, Proto could tell from the fact that some of the downed droids had self destructed that they were being overtaken by the bots released from the second canister. The flee-bots would succeed in disabling a few self termination devices; however, the second half of drones they moved on to would seem to detonate before the bots even got inside. Proto was remote detonating them, knowing they were unable to be saved but still capable of slowing down or stopping the swarm of small bots.

*Nana would blink when Proto motioned that he wanted to figth, however she hadn't forgotten that Proto was a combat model prototype. She'd also not forget that Zenogais and Proto had been one more than one scrap, and in a smaller area at that. If things started going too far..... something would have to be done. A sparring match to bare witness to for certain; Nana also seemed to be a little anxious but more so, hoping that nothing would go horribly wrong. Nana would let out a light huff, just waiting for things to begin*

So this is how damned droids danced, zombiefication of man's souless mockeries. Proto would have the pleasure of seeing his fallen brethren spur to life, though much of it wasn't to their own accord. The swarm needn't the actual programming of the unit to make it move, even as they connected and aligned themselves, growing like a black fungus within the fell droids. They would move the droids limbs by the sheer motivation, causing a jerky-like movement at first as they rose from their positions.

The other drones that were remote-detonated were of little consequence. The drones that fell therein would be destroyed, and those bits of the swarm were off-shoots in excess to that which had taken the dormant ones. Much like with any zombie, many of the useful traits of the host were lost to the virus eating and consuming, and in turn motivating it.

Not that the swarm expected Proto to cry, but the Hive Mind did expect Mas to be a bit pissed off that the swarm was doing all in it's power to march a few of his droid designs back towards he who would teleport them away from the area and into an elusive factory.

It would probably be useless to use some jerky, broken droids now, but never the less, the other droids had already escaped. They would be dealt with in time.

Both Proto and Zeno were dead still, just waiting for the signal to go. If they weren't armed, one would think they would just grab eachother's neck and see who could pop whose head off first. Slayer raised his hand in preparation for starting the fight. After a short few seconds, Slayer's hand swiped down. "Begin!"

In the same instant, Zeno seemed to be lifted off the ground by some unseen force and was hurted at Proto. Performing a forward flip, Zeno put both of his feet forward, seemingly with the intent of stomping down on Proto. Proto did the most obvious move and stepped back as Zeno's feet made a loud 'crash' on the ground where he had been; unfortunately, this played right into Zeno's hands. As he came down, Zeno brought down his sword, double-handed in full swing. All Proto could do to save himself was move his shield in front of the attack. The move barely saved him and the force of impact, plus Proto's being in mid-jump, threw him off balance and tilted the bot to his left. Quickly recovering and seizing the chance, Zeno brought down Fuuraiken on Proto's right, purposely giving Proto the chance to block with his own sword. Horribly off balance, Proto brought up his sword and blocked Zeno's slash, once again doing as the bot had hoped. With Proto's left off balance and his right side occupied in blocking Fuuraiken, Zeno threw himself forward and rammed his shoulder into Proto's chest.

That was the last hit it took to send Proto off the ground, flying backwards, before scraping his back against the ground with sparks flying. Zeno's combo had been brutal and managed to put Proto down on the first try. If the rest of the battle was like this, Proto was hopelessly outclassed.

"AHHHAHAHAHAHA!!" Zeno's laughter broke through the air, all to amused at how easily Proto had been sent to the ground. "Is this all that our doorman has!? Good lord, we'd be safer melting you down and making you into doorlocks if you're going to fight like this. I haven't even started and you're already down!" It was a cruel joke made at Proto's expense. Zeno was in no rush to charge in and gave Proto time to get up. It didn't seem necessary to evoke the lightning powers of Fuuraiken.

Voustant layed lifeless ontop of the dome. He didn't seem o move but he was very much alive. He opend his eyes and saw that he was stairing up into the sky.

He let out a small laugh and a cry of the pain. "Hmm guess that's what I get for attacking something I don't even know of."

Voustant tried to sit up but was in to much pain to move. He slammed his head back against the dome making a loud thud sound.

"God what the heck was I thinking, also how did I bring out that power."

Voustant then remember that his blade was no were in sight. He tryed to pull himself to get up and see if it was anywere around him. But he couldn't move.

"Great now I have no weapon and im stuck up here."
PostPosted: Mon Aug 28, 2006 2:18 pm

After awhile Voustant musters up the courage to slid down the side of the dome and stand up. Slowly but surly he makes his way to the forest. He stopped and looked back to see the worker droids back doing what they had been doing.

"Stupid droids."

He started through the forest not knowing were to go to get some rest and recover.

Yuri would blink as the eye would seem to do nothing for a few minutes, merely observing him for the time being. And in that time, Yuri began to become accustomed to the odd creature, actually managing a small smile. "Tell me, are you lonely?" he asked softly, trying to understand how this creature must feel. Somehow, Yuri seemed to be relating to this... thing, in a way.....

*Silence would be the only answer, much like an animal in the wild it did not appear to speak in any translatable language, though it could make sounds other than the loud drumming, Slayer and Tyrsais could account for that. They had afterall heard the creatures cries one night and followed them to it, in an old building. However it seemed that it had no reason to make a sound as it stood. Whether or not the creature was truly lonely only it knew for sure*

???: ............

*Meanwhile at the spar between Proto and Zenogais, it was a first round knock out. Proto seemed outclassed but overall seemed alright so far. Hopefully the 'definition' of spar wouldn't need to be quoted durring this match, as much as it was needed in the last*

Mugiri watched silently, holding his elbows in a crouched stance, his eyes slightly glazed as he lost interest. his tail moved on its own, swaying back and forth.

Yuri would chuckle sudden, smiling to himself strangely. "Of course, you can't talk. Sorry, I suppose I'm the lonely one here, talking to you like this." He would suddenly let out a small laugh, the first one he had given for as long as he could remember. "Sorry. I'm sorry for laughing. I'm... pathetic, aren't I? Acting like this....." He would smile softly, though it would seem he was sighing on the inside....

*So... what was it the creature was supposed to do now, or rather what was it expected to do? Console Yuri? It wasn't likely. Well, if anything Yuri didn't appear to be hostile towards it, that was nice considering his sire had injured it at least once, and had attacked it at least a half dozen times by now. It seemed that there was a little bit of action going on inside of the citadel besides the sparring. It would be enough to draw the creature, as the huge eye appeared to pull back over top of the wall that Yuri was by. Something else somewhere was interesting and needed to be oggled by the huge eye before it went into its seclution again. It might take a moment or two before Yuri realised that he was apparently alone again. The air cooling as the creature began to leave the area*

Zackala woke in the silence of his new house and sat up, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. It had cooled a bit; a quick glance to the rusting barrel he had dragged into the house showed that the flames had stopped burning some time before, though a faint glow showed him that some embers still clung to a small bit of life. Leaning against the headboard, Zack drew the comforter up over his shoulders and contemplated what to do next.

Voustant walks out of the forest. He looks at the dome seeing the blood of his wounds still remain. He shook his head and walked over to a patch of grass and sat indian style. He crossed his arms over his chest and sat there looking at thr dome watching all the droids at there work doing something to the dome.

He had interfered last time which was a mistake. This time he was gonna sit and wait to see what would happen. With no weapon on him he was a bit erie about the place, but had no weapon because it was lost.

He now sits and sits and sits on the green patch of grass waiting for a reply............

And just as quickly as the creature had arrived, it was gone, leaving Yuri sitting there for a moment. After a few moments of sitting there with a strange smile on his face he stood up, dusting himself off slowly. "See you around...." he said softly to where the eye had been before heading off down the street once more, feeling better than he had before as he walked along the empty streets....
