"Anna! Before Quagsire gets another chance to attack, use Psychic on him!" The ghost grinned, and stared down her opponent, emitting a bit of spiritual energy. A purple aura began forming around the other Pokemon's body, but he refused to be trapped by Anna. He held control of his body for as long as he possibly could, but in the end it was really no contest. Anna overtook his body, and raised him up into the air, introducing him to the ground a few moments later. She repeated this a few more times before finally lifting him up only a little bit.
Nina nodded to her sister, indicating it was her turn. "Storm!" Whitney called, "Use a Hail-Weather Ball attack combo, and like, quick!" Storm nodded. Hopefully this will be enough, she thought to herself, before looking to the sky, and watching dark gray clouds overtaking the sun. The clouds opened up, sending a shower of ice downward, pelting Anna and Quagsire. Storm, however, was the exception. Her body transformed again, this time taking the shape of what resembled a tornado.
Launching her third Weather Ball into the air, it came down this time as a beautiful crystalline object, and if light was shining it would have been refracted into a miniature rainbow. The ball crashed onto Quagsire's head and immediately after impact, Anna released her hold on him. However, Quagsire didn't show any pain. He looked to his opponents, and started to walk forward to attack them.
He didn't get very far before tripping over his own two feet, knocking himself out.

Mike quickly surveyed the opposition, taking note of Sherri's Lanturn and Flygon. That fish looks kinda like the Pokemon Sasha had. He though back to her Chinchou, Light Bulb was it? Looks like a water type, He shrugged. simple enough. He turned to the Flygon, he definitely knew those. A mix of envy and fright decorated his gaze. Flygon are Dragon and Ground, that makes Beacon practically useless, even with his TM moves. He laughed at the thought of Tackle being his most effective move against the Dragon. I guess that's where P.B. comes in...
"Volty, Stockpile!" Sherri ordered, apparently anxious to start. "Goggles, use Faint Attack on the...Grass Pokemon!"
Good, she doesn't know about Portabello's dual type. Mike smirked, glad to have at least a momentary advantage.
As the Flygon vanished into thin air, the Breloom went into immediate alert mode, sliding his leg to the side and raising his claws. Wordlessly he stood still, closing his eyes. The air around him wavered, a shadow appeared right on top of him. His heart spiked as he felt the Dragon's presence behind him, practically breathing up his frill. Portabello whipped around to meet his foe, but was caught in the leg by the unavoidable strike. The Breloom launched his claw forward, hitting nothing but air, as Flygon had disappeared as fast as it arrived. The attack hit, but not hard, the Fighting nature of him helped soften the blow.
Quick, when he reappears launch a Leech Seed! Mike commanded, already wary of Sherri's Flygon.
As if on cue, the Mystic Pokemon warped back to his starting position. Before he had fully materialized, Portabello rolled his tongue into a tube. spitting a dozen or so seeds at it. Flygon, not expecting to be attacked so soon, was unprepared and hit by all of them, the vines entangling it and sapping some energy back to the Breloom.
Beacon attempted to mimic Portabello, sticking his tongue out. Instead of seeds, spit was fired at a dangerous speed, causing a whole centimeter of the ground to turn to mud. Ooh, how frightening!
Mike giggled, feeling his Ampharos' personality start to take over as he issued the command. "Okay!" He wiggled his hips, winking at Sherri, who gave him the most flabbergasted look. "Use your Thunderbolt on that fishy!"
"Whoop!" Beacon rather liked his trainer when he acted like this, as he happily prepared and loosed a charged electrical blast at the Lanturn.
The girl only smirked as the Thunderbolt was absorbed into the Light Pokemon's body, doing no damage whatsoever. "Looks like you forgot about Volty's dual type Water and Lightning." He wagged her finger, giddy with her now glaring advantage.
Dear irony, I hate you. Hugs and kisses, Mike.

"Dragonbreath! Spit Up!" The girl barked, quite pleased with her good start. "Goggles, go for the Grass Pokemon, Volty, you hit the Ampharos!" She laughed, pointing with two fingers at Mike's Pokemon.
Gotta think fast! He felt his palms shake, quickly blurting out for Beacon to use Brick Break on the Lanturn. Portabello, Bulk Up!
Being the faster one, Goggles exhaled a stream of orange like energy, resembling flames, at Portabello. The Grass Pokemon crossed his arms over his face, attempting to lower the hit. He was struck, the energy wrapping around his bod. The Breloom felt his joints lock up. Paralysis. He scoffed as the grassy fur on his body weaved and formed a mesh like consistency, raising his Defense. Portabello grunted, his leg and arm muscles expanding greatly, raising his Attack. As the Fighting Pokemon buffed up, he breathed a sigh of relief as the Leech Seed returned a small portion of health back to him. It wasn't much, but every little bit helped. Why am I not retaliating Master? He looked back, slightly annoyed about being hit and not able to fight back.
Trust me. Mike thought, wishing he could say the same about himself.
At the same time as Portabello's exchange, Beacon lunged forward, rearing his flipper back, the Ampharos' entire hand glowing with a faint brown hue. He cried out, striking the Lanturn on the top of the head with quite a bit of force. The moment he hit, Volty's throat expanded, a few nauseous gurgles rumbled from his mouth. It threw up a large ball of energy, which homed in on Beacon and exploded, causing him to tumble backwards. "Owie..." The Electric Pokemon murmured, rubbing his side as he got up.
Mike narrowed his eyes, Sherri returning his glare. She was good, a fact that the boy didn't want to admit. "Not bad girl," He said with a humph.
"Right back at ya kiddo." She retorted, her energy far from spent. "It's nice to have strong opponents." Now that was something the boy could agree with.
"Time to heat things up." Mike said to himself, eying Portabello, who was Paralyzed.
Perfect.

Ludicolo slid his feet across the sand once more, this time actually battling against Kilik's Flareon. The command of 'Smooth Moves Style' had been issued, and the Pokemon was smart enough to know exactly which attack to use. Since they were fighting on the beach, it didn't take long before a massive wave came up out of the water. Kilik looked over his shoulder and made a mad dash further inland, getting off the sands and into the outskirts of Fuchisa.
Flareon wasn't so lucky. He was struck, hard, by the Surf and was sent into a large rock located on the beach. He let out a painful howl and landed into the sand, standing up slowly as the water retreated. "Flareon! Use Bite!" Kilik called. The fox nodded, making a dash towards Ludicolo with his head reared back. A pair of fangs sunk themselves into the dancing Pokemon's arm.
He let out a whimper, then began to flail his arm rapidly to remove his fox opponent. However, when Flareon failed leave him, he clenched his other hand into a fist.
Kilik ran back onto the beach, digging his foot into the soft mud and slicing the air with his arm. "Hard Rock Style!" he called, pulling his arm back and playing an air guitar. Complying with his trainer's command, Ludicolo swung his fist into Flareon's jaw in a close range Astonish. His fangs ripped from the target and he was sent into the sand with a bit of a slide. A trench was left in his wake. Flareon stood up slowly and barked at his sparring partner.

Rik recalled his fallen Pokemon, digging into his pocket as he approached Nina. "Well," he said, "you have most certainly proven your worth as a trainer. And I'm not referring just to you," he went on, looking to Nina. "Your partners are also very skilled." He paused, and looked from Nina to Whitney to Raimundo, and looked back to Whitney for several seconds.
By the look in his eyes, Nina knew he had recognized Whitney as Goldenrod's Gym Leader. He stepped in front of her to break the gaze that she was being cast. "So. May we have our rewards, then?" The Rocket member chuckled a bit. "Awfully grabby, aren't we?" He seemed to be joking, but Nina didn't like the tone of his voice. He pulled out three small, perfectly rounded pure gold nuggets from his pocket, and handed one out to each of the friends. I wonder where the Team's been digging to find the gold to just hand out like this, the girl thought, eyeing her nugget in her hands.
"Well sir," she said, "it was... most certainly an adventure to battle all of you. Maybe I'll return someday for a rematch." Rik smiled a little, but Nina could tell it was forced. "That would be... perfectly enthralling. You all have a nice day, now." With a little nod, Nina and company headed back down to Cerulean, and pushed through the doors of the Pokemon Center. The trainers handed Nurse Joy their afflicted Pokemon, and sat on the couch while they waited.
Whitney, however, wouldn't shut up about how "super fantabulously amazingly uberly gorgeous" her gold nugget was, and how she was planning on "turning it into, like, some kick-butt awesome cool ring or pendant thingie." Before her brain exploded, Nina took out her Pokenav, and clicked to type a new text message. She marked Kasiya as the addressee.
Kasiya, Hey! It's me again. Hopefully you got my last message. I'm all done with my battles here in Cerulean, so I thought I'd give you the heads-up. If you want to have that battle with me now, then you can meet me back in Saffron, at my Gym. Granted, I haven't restored the Gym's puzzles yet, so I'm afraid you'll only be walking into a very simple arena and meeting up with me. I'll be seeing you soon! *Nina*
The Pidgey carried the message away on the LCD screen.

Mike crossed his arms, he wore a serious expression. Portabello, use that move Norman gave you, Facade! Its power should be upped now that you're under Paralysis, not to mention your Bulk Up!
A light bulb went off in the Breloom's head, suddenly his Master's plan made sense. Yes, as you wish! He replied, moving into an offensive stance, he had to wait for the right moment.
"Goggles, use Dragon Claw on that walking mushroom!" Sherri yelled out, then commanding Volty to use Take Down on the same target.
The Flygon flapped its diamond shaped wings, swooping down with Portabello in his sights, his claws shining in the afternoon sun. The Breloom stood his ground, waiting as the Dragon got closer. Goggles growled as his hands moved back, leaving his face unguarded. Seconds before impact, Portabello, jumped into the air launching himself forward and thrusting his clawed hand right at the Flygon's forehead. Coupled with Facade's natural boost in power due to the Breloom's status affliction, his recent Bulk Up, and his already stellar Attack stat, the damage was enormous. Goggles' Dragon Claw powered down as he was was slammed into the ground, his face grinding against the gravel. Portabello landed softly, then fell to his knees. The attack was a huge strain on his body, and if it weren't for the Paralysis he would have been able to dodge Volty's high speed tackle. It was too much, and the Pokemon dropped to the ground. I hope I could be of assistance...Master. With that, the honorable Pokemon fainted, and was shortly recalled back.
The word 'wow' was all Mike could muster himself to say, Portabello's attack was amazing! He was really kicking himself for neglecting him this long.
Goggles struggled to get up, his face all cut up and bruised. He was weak, but had just enough left to do one or two more attacks. At least he thought so, as the last bit of his health was yanked from him, traveling over to Beacon, healing him up a bit.
"Holy crap!" Sherri shrieked, recalling the Flygon. "That was so strong! Did you have that planned from the beginning?" She looked at him with those hopeful eyes again, awaiting an answer.
"Uh..." He stammered. "Yeah! Totally! Completely even!" Mike laughed, nervously scratching the back of his head. "Anywy, Beacon, how about a...nother Brick Break?" The boy shrugged, looking at his confused Pokemon.
The Ampharos looked saddened. "No zappy?"
"No zappy." Mike replied.
"Nyoro...." Rejected, Beacon swung his arm forward, slapping Volty across the face in a rather comical manner. The Lanturn looked insulted, retaliating with Water Gun directed at the Electric Pokemon's face. Now it was Beacon's turn to be angry. With a pained cry, the Ampharos tackled Volty, slapping his around. The two traded blows in a chaotic melee, both trainers yelling orders that fell on deaf ears.

Ludicolo clapped his hands together, laughing happily as he watch Flareon continue to fight him. His Tango Style was his best yet; he managed to dodge every time Kilik told him to. His repeated victories in dodging really boosted his self esteem. The Carefree Pokemon looked over at Kilik and clapped again, still bouncing and bobbing to the beat in his head.
Flareon, on the other hand, wasn't fairing so well. The fox had taken a high amount of damage, even if Ludicolo was many levels below him. What was the point in battling an opponent he could almost never hit? Considering the constant Surf and Astonish attacks, the small Pokemon was surprised he hadn't fallen earlier. He ran over to Kilik and climbed up his shoulder, licking his cheek. "You deserve quite a rest, Flareon," Kilik told him, "You battled hard and really gave me an insight on what Ludicolo is capable of." Holding up the fox's Pokeball, he whispered 'return' before Flareon was engulfed in red light and sucked back inside the orb. He turned his attention to Ludicolo.
"Great job, Ludi!" he laughed. The Pokemon waddled over to his owner and placed his hands onto Kilik's shoulders. He then began to spin around happily, laughing all the while. Kilik followed suit, jumping up and down with Ludicolo. A smile spread across his face; the Carefree Pokemon had an addictive personality. Kilik let go and unclipped another Pokeball. "Care to challenge another partner?" he asked, rolling Weezing's Pokeball along the top of his hand before clutching it again.

The ball burst open, revealing the strangely shaped Pokemon. The same goofy expression lay on his face as always. Weezing spun around quickly to look at Kilik, then gave him a massive lick to his face. Kilik shuddered, feeling the disgusting saliva on his cheek. Wiping it onto his gloved hand, and then onto Weezing's face, he nodded. "You'll be battling against Ludicolo, okay?" he said, "You've got the advantage because you're a Poison-type." Weezing nodded, turning to face his opponent. However, he was suddenly twirled around by something and forced to look into Kilik's eyes. "I'm not done," Kilik said, "You've got to---" He was cut off by another nod from Weezing, who against spun to look at Ludicolo. "No!" he grabbed Weezing and turned him again, however it was a bit too sharp and forceful of a turn.
Kilik's lips pressed against those of his Weezing. The boy could feel vomit rising up into his throat. He quickly pushed the Poison-type away, gagging and clutching his throat. Weezing blushed madly, then began to spew out hearts. He whistled a small song and then twirled around happily.
"I wasn't aware you and Weezing were like that!" called a voice.

"All right, see you then Dante!" Mitsu said clicking her Pokenav shut and tucking it away in her bag. "Let's get going Hak-- KUUUU" Mitsu screamed as she fell down the side of the cliff. Unaware that she had been walking while talking and neared the edge the clueless trainer had slipped upon some loose rocks and was sent sliding down the side of the cliff. Needless to say it hurt. Lucky for Haku and herself Mitsu was able to stop half way down the mountain side. Red droplets of blood rushed down the side of her leg from a new and fresh open wound. She let loose a small groan, only a few days (or was it weeks) ago she and Kasiya had taken a tumble down the side of Mount Chimney. "Oh, how I hate you Lavaridge mountains," Mitsu mumbled looking down at her legs.
After a few moments and idea sparked into her mind. "Kyuu, I wonder if it'll work." Setting Haku down in her lap Mitsu closed her eyes and drew upon all the concentration she had. Ignoring the pain she set her hand on the wound and began to focus. She could feel the red liquid hot upon her hands as she began to conjour up images of the healing back in the Viridian Forest.
Opening her eyes Mitsu was quite disappointed to see that the wound was still there and had not disappeared. "It was worth a shot," she mumbled glancing down at her hand which was now painted red with her own blood. "Maybe it's still possible though," she mused. A small part of the wound seemed to have healed. Or was that just her eyes playing tricks on her mind?
For the short moment that her trainer had been talking to herself Haku seemed to have found a way off Mitsu's lap and into a small pile of rocks. "Seaaa!" the Pokemon trilled, tears in his eyes. A small gash was cut open in one of his fins. "Oh, come here," Mitsu said picking up the baby Pokemon. With her clean hand Mitsu touched the wound gingerly while closing her eyes. She hummed a soft tune to quite the wailing Pokemon. Upon opening her eyes Mitsu first noticed that the Pokemon had stopped crying and had promtply gone to sleep. Secondly she noticed that the small wound had vanished, as if it had never been there before. "Woah . . ." she whispered to herself before recalling the sleeping Horsea.

Now that Dante had gotten off of his phone Linalee decided it would be a good time to make conversation. "So I like the new hair look." She said genuinely liking the white even though his hair and been cool before. "What are you going to do now that you're stuck in that bed?" she asked.

"Hi!" Train said, and walked over to Brock. Her Pikachu jumped down from her shoulder. It knew why they were here, and was eager for a battle.
"This time, I've come to challange you!" She said confidently. "I've been training, and I think my pokemon are ready now." Train grinned, and her Pikachu said, "Pikachu!", seeming to echo her.

"All right then!" Brock stated as the two took opposite sides of the arena. "How does a two pokemon battle, no switching or items sound to you?" He asked the challenger as his hands absent mindedly went to the two pokeballs on his belt.

Train nodded. "Fine with me." She said. She unclipped a pokeball from her belt, and it grew bigger in her hand. She tossed it, and Ratata appeared in front of her. "Alright, Ratata!" She said. "This is what we've been training for!"
Ratata looked at Train. It sensed this battle was important, unlike the others. It would do it's best to win.

Mag awoke at mid-morning the next day. He went lazily over to the cafeteria and had a breakfast of waffles with peanutbutter and maple syrup on top as well as some milk. Once finished he made his way into the lobby to find an obnoxious girl chatting about turning a gold nugget into jewelry or some such nonsense while her two companions, another girl of around the same age and a boy also similar in age, were looking away in slight embarassment.

Brock looked on at the new opponent before him. Alas, another new trainer taking a normal type in a rock/ground gym. It was silly how so many had tried when their pokemon were not ready yet. Always prepared Brock sent out his trusty Geodude Attacks: Protect, Rock Tomb, Tackle, Defense Curl, Mud Sport, Rock Throw
