Kiater Aburame
Oni-Chan

"Now, the first thing a smart kunoichi should do is to master the arts of her clan..." said Mitsuko as she thought of ways to continue this topic. "Now I am aware that you are of the aburame clan, and you specialize in manipulating the parasetic destruction beetles, am I correct? Because this trait is unique to you, you should try using it for a variety of purposes....what would you do if a taijutsu user attacked you with a spinning kick? how would you use your special trait to counter that?" After she said that, Mitsuko made a kagebunshin and it did a normal kick right at Kiater.

(feel free to train in the techniques of the academy by yourself...I'll be here giving you hints for what comes later on. You train and I talk) whee

((I'm not sure if this Guild uses Dice or anything. sweatdrop ))

Kiater listened to her Sensei silently but thuroly((Sp.?)), answering her questions.
"Yes, I'm apart of the Aburame Clan and yes, I specialize in manipulating parasetic destruction beetles", Kiater answered to her Sensei as she asked the questions. The next question her Sensei asked, Kiater didn't reply because she would just show her what she would do. She wants me to use my insects to evade the kick when I could just block it?, Kiater thought and created three quick seals with her hands raised in front of her while the kick was comming at her. Kikai Bunshin No Jutsu. I guess I'll use my insects then, she thought as her Sensei's kick hit her insect clone and it smashed into the ground. The beetles scattered then came right back to Kiater, who was standing about ten feet behind the clone. The insects ran to her anckles and up to the inside of her skin.

Mitsuko smiled and nodded, but there was a bit more she could have done with that. "You are a quick thinker...but when an opponent attacks, you must not only defend yourself an enemy's attack against them. Instead of calling the insects back into your body, you could simply have them swarm onto the opponent once they come in contact with your insect clone. Since this strategy works for all taijutsu techniques, this concludes kunoichi lesson number 1: taijutsu."

Mitsuko was relieved she had found a student that does not rely on other people to tell her what to do. Her quick thinking had helped her avoid the kick. "Now, let's move onto lesson #2: genjutsu..." Mitsuko made a string of handseals and then training grounds started humming with a strange noise and Mitsuko dissolved into the air. Suddenly, a tree burst out of the floor and started to wrap around kiater...

(I mean...you need to get some training down to increase you skill points. And you do that by posting the process of learning the technique. each post is worth 100 skill points. while you are training, I can just tell you about strategies without disturbing your training, cuz I'm usually not online when you're online.)

Hedoro

Hedoro looked at the test, reading it over before she began. She wasn't sure if that was a good idea, but figured it was worth a shot. If she read all the questions ahaed of time, they could bounce around in the back of her thoughts while she worked up to them. Of course, that meant she could get them mixed up as well, so this method probably wouldn't stick around too long.
She began filling out the answers that she knew, trying to put a little more into each answer, even if it took more time. That had been something that had cost her points earlier, not answering the question fully. She'd be careful not to let that happen again. Especially on this test. These questions seemed a little harder than the last one, she had to try to recall almost everything she'd learned in the past few days just to have a shot at answering most of the questions. And there were even a few that she was positive that she'd never heard of, how in the world could she answer them? She still tried, of course, just on the off chance she'd happen to say the right answer by luck. Probably wouldn't work, but if it did, then that was a bonus.

Tamao

Setting her pencil down, Tamao took a moment to rest. She wasn't done with the test, there was still a little bit left, but she needed a rest. She'd been using her brain all day, and if she didn't lighten up, she could very well burn out and cost herself the exam. That was simply unacceptable, she'd have to make sure to let herself rest every so often to make sure it didn't happen. They said it was important to rest the day before a big test, maybe she'd give that a try?
After a moment, she felt up to continuing, and pressed on. It seemed to have payed off, her mind felt a little sharper and she breezed through the last few questions. Setting her pencil down again, she looked over her answers and was pretty satisfied with them. Of course, they hadn't been graded yet, so she couldn't say for sure how she did. But it looked good to her, and for the moment that was enough. She wondered how Hedoro was faring on her test? Glancing over, she seemed to be working hard, that was good. Hopefully she'd continue to improve and get better, make all this work she was putting into graduating pay off.

Hedoro

Hedoro finally started working on the test, filling in the answers as she went down the page. Her method wasn't doing too shabby, it didn't seem like any answers were getting mixed up yet. Of course if they were, she might not even notice, but so far everything looked good. And what was more, she was making good time.
But then she came to one of the impossible questions. Not really impossible, at least for a student who'd been studying longer than her, but as for her, so difficult it was virtually impossible. She'd come back to it, for now she'd stick to the ones she at least had a hunch on. After she had finished answering the ones she at least had an inkling about, she returned to the hard ones. even after giving them more time, she was still clueless. So she thought more about the type of question rather than what it meant. Maybe if she understood that, she could make up an answer that would be close? She didn't have a better idea, so she went with that, putting down whatever seemed to be an appropriate answer, and hoping for the best. Finally finishing, she set the paper aside and looked around to see if anything had changed while she was preoccupied.

Tamao

Tamao noticed that Hedoro had finished as well, so it was time to check her work. They switched tests, and began grading them. The process went a little faster this time, since they'd just done it a few hours before. Hedoro had done pretty good, a little better than the last one. Not by much, just one or two questions, but it had been a harder test. She had half-expected her to miss a few more instead of a few less. Not because she doubted her abilities, but because she had wanted her to do so.
If she had done not quite as good, it might have fired her up to do even better next time. This result might be even better, though. If she'd noticed the test was harder, and she'd still done better, that'd be a really nice boost to her confidence. Setting her pencil down, she double-checked what her results had been. Yup, Hedoro had gotten almost all of them right, only fifteen wrong, better than her last grade by an entire bracket. It was still close, if even one more had been wrong it wouldn't have counted as an improvement in the books, but she'd pulled it off. Maybe she'd keep getting better, with enough practice? If only they had more time!
PostPosted: Wed Mar 28, 2007 7:59 pm

Hedoro

Going over the paper, Hedoro made sure to put an X by each wrong answer, and a circle by each right one. By the time she was near the end, she realized she'd hardly made any Xs at all! Once she finished, she double-checked the answers, and her own grading. It was right, out of the fifty questions she'd put on the test, Tamao had only missed three! Such a high rating made her wonder if the test was too easy.
No, that couldn't be it, she had done her best to make each test a challenge, and the last one had been about equal to this one. Maybe this one had been a little easier, but not by enough to make such a difference. No, this was all Tamao. That break for lunch and walk must have done her a world of good, because she had certainly improved. It made Hedoro a little jealous, but that only made her want to try harder on the next test. She wasn't sure if she could beat Tamao, but she'd at least try. Even if she didn't beat her, she would still improve and learn more than she might otherwise have done. And intelligence was just as important to a battle as physical power, after all. Maybe even moreso.

Tamao

They had both finished grading each other's tests, so handed them back. Both of them seemed happy enough with their grades, since they had both improved by at least a little. After going over their mistakes on their own, they spent some time explaining the mistakes they had each made. This was just like they had done the first time, and hopefully by repeating this action, it'd become second nature for them to look for mistakes on their own, to fix them ebfore they caused problems.
By then, it was getting kind of late. It wasn't dark yet, but it was nearing suppertime, and about half of the students had already left for the day. They could have stuck around, but everyone had their own way of deciding what was best. Tamao and Hedoro decided to call it a day, at least as far as the official classes were concerned. They might very well end up studying more before bed, or maybe they'd just save the rest that they had planned for tomorrow. They gathered their things and got up, ready to leave. The instructor bid them good night, and told them to be sure to show up on time tomorrow. They both nodded, and went on their way.

"Now that you have learned the Bushin no Jutsu as well as the Henge no Jutsu then I can now teach you the Art of Substitution!" Instructor Chi spoke to Draven. Draven nodded as he has done before wondering what will come out of this. Instructor Chi pulled out a glass plate and tossed it to Draven. Draven Caught the plate and before he knew it Istructor Chi spoke again, "Throw the plate here It wond hurt me!" She spoke as if sure the plate wont touch her. Skepticly Draven threw the plate at Instructor Chi. As the plate soared through the air towards the figure of instructor. Draven closed his eyes slightly as he looked outside away from the plate crashing against the suposidly teacher. Draven watched as the instructor varnished into the air only to allow the plate to crash instead against a log. Draven looked to were the log sat in the chair idoly for a few sends wondering what happend to the instructor.

The instructor then walked out of the closet where she stood watching Draven's expresions. Draven poked at the log only to find out that it was a real log. Draven turned towards the instructor only to find out that She was already towards him. Draven looked towards the log before looking back at the instructor. "How did you do that?" the first words out of Dravens mouth for months on end sent the instructor agassed for this was the first time she has ever heard Draven talk. Draven looked at the instructor sincerly wondering if he had said anthing to either humiliate or blow up in his faceThe instructor laughed as she then redid what she had done slowly as to allow Draven some time to get down what he neded for the Art of Substitution.

As Instructor Chi moved her hands to perform the seals Draven copied not realizing what he was doing. His eyes shifting slowly to the way she was standing to the was the seals where done. Draven threw a shuriken this time only to hear the loud thudd of the shuriken as it stuck into the log where the instructor once stood. Instructor Chi tapped Draven on the shoulder only to starttle him slightly as he drew another shuriken ready for anything only to realize who it was once he turned around. Draven Looked at the Instructor a minute before nodding as in saying that he was ready to try it. "Good" said instructor Chi as she picked up a cup from the table ready to throw it at him. Draven stood the way the instructor stood as she started doing the seals. Draven copied the seals as he did when Instructor chi wa performing the jutsu. The instructor threw the glass at Draven only to have it shatter upon his head. Draven looked pissed at the fact it hit him. Draven then ruffled his hair allowing the glass shards to fall tinking as they hit the floor.

"tsk, tsk." Were the sounds that came out of the instructors mouth as she shook her head. "Try once more, but this time concentrate a little harder!" Draven nodded in agreement before getting into his stance. The instrucotr pulled out a shuriken this time with a grin of confidence upon her face as Draven started the seals for the jutsu. Chi flung the shuriken towards the figure of Draven only to watch it sink into his torso before his clothes fell towards the floor causing a tudd from the log conecting to the ground. Draven sliped up behind the instructor before tapping her upon the shoulder with a suriken."verry good Draven!" Spoke Chi. "Shall we move on to the next jutsu?" Chi asked as Draven shook his head the instructor moved the logs out of the room.

Instructor Chi looked pleased towards her student Draven as she then beckond him to walk outside, as she did this she spoke the words "Come let us continue onto water walking as your next course!" Draven noded as he then walked towards the pond that sat just ten feet from the class room. The instructor looked at Draven and said "These next two jutsu's are the hardest for they take alot of concetration. For instance you got to learn to control the chakra flow in your feet and legs to do them." The instructor took a few steps away from Draven before walking towards the waters edge. She stoped at the edge before putting both her feet together. She started to do the seals but first made sure Draven was watching. Draven of course was keeping a close eye upon his instructors hand gestures for he knew that they would also be a key to getting the jutsu down.

Draven was wrong and Chi knew this for she had a smirk upon her face as she took a step into the water. Chi then took a step backwards before looking to the figure of Draven and saying, "That is what happens if you do the seals wrong or dont apply enough Chakra also if you apply to much Chakra you just might also have a problem. Chi smirked once again before she repeated the same seals, Draven noticed she was having trouble herself with the chakra flow to do this. As the instructor finished the seals a blue arch was vissible around her feet, as Draven guessed it, it was the Chakra flow around Chi's feet.

Draven then stood up right as his hands moved faster then the second time performing the seals. Dravens mind clear he only concentrated upon his next movement and that was to walk on the water this attempt.

Draven performed the seals a bit faster this time as he was getting the hang of the movements that he is to perform. Draven stood there with his eyes closed concentrating upon his chakra. Draven once again walked forward he realized he did not fall in and getting a little excited he lost his chakra control and fell in. once again Draven pulled himself out of the pond a little angry with himself that he allowed to let his emotions better his concentration yet again.Draven also shook the water off his body once more allowing his damp hair to fall behind his shoulders. Draven then stood up right as his hands moved faster then the second time performing the seals. Dravens mind clear he only concentrated upon his next movement and that was to walk on the water this attempt.

5/6 Water Walking

As Draven finished the seals he walked towards the water. One step at a time he walked further out then he did last time. Draven then realized that he went farther and continued to stay focused upon the chakra flow. "Good Job Draven, now go to the other side and back!" Instructor Chi called out to Draven as he continued to walk across the water. Draven realized that the fish seemed to come up to the surface a lot more when there are no ripples from the walking or swimming in the pond. Draven reached the other side of the pond only to turn around and walk back to where his instructor remaind. Draven walked a little bit faster on his way back acrossed the pond hoping that he will not loose his control this close to the end. As Dravens feet fell upon the coast of the pond Draven's Instructor walked towards him only to shake her head up and down, "Cogrates!" Chi spoke as she then motioned him onto the next lesson.
