Christmas:

Kid Flash II logo shirt that GLOWS IN THE DARK
Connor Kent shield shirt
My friend got me both shirts, I gave her a huge list of about 10 Flash ones, with the only non Flash option being Connor, since the two flash logos I own have worn out so much they are retired to pajama top only~ I was really surprised she got me these two biggrin

A blue scarf... that was fuzzy... that looked like it was shaved off of a neon cookie monster. My mom later tried to support it by saying it was knitted by her old gym teacher. My reaction went something like: "I'M SORRY I CANNOT PRETEND TO LIKE THIS PLEASE FORGIVE ME~!!" We are giving it to my little cousin who will appreciate the scarf's...unique qualities... a lot more. xp

Batman Hamster House- I stalked this on e-bay for like a year but never caught one. I wanted it more as a joke--I work with mice at work, and said I would only take some home as pets if I had a Batman Hamster House for them to live in. I put it on ebay watch, bought it for myself and told my mom to wrap it up for Christmas since it got shipped home. wink

A Himalayan Salt candle- it's a huge hunk of salt with a hole drilled in the middle. It came with a little slip of paper about how the ions released into the air do away with depression and other negative feelings. My mom stressed this fact after I opened it. sweatdrop It weighs a lot for a candle holder, so I haven't taken it back to the apartment with me, yet. When I came home next after Christmas my mom had it in their bedroom on my dad's side of the bed... xd

$50 Gamestop giftcard
Justice League Heroes for PSP
Magic Starsign for DS
A purple bag with a cute mouse demon thingy on it
Some candy
A tokidoki purse heart heart heart
Black coach boots that actually fit around my Amazon calves

The cold hard cash~!:
$250 from Great Uncle Wes whee whee whee
$100 from my godfather whee whee whee
$50 from my aunt and uncle whee whee whee

....all of which went towards my credit card bill/power bill. ^^;;;;;;

As for New Year's, my resolutions remain the same as always:

Loose weight, draw every day or often as possible, overcome my fatigue and spend less time resting and more time drawing/cleaning/getting to work before noon. xd

I had planned to take another trip to Colorado during the New Year's holiday weekend but I decided against it. My boyfriend was in the hospital a few days before I would of been flying out there and was kept there until January 2. So my whole trip would have been visitng him in the hospital, which really consists of watching him sleep, watching nurses/doctors wake him up, and reading. Instead we decided I will come out next when he is scheduled to be off the prednisone (which made him have diabetes temporarily) so we can celebrate with cake and sugar filled orange juice~! wink

He just hit day 30 of his treatment and will have another bone marrow test on Monday to find if he is in remission. surprised

Hope everyone finds themselves safe and happy in 2008~!

This week I set up the cage which now has two new fuzzy inhabitants-- two wild type mice from my mouse colony at work. They are both wild type (meaning they have no genetic alterations). One is black and the other is agoudi(brown). I have named them Drusilla and Darla respectively. I took them home when they were about 23 days old (mice are ready to be weaned from their mother at 18 days old).

There are a few pics of them here: http://pics.livejournal.com/purupuru/gallery/0000hk33

They are very hard to photograph as by the time the camera autofocus thing finishes they move at the last second! They seem to know exactly when to stop moving still. whee

They are so cute..! They also make many noises I don't get to hear at work because of the loud fan in the room they are kept. Little chitters and a very soft squeak...very different than the loud ones they give when distressed, which is the only noise I had heard them make until now. sweatdrop

Hopefully they will help me with not feeling so lonely at the apartment. I have also brought my dog (a geriatric jack russell) to visit me, but she is a lot of work to care for! @_@ I really do not like walking her out in Harlem at 3AM... people have commented on how fat she is, or asked if she is pregnant. I'm like no, she is 14 years old, has cancer and is on a medicine that makes her put on weight in her belly! Leave my poor shakey dog alone! crying I tried to litter train her but telling her to "go potty" inside just makes her very confused and shake a lot. xp

Anyway, sorry for two posts in a row, but I wanted to share my new cuties.
wink

By the way, if anyone else ever gets tempted to acquire their own BATMAN HAMSTER HOUSE, be warned, it is really cheap plastic and the slightest amount of force will break/crack it. =_= Attachments of similar cages at Petco were able to fit on it though. xp

So I'm thinking for my 20th birthday (April) I'm going to get a tattoo. I was originally thinking of getting the Watchmen smiley on my shoulder, but now I'm thinking of doing something like this:

User Image

For those of you that don't know what that is, it's one of Black Label Society's logos (or something close to it) and their motto/creed: SDMF. Which stands for Strength. Determination. Merciless. Forever. (or Society-Dwelling ********, if you please).

The results of my boyfriend's day 30 marrow aspiration are in, and he's officially in remission~~ Yay~ whee Was a very long thirty days (probably much more for me than him mad ). He's currently in the hospital again with pancreatitis, so he was in need of some good news.

whee

Too bad there's no Supergirl Hamster Houses on e-bay. Just lame ol' Superman.
