im not sure really.....i think with all the new markerlight rules i migh tlike an uber pinning army of death with markerlights and carbines everywere....a squad of fire wariors with carbines would probably help my army alot, i might even drop some kroot and a sniper drone team for another set of wariors in a devilfish...or just more carbine wileding fanatics....now withthe new markerlight rules i am really liking carbines

Yeah but you have to hit with those market lights first and they are a Heavy1 type of weapon. Which means most of their uses are going to be vunerable if they do want to use them.
Multi Tracker and put it on a pulse rifle. If your smart youd shoot it first allowing for the bonus's to be applied to your later shooting

Yeah that is true. Personally I am not really going to go for a Marketlight heavy army. All though I might have the odd one. I can not wait for the Pirannah to come out. I am at least goig to have one squad of them. They are going to be great at taking tanks out.
By giving a Markerlight to your Firewarrior squads you dont have to have a slot for pathfinders

Oh yeah I forgot all about that. Now I just feel silly sweatdrop

Dirty Trick is, if you give your firewarrior squad leaders a Hw Multi tracker they can fire their gun and the marker light

The are a unique race, I myslef play them and I found one stradegy that accounts for a less than average BS. The XV-88 Broadside as all good tau owners know have the famous twin-linked rail gun system. As you know twin linked means if you miss roll the D6 to hit you may roll again. Now, it states in the current codex not the new Tau empire one, that you can give the XV-88 Broadside twin-linked plasma rifles in place of there seaker missle systems. This is a smart move though it costs +10 points. It is smart because then you can give the XV-88 Broadside a Multi-Tracker, so it is now capable of fireing two weapon systems per turn. If you havnt gotten it yet this means one You can fire the twin-linked rail guns and have two chances to his and then fire the twin-linked plasma rifles with two chances to hit. Now another trick, if you get an extra Crisis Battle suit give it the gun drone controller, the twin linked Pulse Carbines rock because if it wounds....PINNING TEST

Or you can make them less expensive and just give them the multi tracker rolleyes

Less than average Bs?LESS THAN AVERAGE!
Your hitting on 4+ retard!THATS AVERAGE!
Lets see what each race nees to hit on for their basic troops;
IG:4+
Eldar:4+
Dark Eldar:4+
Tau:4+
Orks:5+
Marines:3+
CSM:3+
Necrons...well I can't remember but I think it's 4+ again.

ZOMG!Which is the omst common?4+.

That's not really a "strategy" it's just stuff any decnet Tau player already knows.

Let me correct and expand that for you.

IG:4+
Eldar:4+
Dark Eldar:3+
Tau:4+
Tyranids: 4+
Orks:5+
Marines:3+
CSM:3+
Necrons: 3+
Inquisition: 3+
SoB: 3+

So I count 6 armies with BS4 on thier basic troop, and 4 with BS3. Looks like 3+ is the majority.

I have allready got myself a small squad of them. I am going to get more when they come out on their own. Cause three drones and a spotter is not enough. Maybe one more squad should do it.
