Storm shrugged.
"It doesn't matter if you are pirate or not; we are just very good liars. Some through more descreet ways then others."
She glanced at Kibo.
"Anyway, why not try something else, such as ale? Or mead? Heck, hyippocras, even, might keep you from Botch's wrath."

"I suddenly feel that nothing can be bad again," Ranu said dreamily, mentally extending his will onto the fly, and using it to divebomb Storm. The fly would race to her forhead and dodge her hands, before moving onto Kibo.

Storm eyed Ranu.
"Keep that up and even your feelings won't be able to protect you."
She proffered her nearly empty bottle of Dragon Ale to Jay.
"Drink the rest, and you'll be fine."

Jay raised the bottle, as if holding an invisible toast, then quickly downed the rest of the drink. After removing the bottle from her lips, she coughed. "That was...interesting," She put a hand to her chest and coughed again.
Suddenly, her stomach growled loudly. "Oh, bugger," she muttered under her breath. Pain like an arrow shot through her body. That was the signal that she needed to leave...fast!
"Thanks for the drink, Storm," Jay said as quickly as she could. " Now, if you'll excuse me for a moment..." With that, she darted out into the street, raced behind a corner of a building, and threw up.
"Curse my blasted allergies," she said, opening her mouth to the sky to wash up. It was still raining, obviously.
Suddenly, something grabbed her by the collar of her shirt. "YIPE!" Jay squeaked as she was pulled into an alley.

A hand suddenly clasped around Jay's oath-screaming mouth. "Hush, young Sparrow!" said a mysterious voice.
The hand was moved, and Jay saw her attacker. "...Tia Dalma?"
"Ye need some help," the mystic said.
"I'll say," Jay started, "I'm sick of being the most pathetic at everything except sharpshooting and escaping!"
"Be quiet, young one," Tia Dalma commanded. Jay immediately shut her mouth. "I meant, it seems that you have no special powers,"
"Yeeees...." Jay said slowly. "Your point?"
Tia Dalma simply put a hand on Jay's tatoo (of a sparrow in flight over water on her wrist) and chanted softly. Jay couldn't make out many words. except "Fire, Air, Water, Earth"
She felt a surge of energy flow into her. Tia Dalma let go of her wrist. "Now, Jamacia,"--Jay's eyebrow twitched at hearing her full name--"point a finger at that wall,"
Jay did so...and a fireball erupted from her finger, exploding on the wall and leaving a black mark. "By Davy Jones' Locker......!!!!"

Kibo's pyromancer marking on his arm twitches, sending a tingling sensation down his arm.
Kibo: Great, another Pyromancer...
He sighs heavily, and bangs his head on the table repeatedly.
Kibo: Isn't there anyone who'd like to learn some Necromancy?!

Jay thanked Tia Dalma for her gift, then walked casually back inside the tavern as though nothing had happened. She tucked her sleeve over her tatoo, which was glowing faintly.

"Aw, now I'm soaked again..." Jay mumbled to herself. Without thinking, she put her fists togeter. The rain water blew off, as though someone had set a giant paper fan behind her."By the Code...!!!" she swore quietly.
"Your powers will only last so long as you are not behind bars," The voice of Tia Dalma flew into Jay's mind.
"Right!" Jay thoght back, "And thanks again!!"

Ranu's fly pulled away and settled on his shoulder. Looking at the fly, Ranu waved it away as the flies natural instincts took back over.
