Merc shrugs. "I hear that the lights down by the waterfront are really pretty at this time of night..." he sort of suggests. He hopes that Seth won't be upset for a romantic suggestion like that.

"Sounds nice." Sethos replies. The waitress comes back with Mercutio's credit card and receit, and the tennis player gets up to leave.

Merc takes the card and receipt and puts them back into his bag. He stands afterwards, and follows Seth out of the restaurant.

"Do you know what way to the waterfront?" Sethos asks once they're outside. He turns towards the catboy he's talking to only to get a reminder of what Mercutio is wearing (or not wearing as the case may well be) and he blushes. He looks at some of the nearby store fronts.

"I think so..." says MErc, taking the lead and walking on front of Seth. He leads them around a few corners and through a few streets and they get to the waterfront.

Having a heck of a time trying to follow the cat boy without particularly LOOKING at him, Sethos takes advantage of his height to focus his gazejust above the catboy's head. He winds up being unintentionally very quiet.

Merc notices Seth being quiet again and sighs. He didn't know what to do about the lack of converstation. Sethos had practically ordered him not to change, but Merc knew that his clothing was what was creating the gap between the two of them. He slows down a bit, so that he's not so much ahead as beside and takes Seth by the hand.

Sethos doesn't mind at all, especially since it means he can look at the store fronts instead of trying to focus very directly like he had been before. He doesn't really find any of interest. He feels a lot more comfortable though, even though he can't really think of anything to say.

Merc looks around at all the pretty lights and their reflection off the water. He feels like the silence is no longer uncomfortable so is content to let it remain silent. His hand is still in Seth's and he's a little bit confused as to why Seth hasn't let go yet...

Sethos sits down on some grass, not really even remembering in a concious way that his hand is in Mercutio's, "They really are pretty."

Mercutio sits himself down beside Seth and leans into him a bit. He begins purring, unconciously and doesn't even realize it. He looks out over the water and hears the gentle waves lapping at the sand. "Yes..." He says softly. "I just wish water wasn't so icky."

Sethos chuckles, both at the adroable purring noise the catboy is emitting and at his obsession with hating water, "Well, I like water, and I think it looks pretty too."

Merc shrugs. "I'm a cat. I'm not supposed to like water. Even though I don't quite fit in with Humans, I do fit in with my kind, and we hate water." he says decisively. He leans into Seth further, laying his head against Seth's muscular upper arm.

"Some cats like water... but I guess those are the weirdo outcasts? Well, I don't fit in with cat people then, since I love water. Swimming and showering and soaking and stuff. It's all good," Sethos tries to keep sounding normal, except he's actually kind of ranting stupidly. He's also blushing a little, since Mercutio feels very good leaning against him like that.

"There are some cat people that like water, just not my species. It's like how some humans don't sunburn because of their skin types, and others turn bright red. If my species goes into the water too much, our fur falls out." he says. "And I personally like to keep my fur on." Again, Merc does something totally unconcious, He rubs his head against Seth's arm and starts purring again.
