Pokemon Limits for Classes. Good enough or should the number be higher?
It's good how it is, I don't really use that many Pokemon.
It needs to be a bit higher but you're on the right track.

Maddy took a Pokeball from her belt and released her Pikachu, the little mouse landing on the docks and jumping up and down excitedly, blue sparks dancing off of his red cheeks. The sailor Maddy had confronted released a Goldeen, the fish landing in the water over the side of the wharf.
"Thunderbolt!"
Pikachu's body glowed with blue electricity as it released a powerful current of sparks. The sparks leaped across the dock and into the water after the Goldeen. Once they hit the ocean the sparks "veined" across the water, flashing white and blue and shocking Goldeen. The fish went belly up.
The sailor uttered a string of curses and returned his Goldeen, releasing a Corphish in it's place.
"Volt Tackle!"
Pikachu's body shone brightly as it sparked dangerously with electricity. The lightning mouse ran across the deck at full speed. Corphish hastily side-stepped the attack and retaliated with Night Slask, slashing Pikachu hard across the back before the Pokemon could turn around. The damage was critical, but Pikachu still had some fight left.
"Thunderbolt!"
Another powerful current of electricity was released and Corphish was OHKO'd like the previous foe.

Maddy recalled Pikachu and turned to face another sailor. By now, the fighting had attracted a lot of attention and sailors were pouring from every ship to fight off Team Aqua. Maddy could only hope they had enough people to pull this off.

The opponent in front of her released a Poliwag. Maddy released her Riolu.
"Thunder Punch!"
Sparks leapt from the little blue Pokemon's fist as it punched Poliwag hard. The tadpole was knocked out instantly.
The next Pokemon sent out was a Wingull.
Maddy and Riolu exchanged looks that said "Really?!".
"You know what to do."
Riolu nodded and rushed forward, his fist sparking once again. He leapt into the air and punched Wingull in the face, knocking it out and sending it flying into the water. Who needed STAB when you had a x4 type advantage?

Maddy recalled her Pokemon and waited for the others to finish up.

Thorn got off the boat, but in the confusion was separate from Rosie as they accosted the baffled sailors. He sighed irritably, ready to get this over with. He found the nearest sailor and approached him, Pokeball raised. "Fight. Now." HIs voice was rather straightforward and serious as he glared at the slightly older man.

He shrugged, and called out a Tentacool, which wiggled it's pendulous appendages in a manner most foul.

Thorn sighed, and release Lulu, his perpetually bouncing Spoink. She giggled, leering closer and closer to to the creature, which leered right on back. Ignoring it, he ordered, "Extrasensory!"

"Poison Sting!"

Lulu shone pink and purple, sending a brilliant blast of energy at her opponent and engulfing him completely. The Tentacool was sent into violent convulsions, and the super-effective move was all that was needed as he fainted backwards, twitching slightly as blood dripped out his eye. He didn't even get a chance to attack! The Spoink bounced triumphantly, giggling.

The red-haired male gave another sigh, not even bothering to question why. It seemed this was the only Pokemon his opponent had... or maybe he'd scared the sailor off, for he ran away. He shrugged, looking for his next opponent, when he barely dodged a fist. An older sailor glared at him, clearly furious by the sudden assault of Aqua. A Slowpoke sat at his side... glaaaaaaring. Well, if it was a fight the man wanted... Thorn cocked his head to the side and cracked his knuckles. "Lulu. Return." The pig disappeared, and was replaced by a violent Sneasel. "Robin. Pursuit."

"Water Gun!"

Hissing eagerly, the Sneasel rushed forward, striking out with sharp claws. One... two... three... four! He dug into the soft pink flesh, relishing in the blood that spurt forth. The Slowpoke's burst of water seemed unimpressive by comparison.

The sailor narrowed his eyes. "Disable!"

Thorn shrugged. "Feint Attack."

The Slowpoke blinked very slowly, and the Sneasel would realize he'd forgotten his attack. Fortunately, he had even more brutal options! He sliced forward, dodging right and punching left. The pink lump didn't have a chance against Robin, and collapsed.

The older sailor growled, glaring darkly. "Squirtle!" His last Pokemon revealed, the turtle bobbed up and down curiously.

Deciding the youth probably didn't need to be exposed to the cackling Sneasel, Thorn recalled Robin, and sent out Song. "Bite!"

"Bite!"

Well, that was a hell of a thing. Both Pokemon rushed at each other, teeth bared. Song got their first, and bit down hard on the soft spot of a turtle... it's head. As it does tend to be hard to think when there's a teeth in your eye, the Squirtle flinched, unable to attack.

"Gr... Water Gun!"

"Bite."

The Squirtle sat back down, and sent a burst of water right at Song, hitting first this time. It hit square on, but it didn't phase the Zubat. Instead, he merely swooped down, and use Bite once more! This time, it properly finished the Squirtle.

The grizzly sailor grumbled, but left without a fuss. Thorn sighed, and went to wait with the others.

Rosie skipped off the boat, but before she could do anything, a sailor popped up, leering at her! She glared at his as stared. Time for a battle! "Vale!" she commanded, sending out her Poochyena. The sailor called out a Carvanha, which flopped on the deck as a fish often does! "Ice Fang!" Rosie grinned as she saw the creature. "Play Rough!" The fish wiggled off the ground, and rushed at the dark dog, and sunk his frozen teeth into the furry hide. Vale cried out, but it was nothing he couldn't handle. He wriggled out of the jaw's cold grip, and bounced up and down on the fish in a manner both playful and violent. The Carvanha fainted instantly thanks to the super effective attack... but it drained Vale, making him stumble backwards in pain. He wouldn't last another battle!

Thankfully, this sailor was done for, but the next one up looked just as fierce. Out came a Wingull, which squawked happily. Not waiting for any orders, and hoping to finish things quickly, she shrugged Lily off her shoulder. The Emolga fluttered up, grinning. "Thundershock!" she commanded. The 4x weakness knocked him down quickly and efficiently. She pounded her fist in the air, done!

Cody stepped off the boat, surprised by Maddy's sudden command.
"Uhm... Why?" he asked himself, shaking his head. He wasn't sure what the motive was for such an attack, but he also wasn't one to speak out of turn when it came to orders like this. The boy swapped the pokeball in his hand for one on his belt, quickly tossing it into the air as the sailor sent out his first pokemon - a Wailmer. Lileep appeared before Cody, ready to fight, starting off by throwing its roots deep into the ground. Wailmer responded by bouncing high into the air, maintining its altitude while Lileep started charging its power for a waiting attack. Wailmer adjusted its position in the air as it descended upon its target, landing with a bang on top of the Grass Type and creating a small crater in the earth. Wailmer hopped off and swiftly received a powerful blast of solar energy from Lileep's petals, sending it flying and K.O.ing the large whale pokemon.

Lileep glowed as it sucked energy from the earth, restoring some of its energy and will to fight. The sailor returned his fainted pokemon and growled as he tossed another ball into the air, sending out a Wingull. The bird pokemon cawed, taking off into the sky. Wingull ascended quickly, performing an inward flip, and quickly descending, building momentum as it slashed at Lileep with razor sharp wings. Lileep took the hit and withered a little, restoring a bit more of its power as it sucked more life from the ground. It ingrained its roots a bit more, lifting large chunks of rock from the ground and tossing them in Wingull's direction. The pokemon tried to evade, but eventually was hit by one of the larger chunks, sending it spiraling to the ground. The poor bird picked itself up and stumbled into the sky, shooting bursts of water at Lileep that seemed to just bounce off. Lileep glowed once more, regaining even more lost health. With a swift whip of Lileep's ingrained roots, the Grass Type brought the smack down on Wingull, digging its already practically defeated body into the ground, knocking it out. The sailor grunted and took off, but was quickly replaced with another.

The new sailor grunted and growled, also a silent antagonist, and tossed a pokeball into the air.
"This ends now," Cody smiled, returning Lileep and tossing another ball into the battlefield. Fraxure appeared in a flash of light, along with an Oshawott, who swiftly boosted itself toward the dragon, supported by a jet of water. The small otter packed a punch, knocking Fraxure off its feet, but it rolled out of the fall, blasting a large ball of blue fire at Oshawott. The Water Type utilized the speed of the jet of water to blast itself out of the way, hitting Fraxure once more. The dragon pokemon roared, charging itself at Oshawott with its claws protracted, slashing at the small otter with a fierce look on its face. The slash landed across the foe's face, hitting an obviously critical spot. The Oshawott bounced backwards, landing itself in the water. It raised itself from the the crashing waves, and raised its arms in the air, summoning a large wave that quickly crashed down over the beach, swallowing Fraxure in the wet sand. The pokemon dug itself underneath the water type, blasting out of the water behind it and burying its face into the ground.

Yamato was surrounded by 2 sailors. Each of them already held a Pokéball in their hands.
"We don't know who you are, but you have made a big mistake if you are trying to invade this port" one of them said
They sent out their Pokémon, which were a Krabby and a Buizel. Yamato had no other choice. He also sent out Po and Dora.
"Krabby, use Bubble on that Aron"
"Buizel, Aqua Jet on Pidgey"
From the crab's pincers, bubbles came out and flew at the Aron, while Buizel's body was covered by water and it shot itself at the bird. The attack hit both of them, but they weren't damaged much.
"You guys ok?" the boy asked, and received a nodded from his Pokémon " Time for payback. Po, use Ariel Ace on that Buizel while Dora use Headbutt on Krabby"
The Pidgey's beak glowed brighter, then charged at the orange weasel, who was still using Aqua Jet. The attacks hit each other, made a great impact on both Pokémon. Both Pokémon were not in a good situation. However, Po had been given a Sitrus Berry from before, so he ate it and regained some of his health. Meanwhile, Dora slammed his head at the Krabby, knocking it down to the ground. Both Pokémon on the opponents' side was struggling to move, so Yamato took this chance and commanded his Pokémon.
"Po, finished the Buizel with Quick Attack. Dora, use Metal Claw"
The bird swiftly moved and soon, it hit the Buizel on its chest with his beak, making it fainted. The same thing happened after Dora's claws had hit at the crab's shell.
The sailor was so scared that they returned their Pokémon and ran away. Yamato then tried to catch up with his comrades.

As everyone finished their battles, Maddy noticed that the docks were fairly empty. She knew it wouldn't remain that way for long, however. Most of the ships had fled the harbor in fear of getting sacked. With the docks clear, the submarine could be seen at the end farthest from them.

Maddy turned to her companions and pointed towards a large building along the docks.
"That's the maintenance bay. They keep spare parts for the boats and various seafaring equipment in there. Along with fuel."
She nodded towards the submarine and then started towards the building.
"That thing is definitely empty so no one can just sail away with it. We'll have to sneak into the maintenance bay and get some fuel."

Everyone split up and find a secret way into the building. If you use a Pokemon that hasn't battled yet to assist in gaining access to the building, it will gain it's evo point for this RP. Regroup in the fuel storage area of the maintenance bay (is that even a thing?). The building is empty, at the moment.

Cody popped Darumaka's ball from the clip on his belt, looking to the building for answers. "How do we get in there...?" he asked the fire type, starting to make his way around the east side. Upon further investigation, he found no vents, no windows, and no way to get in sneakily or without being noticed. With no other options, Cody nodded to Darumaka, the pokemon utilizing the power of its charcoal to ignite itself brighter than ever before. It took a few steps back, setting itself up in a sprinter's stance, and charging head first into the building. Darumaka contacted with the building, blasting a hole in the wall big enough for Cody to squeeze himself through. "Good job," the boy nodded to his pokemon, returning it as he made his way into the building.

Maddy made her way around to the right side of the building. As she walked along, near the back of the building she spotted a vent. It was just a few feet over her head. An easy jump to make if it was an opening, but the vent grate would get in her way.
She picked a Pokeball from her belt and released Froakie.
"Use Ice Beam on that grate, will ya?"
Froakie nodded his little head and shot a beam of ice at the grate. Frost covered the metal sheet.
"Again."
More ice was added and the metal began to creak as it started to contract from the cold.
"And again."
One last Ice Beam and the metal grate was steaming from the cold.
"The metal on that should be nice and brittle by now. Use Rock Smash and see if you can shatter it."
With another nod, Froakie leapt up at the grate and pounded on it with his little fist. A few pieces fell off and made a small hole where it impacted, but Maddy wasn't able to get through just yet.
"Again."
Froakie hit the grate again, widening the hole some more.
"Once more."
One more Rock Smash and the rest of the grate shattered and fell away.
"Good work, little guy."
Maddy returned her companion and backed away from the building a few feet. She then ran towards ir, jumped and vaulted off the wall, and grabbed the edge of the vent with her bare hands. She didn't have the best grip, but she managed to pull herself into the vent all the same.

Once inside, she crawled along the vent, looking down into rooms as she passed along them. Eventually, she found one filled with large metal barrels.
"Most definitely fuel."
She kicked the grate out of her way and jumped down after it as it crashed to the floor. She waited for the others.

Yamato thought something: "The bay is near the water edge, so maybe..."
He sent out his Wani. The Pokémon was happy to see him that he jumped in joy.
"Wani, can you dive into the water and find out if there is a secret passage under the water?"
He nodded, then jumped into the water. He swam near the wall of the building, until he found some kind of hole that connected inside the building. The Totodile then returned to the surface, telling Yamato. The Aquan held his breath, then jumped into the water and followed Wani. After he had entered the building, he returned his Pokémon and looked around. All he saw were machines every kinds.
"I wonder what this room is" he asked himself

Oooo, the stealth part of the mission! Rosie bounced, her hair hidden in a tightly curled braid. Tilting her head, she thought carefully... how to get in, how to get in... curious, she released her Growlithe. Cinna bounced by he heels, excited, but she held a finger to her lips, silencing him gently. They walked their way along the perimeter, eyes looking over the building analytically. Everything was made of metal, and she wasn't sure she could find something... aha! There was a door... made of wood! The most burn-able thing in the world! And she had something very good a burning. Kneeling down, she looked Cinna straight on. "Okay," she whispered intensely. "I just need you to burn the door... nothing huge. A controlled blaze, all right?" The Growlithe nodded obediently, and promptly burst into a dull red flame. He leaned against the door, wearing it slowly but surely down until there was a hole big enough for a tiny girl and her dog to crawl through. And that she did, on her hands and knees. Thus in, she gave a victory dance, and she and Cinna ran off.

Thorn wasn't exactly pleased with the order to split up away from Rosie, especially since he'd just lost sight of her, but this wasn't the time to argue with orders. Besides, Rosie was a grown girl, she'd be okay. Instead, he inclined his head to Maddy, and split away from the group. Hmm, how to get into the building... he walked along the harbor, looking curiously. It seemed there was a water drainage pipe on the eastern side... logical enough, given the ammount of water that got into those kinds of places. It emptied into the water, but Thorn was more interested in how it could let him in. He released Selkie into the water, and crouched down. "Think we can fit through there?" he asked.

The Feebas nodded, examining the situation with careful eyes and finding it fitting.

Taking a deep breath, Thorn jumped into the water. It was freezing, but he got over it, and grabbed onto his Pokemon. Using Selkie as a guide, the two swam up the pipe. It wasn't the easiest thing-- Thorn had to keep his head underwater for more than he'd like, and he wasn't sure this was all water-- but after several minutes of a bizarre combination of swimming and crawling, they found themselves in a tank tall enough for Thorn to stand up in. He shook himself off, and gave Selkie and affectionate pat on the head. The Feebas recalled, he looked around... ah, a ladder! He climbed up, finding a trapdoor... but it was made of wood, and Thorn had punched his way through harder things. He crawled up into the room, realizing he seemed to be in some kind of closest. Fortunately, the door wasn't locked, so he didn't need to get any more splintered in his hands. Instead, he exited, found a posted on the wall (helpful!) and made his way to the fuel storage area.

As everyone regrouped in the fuel room, Maddy smiled with satisfaction.
"I guess everyone carry or roll a barrel of fuel out to the docks. We'll have to go out through the main door."
Maddy grabbed a nearby barrel and tipped it onto it's side so she could roll it. She was sure some reinforcements had arrived by now to protect the submarine.
PostPosted: Sun Jan 19, 2014 8:49 pm

Thorn nodded at Maddy's order, and quickly made his way to a barrel. It wasn't too hard for him to carry, despite it's weight. Getting an idea, he called out Venus, his lovely and most dramatic of Pokemon. After a bit of arguing (in a silent manner, obviously), he managed to convince her to pick up a barrel of her own. Her small size belied an impressive strength. The two of them didn't struggle to much, and slowly made there way to the main door.
