She walked for a while but didn't seem to have any luck today, so when she started to feel like an egg in a frying pan she hurried back to the safety and coolness of her room.

So the previous day ultimately had given Kim nothing to brag about. Sure she got a bar of soap and a pretty shell but was that really... brag worthy? NO, not it was not.
She frowned a little and walked up and down the beach, her brows drawn in a little frown of curiousity and anticipation. Others were telling her there were indeed things to find in the sand if she kept looking. Well there was chance so she was back again. She was going to find this all just a waste of time she knew it. She paced the sands looking around her eyes on the ground. For a tine she just paced up and down, amused that she could now see more foot prints so it was clear there are others who were looking as well. She nodded her head a little. If there were other people there had to be a chance, how many others were going to walk a barren stretch of sand for no reason at all?
Answer, a lot of bored people.

IT looked like something was in the sand. Kim frowned a little and knelt down digging a bit hoping this was really something she could use. She dug her fingers in the sand, a bit more. What had she seen? There was nothing there but a small broken shell, that was useless.
She got up and walked a bit more, stopping from time to time to look at things that sparkled or stood out. Nothing at all was being revealed. One more time she had spent part of her day out here and found nothing to make up for it.
This time she didn't even find soap or a pretty shell, just sand sand and more sand. Actually she found more sand than she wanted and she would be spending hours of her time trying to clean the grains out of places they had no business being. This was so annoying. At least she was getting sun though... right?

Oliver was down at the beach, happy to see the sunny weather. It still felt ridiculously warm for October, especially when he recalled the autumn leaves and the frost on the grass in the mornings while he had grown up. The air here was rarely cold enough to see his own breath, or smell like snow.
Still, for a minute he could pretend it was just a tropical paradise instead of an island surrounded by monstrous titans and constantly under threat of destruction from one source or another.
Spotting something in the sand, he wandered closer for a look.

When he got closer he thought perhaps it was some creature washed up on shore, but it looked like... a tree branch. A slowly writhing tree branch.
Oliver veered away, knowing he was certainly not equipped to safely handle strange things on the beach.

Fred liked taking a walk along the beach, and honestly it was wild to even live in a place which had a beach at all. He felt kind of like royalty.

Knowing what his latest mission was going to be, Terry had to get creative and look for whatever raw materials he could get his hands on. He was desperate, which was probably why he ended up at the beach. And would walk away empty handed (go figure).
Joy
Joy wasn't as concerned about finding anything as much as she was just enjoying the beach. Her schedule limited how often she could come visit and just comb for whatever sort of knickknacks that washed ashore.
