Kila was moving instantly, turning and casting onto spell. A wall of trees grew and twisted into a wall of stubby trees between the wolves and the fae.
"GO! Hurry, I will hold them off!" she yells, a blast of power sending her flying into her own barrier.

Tatiana was glowing with her rage and the temperature dropped in a matter of seconds. It went from cold to everything covered in ice.
"HOW DARE YOU?! YOU INSOLENT GIRL!!!" she shrieked.

Devon handed Lark to Fred. "I can't hold her and run. He was discernibly panting. It was reaching his limit.
He howled, signaling they retreat.

Fredrick took Lark gently in his clawed hand, begin extremely careful with her knowing perfectly well that if he so much as scratched her Devon would murder him so he did as was asked and held on to her and began to run into the storm holding on to his alpha female. He couldn't help but look back toward Kila who was fighting her own mother right now, Fred didn't know what to think. "Are you sure, you don't need help." he asked Devon

Devonn nodded as she moved. We lost at least five and a few more are worse than me. I will survive. he grunted. They continued to moved going back to where they came. As they got closer a small group of very abused people sat huddled there....

Tatiana took her rage out at the girl, mercilessly throwing out magic, heedless if she hit her own as well. Kila was doing her best to dodge and counteract her the queen's spells, but she was taking a beating.
With ever hit she made her way to the exit, hoping to make her escape.
As she turned she fell down. She turned, and saw ice crawling up her legs.
"I'm afraid you aren't going anywhere, darling." Tatiana said, cruelly.

Lark was still unconscious as she was carried toward the place where the portal was supposed to be. The only sign of life she showed was calling Devon's name softly and her breathing.

Fredrick handed Lark off to Devon when he noticed that Kila wasn't right behind him he didn't know what possessed him but he felt that he had to go back and get her. Besides they needed someone to open the portal. "Devon I think you can take it from here, I have to go get Kila." he told his friend transforming and running back the way they came as fast a he could. grabbing on to the queen's arm with out stopping knocking them both over and tumbling into the snow causing the spell on Kila's legs to be broken.?

"Is that really her, the girl of the wolves?" A strange woman with strawberry brown eyes asked Devon once he was alone and holding a girl who looked familiar and next to her was a man who shared the same features as the girl

Kila felt the power that was causing the ice to creep up her body disappear. With a flick of her wrist she dispelled the now normal ice and scrambled to get up. She was almost at her limit. Tatiana was too much to hold off and she got the feeling she was holding back only to make her squirm.
Kila looked back to see the distraction that set her free. It was the Beta Fredrick. Quickly she run helping him to his paws. She put out on last spell, sending flakes of snow flying into the air in a frenzy. It made it hard for anyone to see them.
"We have to run!" she hissed, already going that way.

Tatiana pushed herself up from the snow. What insolent mongrel dared to touch her? She looked around, but snow was in the way. She waved a hand, forcing a gust to dissipate it.

Devon looked down at the people. She was panting heavily now, on his knees. Scoot took Lark from him and two other hovered by him protectively.
"Yes. That is her." he answered them bluntly.

Fredrick was panting heavily at this point but he got up on his feet quickly and began to run along side her as they made there escape he was surprised to find that Kila could keep up with his long loping strides only Devon could do that and if Fredrick tried he could more than likely make Devon eat his dust on a good day.

The woman was clearly frightened of these creatures even though they had helped them so the man next to her spoke. "Please tell us, what is her name her full name please."

Kila was panting as well, her legs burning with the rate they were running. She could keep this up for long. Luckily they did not have to go far, she could already see a group through the trees.
A horn sounded behind them.

Tatiana stood, a storm gather above her. So they wanted to run like prey did they. She raise her hands and her servants immediately came to her.
"Hunt them down. Every last one. They can not get away." she said.
They sounded the horn as they obeyed her command.

Devon's hackles raised. "Why do you need to know?" he growled. The fae could have corrupted these people for all he knew.
His attention was turned elsewhere at the sound of a horn and someone approaching.

The couple shank back when the wolf creature growled at them, frightened they were not sure if they could trust them or not but what choice did they have and the girl one of them held looked like the little girl that they had left behind all those long years ago.

Fredrick howled a signal as he saw his pack and the other prisoners clustered around the area where the portal should be. "Quick, Kila we need to make a portal, I think she sent her army after us." Fredrick told her as he listened he could here ghoulish shrieking and laughter coming closer in the storm that had just intensified.

Lark began to stir in Scotts arms waking up freezing cold, without paying attention she moved closer to the fur that was holding her believing it was Devon only looking up when she felt the furry mass stiffened. "Scott? Where's Devon and why are you holding me."

Kila looked around her and the wounded and tired, panting and shaking from exertion. "I don't think I have enough powerful that, Fredrick. I'm out. Do you know how much power it take to open up a portal. I can't do it without some kind of help." she said with dismay.

Devon looked over at Lark. "I'm fine. We're almost out of here. Just stay still." he said. He looked at Kila as she said she didn't think they could get out. There had to be some way something they could do.
Something glinted and caught his eye. The amulet around Lark's neck.
"Medallion." he said pointing.

Kila looked and flinched. "I can't, not without permission from it's user...." Her gaze turned to Lark as she stepped toward her. "May I?"

Lark looked at the strange woman she looked like one of them those fairies she was so taken by surprised by her appearance that her mind went blank with fear for a moment and she couldn't say anything or move like a deer in head light she snapped herself out of it by shaking her head which caused a headache the likes of which she never had erupted and she had to hold her head in pain, despite what Devon told her about not moving. "As long as you use it to get us out of here." She spoke slowly.

Kila's stomach rose to her throat as the girl started shaking her head. She thought she would refuse. Then she changed her mind and Kila nearly sagged to the ground in relief. She latched on to the amulet immediately. Not taking it off, but clutching it in her right hand. She pointed the other at the air started to shimmer.
Such a blast of power rang through her, ripping what spell and power see had left as the burning power of the amulet blazed through her. The portal opened, clear and strong and she ripped her hand away from the jewel. Her hand burned.
Now she actually was powerless and all disguise was gone. Her pointed ears were plain as day as were her angular facial features. She shook visibly.
"Let's go." she wheezed.

Devon got to his feet, blood spurting from his wound into the snow. "Go!" he growled at the prisoners. His wolf was more in control right now and he was not about to be polite.
He looked back at his wolves. "Through the portal, quickly." With the grunt he walked into it, two wolves coming to support him, he snarled at them but did not resist. The portal started to shrink as they made their way through.

Lark looked at Devon worriedly only now just seeing the hunk of metal in his chest the wound bleeding. "Devon your hurt, what happened to you!" She cried trying to touch him to reassure herself that it was really him and not a dream once they were though the portal. She was still giddy on the rush of magic that went through her it temporarily dispelling her soreness for a moment, before the magic left her system the amulet glowed again and a beam of light shot out and closed the portal sealing it just as Tatiana and her servants caught up to them.

Devon grabbed the hunk of metal and pulled it out, making him snarl in pain. He held his hand to stop so much blood from gushing out. He felt pressure on the wound in his back and glanced back to see Sheryl. He nodded.
"I'll be fine Lark, don't worry about me at the moment." he rasped. "He looked at the other packs who were looking a little eager to him. "Scott, stay close to me and keep her safe. Sheryl.... Fredrick.... you know... what to do." he said. He really didn't have the strength for more talking.
His pack formed around him, some assisting and others watching for what could become an attacker rather quickly. If the other Alphas wanted to, they could try to usurp position as leader.
They were heading to a old safe house out here in the forest.

Kila stayed close, trying to make herself look confident and not prey as she followed along. A lot of wolves were wounded and needed treatment badly. She didn't think in any in-fighting would start, but she understood the King's precaution.

Lark flinched as she watched as Devon pulled out the hunk of sword that was embedded in his chest, she let out a small whimper at the site of his blood. Lark couldn't help but worry about him, he was losing a lot of blood and it was all her fault. She put him in a situation were he could either bleed to death or he could be challenged. Lark cried as she was carried by Scott into the safe house which seemed more like an underground cave.

Fredrick brought up the rear of the pack walking next to Kila searching for any forms of aggression from the wolves entering the safe house. "So a child of hers, hmm?" He asked without anything better to say

The couple that had asked after Lark came into the place last with the other humans because they had no where else to go and they where almost drawn toward the girl in the thick of the wolves.
