Bast pulled out a notebook, flipped through it, and then tapped a seal on a certain page. Her Kage's hat popped into her hands in a puff of smoke, and she donned it with practiced grace.
"We'll need to stop at the border, lest they think this is an invasion," she advised as the group moved out. "I can get the attention of a border patrol agent there."
She broke into a run behind Ayame, following her lead out of the Village. This deception would hopefully go unnoticed for the length of the mission, though at this point, it wouldn't be too much of a problem either way.

Knives came running towards the gate and and caught a glimpse of the group just leaving out of his own running range. 'Damn, just missed them. And Kaori went with them, double damn.' He cursed himself for getting wrapped up (read gaia being stupid about notifications) in his own thoughts and not having time to truly tell Kaori what he wanted to tell her. Oh well probably better that he wait at the crevice rather than go back into the village. It was crowded there, and he wanted some time away from everything and most everyone.

XXXXX His head was thumping with Dehydration as he approached a large crevice in the cliff face. Haituro looked down the crevice and couldn't really see anything beyond the large crack in the cliff wall. He stood there awaiting to be greeted, as walking up to a hidden village entrance was not the norm for the area he supposed. Haituro drained the rest of his canteen as he waited for someone to come inquire into who the hell he was and why the hell he was there.

Knives noticed the man, probably only about half hydrated at this point, the Suna Desert was no friend to almost any. Figured he was the only one around as he hopped his way down to where the guards had just starting questioning the new comer.
"Whoa boys, I can take it from here but you can stay if you're so afraid." he joked with them, in his usual almost a** kind of way.
"Well hello, and I hesitate to call you friend. So what brings you this far into the desert and what I'm assuming at this point is far from home?" Knives said standing just slightly taller than the man, but his stature did most of the rest of the talking.
'Can I kill him? Seriously he looks delicious.' 'No, not just yet. Soon perhaps, there is something off about him though I'll give you that much.

XXXXX Haituro's head lifted as the guards noticed him and jumped down immediately questioning him. He placed a hand to his head and tried with all his might to listen to the questions being launched at him, but this headache was almost unbearable. "Water..." was all he could manage to say before yet another shinobi jumped down to greet him. He listened to the mans soliloquy before attempting a response but his mouth and throat were so dry all that came out was a croak. He licked his lips and tried again. "Wa.." He tottered on his feet. "Wa...ter.." He said struggling to keep his feet, he was a thick man and obviously not dressed for the desert, he was cursing his method of path choosing but he couldn't go back and change it now, all he wanted now was an ice cold glass of water.

James, only a few steps into the village from his long journey to Takumi, found it easily enough to turn around at the sound of a visitor at the gates.
James strode up easily beside Knives, and it was the simplest thing in the world for him to easily garner some water from the air and in that moment, and act of kindness born of the healer in him, James produced a Ice glass of clean and fresh water, easily a full liter of fluid, the cup literally forming in this strangers hands
James inspected the man, looking over the veins in his neck, smelling his sweat, observing the signs of his body to decode both who the man was and what his physical condition truly was like.
"The water is cold, and will lower your core temperature, but you need to drink it at a reasonable pace or it will make you ill and be a waste. Drink it slowly and enjoy it." James told him as he continued to analyze the man's health and his biorhythm.
OCC: James has a technique called "biosense" which is basically super-senses that allow him to medically observe people. James would easily through hearing, smell, and sight be able to diagnose Haituro in just a few moments, including actual dehydration, if he truly is suffering sever dehydration or another medical issue, please make it known.

XXXXX Haituro had a glass made of ice appeared in his hand as the other shinobi offered his canteen "No, thank you." Haituro looked at the glass fighting the urge to drink greedily he took a sip. His eyes rolling back slightly in his head. "So good." He took another sip. "Thank you." He looked between the two shinobi. "I came to see the Kazekage, or at least some official that would grant me entrance to sunagakure, to train to become a shinobi."

"Ah I see you're back." Knives said turning his eyes to James from behind his hidden face, He was about to say more before Haituro mentioned he came to Suna to train to be a shinobi. "Wait, you've come to Suna to be a shinobi? That's, unusual, to say the least." Knives said looking the man over. He knew James had better senses being the medic type but even to Knives there was something off about someone just coming to Suna to train.
'Kill him now. Do it now, or clearly we'll regret it.' 'Unfortunately, that's not ultimately up to me.'
"I suppose, the possibility could be made but in a manner of an outsider coming to train most likely it would require the final approval of the Kazekage. What say you?" Knives asked James "At least as far as letting him, I'm sure we could allow that for the time being huh?"

James gave knives a nod. "Final answer is going to have to come from the kage, but currently I'm acting number two in the village." He looked over the man in front of him wandering in from the desert.
"I'm going to be plain with you here, Sunagakure takes its privacy and defense very seriously, We don't trust outsiders and we sure as hell don't normally take in strays." James gave him a small smirk.
"However hiking across the desert like that takes some balls and strength. So here is the deal..."
"You are going to be allowed in under heavy supervision, you won't have a private moment for the next 5 years, you are going to be spied on, watched, monitored, and sweeped. You are going to tell us everything you own, everything you have done, and everything you know. You are going to have to tell the village who you are, and mold that file of who you are to be as extensive for us who were raised here." James gaave him a hard look.
"If you agree to full disclosure, and loyalty, upon penalty of death, death I will personally execute if needed, then You can come in and we can get it sorted, but Suna is not going to ask anything less of you."
James turned slightly to the side and held out a hand.
"Entrance to the village is your signature of acceptance and I will escort you to the academy, if you choose not to stay, then proper provisions for your journey out of the desert will be provided and you may wait here."

XXXXX The Hari seemed to mull it over for a while. Given a choice between being spied on for five years or being free. It was a little difficult. He liked his freedom, his newly found freedom. It was liberating being able to do as he pleased and when he pleased to do it. "I'll have to actually be on my way, thank you for your hospitality though. I'll keep it in mind. Knives inwardly chuckled as he pulled a boot knife and played with it in his hands, moving it from knuckle to knuckle as one might with a coin. "Well I say that about wraps it up then." he said in James's direction. Knives knew what he would do, but since James was second in command while Ayame was away he would let him see if there would be some sort of change, which he doubted.
