I am the sand that whispers under the blazing sun. Desertkit _______________________________ Desertkit padded out of the nursery and looked out at all the cats gathered around the clearing, and saw yet some more rogues, "Ugh how many more!" He mumbled angrily then turned and went back to the nursery.I am Desert.

Rat glared sullenly at the two cats carrying him, his accusing eyes saying, 'Let me die already!' Suddenly he saw a bunch of deathberries up ahead, and remembered what his father had said once before he died: "These are deathberries, kiddo. Don't eat them unless you're tired of living." 'Well, I'm certainly tired of living, so why not?' Rat thought. He readied himself to grab a berry as soon as they passed the bush.

REDFUR "It's only my anger that separates me from the rest." [Redfur stares at Rat, with an angry look, fire burned through his eyes.] " How dare you steal our food! Do you know how hard we work to catch it?!"

 Mintpaw▀▀▀▀▀▀
[Mintpaw was sprinting back to camp with a fish clamped lightly in her jaws and her fur completely soaked.
Breathing in the tantalizing scent of the fish in her mouth she fought hard not to take a big juicy bite out of it.
Slowing down so as not to drop and filth up her prey, she caught an astounding image out of the corner of her eye.]
"Stop! What in Starclan's name are you doing to this poor tom! And you stop too! You will die, I won't let any of you go until I know what going on!" she mewed huffily sitting down and clawing up the berries at the same time.
[Shaking her head in disgust she dug a tiny hole and buried them.]
What could bring a healthy, grown male tom to do this to himself? she thought shocked.
[Then she noticed that the tom was being held kit-style by Skyepaw and Foampaw.
Although Mintpaw looked fierce she felt guilty that she could use nepotism to gain power over the two younger apprentices.]
Poor tom.. to be held like that would be publicly humiliating, and to be held by apprentice she-cats? she shook her head sympathetically.
[Bringing back the fierceness to her gaze, she held her head high and glared at them all.]

[Skyepaw watched Rat try to kill himself and nodded to Mintpaw when she stopped him. Skyepaw looked at Rat and shook her head and the said to him,]
"Don't throw away your life. In time you might find that things are better then they seem."
[Skyepaw didn't like seeing cats recklessly throw their lives away, but she hadn't thought that he would try to eat death berries.]

Rat chuckled bitterly. "I have no kin and no friends, I'm starving to death, and I'm forced to steal food because I can't hunt. I highly doubt things are going to get any better anytime soon."

[She ordered.]
"This is not the time to act all high and mighty with us. And I do not have the time to tell you."
[She glared at Mintpaw, who was only a few moons her senior.]______________________________

[Mintpaw flinched in surprise at Foampaw's harsh words.
She felt her legs wobbling but she rumbled on.]
"Foampaw, have you no sympathy for this cat? I may not know what is going on but I do know that every cat has his or her rights. I will give in this time but I will not stop and see this cat harmed for doing what he is vital to sustain his own life." she hissed intensely.
[Swinging aside to let her though, Mintpaw stared at Foampaw coolly.
She reminded herself to have a talk to her mother abut this incident.]

"You act like you're the hero here. You think a cat that steals out of our mouths without regrets has the right to come and go and take what ever he wants without consequence? That's strange Mintpaw, I could have sworn you were loyal to the clan"
[She gazed at Mintpaw with such a cold stare it would have stopped a two-leg in its path.]
"Maybe when we get back you can tell Mossstar how you almost stopped us from bringing him back after she ordered the clan to go and stop him, hmm?"
[She said sarcastically, spite filling her entire body.] ______________________________

Suddenly, in a remarkable display of coincidence, Worm popped up from right under Foampaw, poking his head out just enough to lift Foampaw into the air. He blinked as he felt something heavy on his head, and he turned to Mintpaw. "Do Worm have something on Worm's head, or is it just Worm?"

Most cats would have let go of what they were holding in their mouths, Foampaw only held on tighter. There was no way she was letting Rat go.]
"Yes you piece of dung!"
[She answered to Worm.]
[She growled, then bunny kicked the side of Worm's head and jumped off of him Rat still dangling from her mouth.
[She walked off, seeing Seaclan's camp off in the distance and left Worm and Mintpaw behind.] ______________________________

Worm twitched, then suddenly snarled and leaped at Foampaw, shouting, "Nobody kicks us and gets away with it!"

[She hissed, kicking him square on the chest with both hind legs as she broke into a blinding run straight into Seaclan.]
[As she ran into Seaclan camp, she was already panting.]
"Mossstar, here is the rogue. But there's another one on the way"
[she informed her leader.] ______________________________

"No Foampaw. Please don't do this. I don't want to be your enemy I--" she began to call out as Foampaw walked away.
[The sight of the cat was too much for Mintpaw and she beagn to laugh despite the situation.
Beginning to run and her Mintpaw said out of the corner of her mouth.]"If this means anything, yeah. There was something on your head. I'm Mintpaw, but I have to go! Hope to see you soon!" she yelled back as she ran farther away.
[Galloping after Foampaw, she hissed with frustration.
Seeing the she-cat just up ahead, she yelled once more.]"I can't believe you of all cats Foampaw! Who are you! Huh?!" she called out after her, Mintpaw stopping in her tracks.
"Who are you? Because I don't know anymore.. Did someone do this to you? Please.. please tell me Foampaw. Don't shut me out." she begged her, sitting down and watching after Foampaw.
