"I understand. We could simply go outside? Anyone around here would be coming here for the Lounge so they would always go to the front entrance which is not near the area I was sent to, and there are no cameras. It may not be the best place to do formal business but it will do under my conditions and yours." Edmond pressed. He was not sure how long he had before Emily would arrive so he had to hurry things along now and judging from the security on the way here if this turned into a fight things would go poorly for Edmond.

"I'm afraid that won't do in this city." he replied. "The moment we do business outside, the likely hood of us being jumped by thieves or Batman increases tenfold. Though the Bat would more likely follow you and confront you once you were alone and away from the Lounge. No... better to do business inside." he said. Then he paused a moment in thought. "There is a room downstairs with no cameras, and out of sight from the Lounge. But I doubt you'd feel comfortable there. It's used more for settling unruly employees and guests."

"It is my understanding that this Batman has not been seen for some time but you may be right." Edmond laughed a little when he mentioned the room downstairs that would not be comfortable "Do you think I lost my eye playing with puppies? Any lack of comfort shall go unnoticed." Edmond lied, he hadn't lost an eye, Eric Monte had, but he had not. He motioned to the eye patch before returning his focus to Cobblepot's suggestion. "As long as there are no camera I think it will do."

"Very well... the room in the basement should prove to be what we both need." Cobblepot replied. "As long as you don't mind the location, and the security I bring with me, we will conduct business down there." he said, then turned to press something on the computer keyboard behind him. One button to call up extra security, the other to lock down the computer while he was away.

Edmond did not worry about what Cobblepot typed he had faith that Emily could get into the computer and download what they needed. "Alright, I am ready to go when you are." Edmond said as he opened the door for Cobblepot. The idea of extra security did not bother him because he did not feel that he would have to fight the security. So far everything seemed to be going according to plan.

"Very well then." Cobblepot said as he pressed a few more buttons on the keyboard. "As soon as I lock everything up here, we can be on our way. We'll take the back hall, of course. Still some security, but well away from the Lounge." he said. A moment after Oswald had begun to lock up his computer, Edmond received a text message on his phone. It wasn't hard to guess who it was from. Just a little message to let him know that she was here and ready to go. Hey cutie! Im back, but looks like ur not home. I'll b waiting 4 u! -Pinky Definitely not the sort of message she usually sent, but just in case anyone else picked up the phone, it should look like a girlfriend or something of that sort.

Edmond nodded to Cobblepot and then felt his phone buzz. He took it out of his pocket and looked at the message. "Alright" Edmond told Cobblepot as he typed in his reply to Emily. Locking up the office now babe. Be home soon. Edmond felt odd typing a message like this. It was simple but it just felt weird. Regardless he sent the text and then put his phone back in his pocket. "Believe me Mr. Cobblepot, if we can come to an arrangement, it will be worth the trip." Edmond assured Oswald as he waited.

Oswald nodded, then stood from his chair as the computer screen flickered, then went black. "Very well. Just follow me." he said as he began making his way towards Edmond. He motioned towards the door as he walked towards it. "My guards should be waiting for us at the end of the hall. They will be accompanying us downstairs, and within the room until the transaction is complete."

"As you wish." Edmond said, reaching the door before Oswald. He opened it and held it open so that the short man could walk through. Once he did Edmond walk through and shut it. "It really is a nice system you have here." He complimented as they walked down the hall.

"I need the best for my line of business." Cobblepot replied. Five guards stood at the end of the hall. Cobblepot motioned towards them, and one of the large men walked forward. "I need information to help my business run, and the security to keep others out of my business." he continued. The guard positioned himself in front of the doors, and kept watch there. Cobblepot led Edmond down the hall and towards the four remaining guards. Just an elevator ride downstairs, then a short walk to the room they needed.

"Yes I can see why." Edmond walked quietly for the most part as he thought about Cobblepot's set up. When they reached the elevator Edmond asked another question "So why do the who Iceberge Lounge? Isn't it a little odd to have a nightclub and run a less than legal business? Thats like a vigilante working at a law firm." Edmond smiled a little. He was a vigilante working at a law firm.

"My 'less than legal' business simply helps to suppliment the income needed for the Iceberg Lounge, as well as maintain a hand in the criminal underworld." Penguin replied as he and the four guards filed into the elevator after Edmond. "Better to know what is going on with the darker side of Gotham, than to be utterly uninformed. Better to run the Lounge, better to stay ontop of things. My Lounge is my main priority. I'm not the man I used to be, and I prefer to run a more high-class lifestyle." he replied as the elevator began to descend. One of the guards having punched the security needed to access the basement level.

Edmond listened to Cobblepot as he stepped into the elevator, an action that Edmond replicated. "Smart. Then again the same could be said about any business man who has been caught before. They are never the men they used to be. You know, with the Batman MIA, almost any criminal could move up in the world. Yet for some reason they all just continue to do what they would if he was around." The Count said response to Cobblepot's comment about high-class lifestyles. "Theoretically, what do you think happened to him?" Edmond asked. He was trying to keep a conversation going, one that would draw Coblepot's thoughts off the fact he had been lured from his office.

"Well... he hasn't been killed." Cobblepot replied. "If he had been... I would know about it. Or Gotham would... killing the Bat would be something one would shout from the rooftops here." he said. "He could be on a mission elsewhere. In which case, he'll eventually be back. If something did happen to him, then one of his little birds will likely take over the cowl in his absence. In any case... the underworld is taking his absence with caution. Anyone who is smart about it, is not going to simply try and take over Gotham right away."

"Well I wouldn't expect anyone to just yet but now is the perfect time to plant the seeds of corruption without anyone looking into it. Now would be the best time to act. Then again there is the archer... but he seems more two bit vigilante then super hero." Edmond stated before shrugging. "Well perhaps you have the right idea for this kind of work. Just something to do on the side."
