"Yes, Sir!"

A couple of the techs started tappin away at Keyboards, flicking through the video screens, aiming to track Taki.

The remaining looked around the room.

"Um, she seems to no be here, Sir," one said.

"I think he can see that," another whispered before turning to Boris, "She said she had to go and see to something but would be back later. I'm sure it's nothing, Sir."

~

Bryan rolled his eyes. "Obviously or i wouldn't be carrying you, huh?" He followed Sonia's directions and kept to the left of the corridor, following Sonia, Kai and Tala.

~

Kia smiled down at the girl. "Sure, no problem."

She looked over at the door the others had gone thorugh and frowned. She felt like she should have followed them but she had to wait here. Hopefully nothing happened, she didn't full trust Sonia yet.

~

Taki snorted. "I'm still alive aren't i?" he looked down at his left arm. "Can't say as much for that arm though," he said quietly, "i hope it doesn't stay like that for the rest of my life. I'll miss it."

Taki walked a little further down the corridor before stopping. "The camera's are here alright. You just got to know where they are, which direction their facing and their blind spots."

He nodded. "Piece of cake."
PostPosted: Fri Jun 23, 2006 6:58 am

"So, Mr Invincible", Kai asked, walking behind Taki. "Where are all of the cameras and what direction are they facing?"

His gaze softened as he looked at Taki's dead arm. "I"m sure you'll get it back." He said quietly. "Once we can get a doctor to look at it."

~

Fayina looked up at Kia's face and tried to work out why she had that expression, she knew that there was a reason and that she knew it back she couldn't find it.

"What are we doing now?" She asked instead.

~

Sonia stopped at the corner, remembering the angle that the camera was placed on. She had spent many hours memorising the camera layout down in the depths of Biovolt. Now it was just a matter of remembering this exact corridor.

"I think..." She said before trailing off and looking behind at her entourage. "Follow me."

~

"Page her." Boris ordered. "I want her here now" He looked around for an idle tech.

"You" He said, pointing to a random brunette. "Start research on sacred beasts now I want a detailed report about every one that you find and possible locations of each one." He paused for a second, leaning on a computer bench as he thought.

"Start with the one named Drigger."

~

Rei walked through the corridors of Biovolt until an all to familiar door came into view. He looked at it for a second before quietly knocking on it.

Come on Mariah- be in

Rei was met with no answer.

~

The brunette flicnched but nodded and practically dived for the nearest computer. Boris wielded a hell of a lot of control over these people.

Another had already started to page Sonia, telling her to report back immediately.

~

Tala nodded at Sonia and did as she asked. Bryan changed his grip on Brooklyn slightly, getting more comfortable before following suit as well.

~

Kia blinked, snapping at of her thoughts before looking down at the girl. "Well, lucky us get to wait around for some other people to get here. Mariah should be comming soon," she said, smiling. And if Taki knows what's good for him, he'll try and find us aswell...

~

Taki smiled slightly. "That's if i get to a doctor," he muttered rather brightly while checking the place again.

"And i know where most of the camera's are and which way they face. A few of them we're just going to have to risk it."

He looked up at the ceiling intently, running his eyes down the length of it. He smirked.

"Right then, this way for this hall," he said while crossing over to the right and walking along.
PostPosted: Sat Jun 24, 2006 5:50 am

Kai followed Taki silently, watching the dark-haired Russian's movements worriedly. He couldn't help but remember how much blood Taki had lost only a little while beforehand. It couldn't be healthy for him to be moving around.

Kia's going to kill us both when she finds out. He thought ruefully.

~

Fayina frowned. "Well that's boring." She told Kia, letting go of the brunette's hand.

She wandered over to the assembled military-types. "What're you doing?" She asked, looking up at only of them and poking him in the leg.

He looked down at the small girl and raised an eyebrow. "Same thing as Kia." He told her flatly.

Fayina pouted. "You're all boring!" She told the room in general.

~

Sonia darted around the corner, keeping to the left hand side. She hoped that had been the right angle, if not they had only been caught on tape for half a second.

A small beeping sound distracted her. She frowned for a second before recognising it and looking at the waist of her pants. Sonia swore as she saw her pager, angrily and loudly telling her to get her a** back to work.

Kai frowned as he saw Sonia's stormy face. What's wrong now? he wondered.

~

Boris nodded in satisfaction and retreated to his central chair, relaxing in it as far as he could in front of his inferiors. At least this part of his life was orderly.

~

Rei kicked Mariah's door. "Dammit!" He yelled at both the looked door and the pain in his toe. "Mariah!" He yelled ineffectively at the door.

Rei spun around and began to stalk away.

The door creaked open and Mariah poked her head around. She looked both ways, checking that there was no one there. She looked over her shoulder and motioned her head for the others to leave.

Silently the group made it's way out and towards the back of Biovolt.

~

The man in charge of watching Taki was having a lot of difficulty. One minute the dark haired russian was there and the next he was gone. The other two-toned boy did the exact same thing.

This was unusual. Was Boris sure that Taki wasn't dead and was now a ghost floating around.

This wasn't the first time something like this had happened. He rememberes watching a group of soldiers the other day disappear and reappear suddenly.

It meant only one thing. He wondered is Boris knew this. The impeccable security system had a flaw.

Blind Spots.

~

There was a chuckle from the group.

"That's our job!" one called out.

"To be boring!" another joined in.

Kia smiled down at the girl. "Quite true. It seems that it's our job to be boring." She shrugged.

"That would make a good slogan for the resistence," someone said, "Our goal is to become interesting." another chuckle from the group.

Kia rolled her eyes. "Lets work on getting out of here first, hey? You can work on being interesting later."

~

Taki stared at the corner he was aiming for, trying to ignore the throbbing headache and bits of light sparkling in front of his eyes. Must be a side effect of being dizzy.

He looked around the corner and frowned. "heh, now this corridor i wouldn't have a clue about but i know the next one down has nothing so we'll just have to risk it," he told Kai.

Sticking to the wall and walking down. If he picked the right side they might be safe. The wrong side and they were in ful view, or they could get caught going around the next corner.

What a great day Taki was having.
PostPosted: Fri Jun 30, 2006 5:34 am

Kai nodded and followed Taki down the hallway, eyes moving from the dark-haired Russian's back to scan the ceiling and walls, trying in vain to see a camera to give them some idea if they were being filmed.

Seeing nothing, Kai frowned and looked down at the ground, putting his hands in his pockets. he instinctively felt for the warmth of Dranzer's disk.

Even if they do find us, they can't do anything he reassured himself.

~

Fayina huffed and leant against the table, pouting childishly. She sat down on the floor and hugged her knees, trying to stay warm.

"It's cold here." She said quietly, looking up at no one in particular.

In a smaller voice she added. "I don't like it."

~

"I have to go." Sonia told the group at large, turning around and making sure everyone had navigated the corner correctly.

"What are we meant to do then?" Kai asked. "We don't know where to go."

Sonia sighed. "Keep on going down this corridor until you reach that red fire hose. Then swap sides, the camera angle changes. Keep on going and then there's two rooms on the side you'll be walking on at the end. Those rooms don't have any surveillance."

Kai blinked, not understanding. "Uh...huh..."

Sonia sighed and looked at Bryan, he seemed to be the brains of the outfit. "Got that?"

~

Boris pointed to the man in charge if Taki. "You. report. Now." He said, logging into the computer attached to the arm of his chair, he needed to do his own research on the sacred beasts.

Boris looked up from tapping on the keyboard. "Now" He reiterated.

~

Rei's head jolted upwards as he heard the soft sound of Mariah's door opening. He had heard it so many times before it was unmistakable.

He was unable to keep a soft growl from escaping his lips. why is she avoiding me? he wondered, turning around and peering around the corner of Mariah's corridor.

((and prepare for the really messed up post ^^))

Mariah made her way quickly and quietly to where Kia was. She hadn't bothered to check who was at her door. That would cost time. One of the group walked up to her.

"Shouldn't you have checked who was at the door?" she asked.

Mariah shook her head. "I didn't want to risk it. Who knows who was stannding there? Better to have ignored it and make our way back here," she explained and rounded the corner.

~

The man nodded slowly, still watching the screen in front of him. There was nothing. It had been like that for a while now. He looked up slowly at Boris with a puzzled look. "Ah - are you sure he's not dead and is just a ghost? Cos he keeps appearing and disappearing from the screen."

He looked back at the screen. "It's just weird," he mumbled.

~

Bryan nodded. "As clear as mud." He looked over the little group they had. "Im sure we'll handle it," he said.

Tala looked around and shrugged. "Can't bee that hard to follow what you said," he muttered.

~

Kia smiled softly. "I know," she said, "I don't like it either. But not much we can do about it. I could try find a blanket or a coat for you if you like?"

"it's a bad omen."

Kia looked up and around for the owner of the voice. It was one of the older members of the resistance. And one of the more superstition ones.

"It wasn't this cold before, it must be a bad omen."

Kia rolled her eyes and sighed. "It's not a bad omen. You think everything is a bad omen. It's just...colder that's all."

~

Taki looked around a bit before looking over his shoulder at Kai. "You know what i feel like? Tacos. I've never had tacos before but i've just had this sudden craving for them."

He turned back and stopped as he came to a corner poking his head around them. "I did read about them somewhere and they sounded good."

He raised and eyebrow as he noticed a group of people turning into the hallway further down and moving away from them. He blinked as he caught sight of pink locks of mariah at the front.

"This looks like the right way," he said, turning into the corridor and following the group, forgettung about the camera.

He silently chanted to himself as he walked a bit quicker to catch up with them. "Taco, taco, taco, taco."

~

The tech's eyebrows shot up as he watched Taki walk into a corridor, followed by Kai. He stayed on the screen for a while until he was further up the hallway and almost out of sight.

"Sir!"
PostPosted: Wed Jul 05, 2006 7:18 am

Boris's attention snapped instantly to the tech who had spoken. "What?" He demanded, using the arms of his chair to push himself into a standing position.

Boris walked over to the tech, putting a hand on the back of his chair and looking at the screen. "What do you have?"

~

Kai blinked at Taki's comment. "Are you sure blood loss isn't affecting you?" He asked, jogging to keep up with Taki's increased speed.

The bluenette looked up to see the group in front of them. He swore and grabbed Taki's uninjured shoulder, pulling him into a random doorway alcove like he had seen people do in movies.

"Use your eyes for once in your life." He hissed, looking nervously at the group ahead, hoping they hadn't spotted them. "You're so worried about camera's that you can't see people?"

~

"What's an omen?" Fayina asked, looking up at Kia from her position on the floor.

She shivered, making her entire body shake, and hugged her knees tighter.

Kisa wouldn't know what omen means the thought ran through her head, making Fayina frown, wondering why it had occurred.

And why she did know what that word meant.

~

Sonia nodded at Bryan and left the group, walking quickly and automatically avoiding the camera's. It was much easier to do so without having to explain her every step to a group who had no idea what they were doing.

What does Balcov want anyway? She wondered, irritated as she walked back into the main room where Kia, Fayina and the other resistance workers were busy being boring.

Sonia ignored them and began walking toward the door leading to the main corridor.

Kai looked at Tala and Bryan. "I hope you two remember what she said." He told them, turning and continuing to walk down the hallway, not having any idea where he was going.

Two unsurveilled rooms? Kai wondered briefly. How will that be split up?

~

Rei followed Mariah's group silently, hiding behind a corner when he saw Kai and Taki. His eyes narrowed as he saw Kai's amateur attempt at playing secret agent.

Idiot He thought, watching the bluenette. You have no idea, do you?

Bryan nodded at Kai. "Of course i remember," he said and motioned with his head, "We go that way." He started walking off in the direction that Sonia had said.

Tala shook his head. "In that case we're doomed. Doomed i tell you."

Bryan looked over his shoulder and raised an eyebrow. "Ah you right there?"

Tala held up a finger. "Wait." He stopped, held his hand above his head and shook them. "Ahhh Doom!" he said blankly.

He started walking again. "Ok, i'm right now. Lead the way mon capitaine."

Bryan rolled his eyes and made his way towards the red firehose.

~

Kia looked down at Fayina. "Well, an omen is-"

"A bad bad thing!" the hysterical man from before jumped up. "It's a sign! A meaning! An event that leads to utter chaos and destruction! The lack of heat in this place almost assures us of our failure."

Kia close her eyes. "Or it assures us or a broken heater somewhere a long the line, and i think you scaring her. Omen's are just superstition, nothing can really predict anything bad happening."

The man pointed his finger. "Well, people rising from the dead is most definately a bad sign!."

Kia nodded. "Of course, of course but i WAS NEVER DEAD!" She glared at the man, who sat down from the sudden outburst.

~

Taki stared at Kai blankly and blinked. He lifted his good hand up and bapped the other on the head.

"Idiot, of course i can see those people. That's the reason i went that way. They were with Mariah and so it would have been a good i dea to follow them."

He walked back out into the corridor to follow them again, also moving back out into the camera's line of sight. "I know what i'm doing Kai. Trust me for once will you?"

~

The tech pointed at the screen. "I have your man. Looks like he's heading for section A2"

The man frowned. "Weird. What's back there that he's looking for? That place is deserted most of the time."
PostPosted: Wed Jul 05, 2006 8:53 am

Boris frowned as he considered what the tech had said. "Exactly" He said, his eyes narrowing. "That's where they're hiding."

Boris ran a hand through his vibrant purple hair, considering his options. If he chose to attack now Kai would be there with Taki and they would have their sacred spirit.

An unbeatable force.

"How's the research on the sacred spirits going?" Boris asked, turning to the brunette tech with a scowl. He needed some way to neutralise the phoenix's power until he could show Kai the better way.

Until he could show Kai Black Dranzer.

~

Kai blinked at Taki. "The last time I trusted you you were almost killed" He reminded Taki. "The time before that you were shot. You and I don't have a great track record in the safety stakes."

He sighed and followed Taki. "You'll forgive me if I don't trust you for once." He muttered darkly.

~

Fayina shut her eyes tightly and tried to block out the angry words, the two sides of her personality warring.

Kisa was losing, badly.

Fayina looked down at her hands, having vague flashbacks of the gun behind held in them.

What? She wondered, frowning slightly and checking her hands again to make sure she wasn't holding a gun. What am I-

Fayina looked up at Kia, her eyes not seeing the brunette, instead seeing her lover and his face when he was shot.

"Taki..." She whispered, her eyes widening as her memory came back in a rush.

~

Kai sighed and allowed himself to feel a fleeting moment of fondness for Tala, making him shoot the redhead a small smile.

It was all he could allow himself. He wasn't the one Tala wanted.

I'm not even me he chastised himself harshly, scowling at the ground.

Brooklyn stirred in Bryan's arms. "Are we almost there?" He asked sleepily.

~

Sonia walked into the main corridor and changing into a jog, making her way to the main control room.

It was only about halfway there she allowed the cameras to see her.

"Nup," Bryan answered. He continued walking until they reached the red fire hose. He raised an eyebrow and looked around.

"Ah, what did she say to do when we got here?"he asked.

Tala walked past him, "Swap sides," he muttered, doing just that. Bryan blinked and followed.

"Right, i knew that."

~

Kia blinked and turned to look at Fayina, puzzled. Taki?... She walked over and knelt down in front of the girl.

"What about Taki?" She asked softly.

~

Taki shrugged and waved his hand at the other. "Ah, you don't mean that. What's going to happen? A tiger will jump out and claw me to death? Haha."

He continued to follow Mariah's group, looking up a head of them to see where they were going. They couldn't have too far to go now.

"Besided," he added, "You'll get to see your ever lovely friends again. Oh, plus that violent redhead who seems to have a deathwish for me."

~

The brunette looked up. "Um, i found somethings out about 'drigger'. It's a powerful sacred spirit that takes the form of a tiger. But unfortunately hasn't been seen for years. It says," he squinted at the screen, "It hasn't chosen it's partner? Yeah, something like that. It's one of the more powerful ones. There's a whole list of other lesser sacred spirits but i don't think you'd be interested in them though, right?"

He looked up. "And drigger's, umm, disc - container whatever you want to call it has been missing for years. Someone has it but we don't know who."
PostPosted: Thu Jul 06, 2006 4:43 am

"Find out who." Boris barked. "Knowing about Drigger isn't going to help us."

He looked up at the door of the room, impatiently. "Where is Sonia?" He asked, turning to the tech monitoring the surveillance gear. "I need her here now"

Boris closed his eyes a second, ruefully thinking of all of the sleep he could have had in the past few days. Now was the time he really couldn't afford to sleep.

~

"I wouldn't go past that in this place." Kai warned Taki, moving to walk beside the dark-haired man. He scowled at Taki's comment about Tala.

"You can't really blame him, can you?" Kai asked lightly. "After all, first impressions do last and you were the one who abducted me."

Kai's eyes darkened as he gently reached down to touch his leg where he had injured it in his escape attempt. It was almost healed and it didn't hurt anymore.

But it would scar.

~

Fayina's eyes refocused back on to Kia's face. She blinked back the instant tears that formed as she remembered Taki's face in the instant the bullet had hit.

She had never shot someone before- much less killed.

Sacha? What have I done? She wondered, slumping back on to the table she was leaning against.

~

Brooklyn sighed and wriggled in Bryan's grip, trying to get more comfortable. "You know that you don't have to carry me, right?" He asked the Russian quietly.

Kai watched the back of Bryan's heels, using them as his guide to find out where his next step would be. He didn't want to be here anymore.

He wanted to leave. Not with the other Kai. He just wanted to get out of the situation altogether.

~

Sonia walked purposefully through the door of the main control room in Biovolt. "I am Sorry." She told Boris, her thick accent decreasing rapidly as she allowed herself to speak English more naturally. "I was caught up."

The tech in charge of surveilance nodded at Sonia and went back to monitoring Taki and Kai.

Only to find that they had disappeared again. He frowned but shrugged it off. They already had an idea of where he was heading, finding him down there would be easy.

The brunettes in charge of finding out about drigger sighed and went back to the research. He clicked a few more links before taking some notes.

"This source says that the disc was handed down through generations in a small chinese villiage, the last holder having disappeared some years ago. They thing he was kidnapped." He shrugged, "like you can believe everything on here though."

~

Bryan shrugged. "Your there now, no point moving. Unless you want me to drop you then just say the word."

He watched the redhead in front of him and raised an eyebrow. "See anything tala?"

"Maybe," Tala replied.

"Funny," bryan said blankly.

Tala looked over his shoulder and stuck his tongue out. "Fine. We're nearly there."

~

Kia looked around before looking back at the girl worriedly. She reached out and laid her hand on Fayina's shoulder.

"Fayina?" she forgot about the Kisa persona in worry. "What's wrong?"

~

Taki huffed. "But he didn't have to punch me. Violence doesn't solve anything," he stated.

He walked a few more steps before let out a laugh. "Ha ha! Who am i kidding? Violence solves a lot of things like um," He looked around as if waiting for an answer to appear, "Wold peace!"

He turned to Kai. "Who needs world peace these day? Violence solved that. There is none!"

He let out another forced laugh. "Ha ha, ahhh..." he slumped his head forward, "I need sleep. Better yet, i need a holiday. Think Kia will let me got to some place warm? This place is freezing!"

He looked up at the group in front of him, letting out a small smile when Mariah seemed to have reached a door.
PostPosted: Thu Jul 06, 2006 6:24 am

Kai rolled his eyes "You're insane." He told the other Russian matter-of-factly and walked past him, joining Mariah's followers and standing at the back.

I hope he's prepared to face Kia's wrath. Kai thought with a small smirk.

I know I'm not

~

"I'm sorry." She whispered, not really talking to Kia but to her imagined Taki. "I'm sorry." She repeated.

"I just wanted to forget." She said in a quieter voice, trying to justify herself to the pain she saw on Taki's face. "I didn't want this."

She shook her head. "I'm sorry." She repeated again. "I couldn't live with me." She tried again.

The Taki that she saw continued to stare accusingly at her as he fell backwards due to the impact from the bullet fired by her gun. "Sacha..." She whispered, the image in her head changing from Taki's dark framed face to Sacha's more rounded boyish one.

"Why?" She asked, looking at Kia beseechingly. "Why?"

~

"Nearly where" Kai asked, looking at Tala. "We're meant to get to some unsurveilled rooms or something aren't we?"

Brooklyn yelped at Bryan's shrug movement. "Don't do that again!" He scolded the lavender-haired teen, nevertheless, digging his fingers into Bryan's clothes and holding on tightly. "You'll drop me for real."

~

Boris looked up at Sonia. "Where've you been?" He asked angrily.

Sonia shrugged and tossed her head, making her hair fall back behind her shoulders, it had begun to fall out as she had jogged. "Around." She said flippantly. She felt comfortable enough with Boris after working with him for many years to be flippant.

Boris' eyes narrowed but he said nothing. Whatever Sonia had been doing she would eventually tell him. It was only a matter of when. The blonde normally waited until the operation that she was working on was complete before she deemed it necessary to tell Boris about it.

She walked over to the tech on surveillance and put a hand on his shoulder to get his attention. "Look at Rooms sub456A8 and 9" She told him quietly.

She straightened and looked at Boris. "I was busy welcoming all of the newcomers Kia has brought with her." She said flatly.

Boris blinked, that was the second Kia reference of the day. "What?" He asked, a sinking feeling in his stomach. "What did you say?"

~

Rei watched Kai and Taki closely, seeing what they would do. He wanted to know why Boris would be so interested in Kai.

Why is an idiot like him the only one able to control the sac-

Rei blinked as he remembered where he had heard the term sacred spirit before.

The tech looked up from his computer, eyebrows shooting up. "Kiana? But isn't she-"

"Dead?" The brunette filled in as they both looked at Sonia incredulously.

~

Bryan looked down at Brooklyn and smirked. "Drop you? I would never do that - whoops," he said and pretended to drop Brooklyn before catching him again. He snickered and walked up besides Tala.

Tala was staring at a door. "Yep, and that's where we are, at some rooms."

Bryan looked at Tala and then at the door. "Well?"

"What if, " Tala started, "This whole thing is a set up and they're all luring us to our deaths. Like from the moment we got on that plane we were doomed."

Bryan sighed, "You sure like that word and paranoid much? Just go in."

"But what if?"

"What if the sky fell in? Then we'd be doomed. Just take everything as it comes we're pretty powerless at the moment."

Tala rolled his eyes,"Fine," and opened the door.

~

Kia shook her head, confused. "Why what? Fayina tell me what happened."

She didn't care about the door opening and Mariah walking in with a group of people. There were some raised eyebrows for a few members of the group, obviously surprised that Kia was in there.

Mariah raised and eyebrow and walked over to the two girls. Kia looked up and mariah shot her a questioning look. Kia shook her head and turned back to Fayina.

~

Taki rolled his eyes. "And lovin' it." He walked up to stand beside Kai again and moving with the crowd, preparing to use the other as a shield if Kia decided to hurt him more.

He raised an eyebrow at sight of the girls when he was close enough to door way.
