Kichi saw the waves come flying at him, and raised up his tonfa to parry. Using the force of the attack,he let the parry of the first wave send him flying backwards away from some of the other slashes, as well as Cory. His arms ached from restraining that blow, and there were more coming. He dodged as best as he good, though a few got him pretty badly. He winced in pain, and parried another one to get out of the way of a couple more, straining his arms further. Then he ducked behind a rock-pile, and quietly glided from rock to rock, unleashing a few Ruin spells from between them.

"What's wrong, Purple Ranger?! I haven't even picked up the pace!" Cory stopped his assault, opting to simply dodge the Ruin spells coming his way with the physical prowess he was so proud of. However, the entire fight had run its course.
He can't have much left in him, and I'm getting rather bored of this myself. I could wait for him to tucker himself out, or... Cory's mind raced back to Kyla, making sure to keep his eyes off of her so as to not attract attention to his real target. After all, Kyla was already well-guarded as it was, and Cory didn't need anymore people attempting to protect her.
The Azure Ronin dismissed all of the Ronin Heartless with a wave of his hand, figuring that the additional Heartless would only serve to confuse the Earthlings. Though Cory used them as a tool, Heartless were still his enemy, too. They threatened this world, and that was enough for them to be made an enemy as a whole to the Rogues.
Cory sighed, becoming easily bored with Kichi's style of fighting and opting to simply not continue the game of cat and mouse. Without a word, Cory fell backwards from the Red Rose, falling to the ground and crushing a Neoshadow beneath his feet. He thrust the Revblade into its head, causing the creature to vanish in a cloud of smoke, before looking the battlefield over.
Everyone's still busy with the Heartless... Even the people defending Kyla are more focused on keeping Heartless away from her than the pictomancer herself... The ronin grinned before making his way over to Alan as he continued to cut down Heartless as they approached him. After sending a few Heartless tumbling to the ground, he reached the mage, removed his face mask before quietly uttering something only Alan would be able to hear.
"If you wish to have a private conversation with me later, I'm not opposed to the idea. Don't worry about finding me- I'll find you. The moment you are alone, I shall answer your questions... Well, the ones I know the answers to, anyway."
With that, Cory's image flickered and vanished, revealing him to have used his final burst to appear before Kyla. He knew even a second wasted against her would result in his defeat- her magic was far above his own and he was out of Bursts. As soon as the ronin came into view, he struck the sketchbook from the pictomancer's hands. But he knew it wouldn't be enough to just do that, as she could re-summon her sketchbook as anyone else could re-summon their weapon. Cory regretfully sent his fist into the girl's abdomen, hopefully knocking her unconscious or at least incapacitating her.
The dark portal was already opening back to Hook's Ship as all of this happened, allowing Cory to make his escape with the girl. He looked back through the portal, Kyla held securely over his shoulder as he gave a quick salute to anyone who might have been watching.
"Hook, line, and sinker. Adios, losers."
And the portal was gone.
((OOC: The above post was planned out before hand, as will be proven by Kyla's upcoming sketches. They're badass, btw.))

Noelle felt as if she would melt when James hugged her. Safe. Finally safe. She returned the embrace, still weak with fatigue, with the strongest one she could muster. It was a wonderful feeling to be back with her friends again, she didn't think she had ever been more relieved in her life.
"Yeah . . . I'm okay now. I think I can thank boy-wonder for that." The agromancer replied with a smile, glancing over at Sora. She didn't answer James' first question, though. She didn't know if she wanted to, she was still processing it all herself. A feeling of regret came over her as she remembered the journal she had made. It was what she used to keep her thoughts all together and jot down what happened, giving her a chance to internalize it and figure things out. She had left it in her shelter, not knowing it would be the last time she was there.
Pushing it from her mind, Noelle looked over at Joe and immediately leaned to hug him as well. She buried her face in his chest and sighed heavily. There wasn't much she felt she had to say. What was there to say? I missed you guys? Yeah, understatement of the year. At last something came to her mind. Something that made her furious inside. She was torn between sorrow and hatred, unable to find a middle ground.
"I couldn't do it." She said, her voice muffled by Joe's shirt. "I couldn't get it back . . . I lost it . . . I'm sorry."

It had happened way too fast. He took his eyes off of Kyla to take out a couple of Neo-Shadows and when he looked back, Cory was already kidnapping her. Turning on his heel, he pushed off, trying to reach her as-
"Hook, line, and sinker. Adios, losers."
"F***!" He shouted out as he passed through the empty space where the portal once stood. Just a couple seconds. He'd been late by a couple of seconds. Kyle felt like he'd just hit an all time low. He told Kyla he had her back. Then that went and happened. Standing in a bit of shock, he only started moving again as a Neo-Shadow clawed at his back, startling him with the pain. Quickly dispatching it, he started flowing through the Heartless. A stab here, a slash there, his mind was on autopilot as he wove his way through Heartless.

James smiled as Noelle returned his hug strongly. It seemed that she was definitely alright, fatigued definitely but uninjured it seemed. She confirmed as much as she replied to his question. However, he noted that she hadn't replied to his first question. He wouldn't press it though, it was obvious by the state that she was in, as well as her return via a dark portal that it had been something she didn't want to talk about, or wasn't sure how to put into words yet. It wasn't the first time she hadn't told him things though, and he wasn't going to encroach on her privacy. If she wanted to tell him, then she would when she was ready, that's all there was too it.
"Yeah good thing Sora is here..." He said softly in reply as he stood up and moved away to allow her some room.
He kept his eyes on her as she leaned forward and hugged Joe, his eyes narrowing slightly as he heard her muffled speech thanks to his enhanced senses.
'What couldn't she get back...? What did she lose...?' The corsair couldn't help but question in his mind as he thought back to the past events.
The only thing that they had really lost was Rae's heart... which had been exactly the time that she had disappeared too. The corsair realized that had to be what she was talking about.

Kyle stood aside as Noelle got herself off of Fenrir's back, hugging and greeting James and Joe. It was pretty clear to Kyle what she meant; she'd chased after Elleon the moment she'd taken Rae's heart, after all...
Kyle wasn't too concerned about her not noticing him. They hadn't had as much time to get close; she and Joe had been there before Kyle joined, and she and James had gotten pretty close through all the bull-s**t she (or her Replica, or a shapeshifter in her form) kept doing to him.
"It's okay, Noelle. She's in stasis... we'll get it back," he reassured her, nodding with a compassionate look in his eyes. Determination. "It's not your fault. So don't take that onto yourself."
.:Hypocrite.:.
"Wow, what are the odds!" Sora asked, running up with a wild grin. He seemed oblivious to the negativity going on. "We just land here, and out you fall from the sky! Where have you been?

Kichi flipped around the last one, and looked back just in time to see Cory vanish, reappear next to Kyla, and take her out, and into a dark portal. Kichi was speechless...in fact...he was gone. He fell. Out of the air. He was a good 25 feet in the air, so when he hit the ground, he hit it hard. No yell was heard though, no shout of pain. Just the sound of him hitting the ground. He didn't move. He just layed there. The heartless started to close around him. Still, nothing. Even the heartless seemed curious. But no move was made as they edged closer. Not an inch.

The male hadn't been really paying attention to what Noelle was saying and doing, mainly because he focused himself on checking out Noelle. Well, till the hug threw that focus away.
The male had his arms up and cocked awkwardly so as to not hit the girl, but relaxed when he listened to what she said, even with the confusion that replaced the surprise...
Wrapping one of his arms around the girl's shoulders, he used his free hand to stroke her hair and head. "It's okay..." he whispered, a grim-looking smile appearing on his face as he realized she was talking about Rae's heart.
"Welcome back."

Jenny's smile of relief faltered as Noelle spoke, the mage took a handful of fabric into her hand and twisted at it. The agromancer was trying to shoulder everything, it saddened her. Was it because she couldn't trust any of them? No, no... she couldn't allow herself to think that. Of course Noelle trusted them. What silly thoughts was she thinking?
So the mage stood by, next to Dawn suppressing the urge to run and hug Noelle as well. I can hug her in a bit, she's not going anywhere... at least she better not. Jenny smiled at the reunion and no, she was not tearing up. That would be absurd.

He hadn't stood a chance of getting there in time. These new Rangers- they had some strange abilities. To Billy's logical mind, the thought seemed ridiculous, but it had to be... magic.
As he watched the scene unfold, swiping away at Heartless, he watched in horror as one of their own was kidnapped by the Azure Ronin Ranger. The fighter that had gone against him had was falling toward the ground- he couldn't catch him, but Billy could certainly defend him!
Slicing through the numerous Heartless that came near, Billy shouted out to his fellow Ranger- "Hey! Are you okay? Come on, talk to me!"
As Kyla was taken from right under his nose, Seymour took on a look of annoyance, incinerating a large chunk of nearby Heartless with a giant Firaga stream. The Heartless had stopped spawning, but there were still a good many around.

 [Dani :: Angel Grove :: City Streets->Outside Red Rose] Dani huffed as she rode the bike finally out of the city. She had been riding for a long time and could not even use proper transportation to get there. This had been a tough day for her and had pushed her to her limits. Dani eventually came upon the crash site that she had been meaning to get to for awhile. She quickly hopped off the bike to see another heartless commotion. ‘I guess today is going to be a long day.’ Dani said to herself in her mind. Dani forced her chakrams to come from her hands before walking over to where the groups of people were fighting the heartless. “Why are there so many power rangers?” she asked sitting on the ground near them completely ignoring the heartless around the area. ”I am sorry I cannot fight. I just rode from the middle of the city to here as fast as I could.” She coughed in pain from how hard she had to ride.

Kyle slowly was coming out of his anger induced autopilot as he realized that the Heartless weren't as numerous as before. Well, around him at least. They seemed to have lessened slightly. Why? Looking around, he saw the reason. A large group of Heartless had gathered around somebody. Who was it? ...Kichi? Why him? He was a great fighter. Did Cory beat him?
Well, whatever the case, Kyle quickly sent an Earth Fang towards a group of Heartless. Tearing up the ground, it would clear Kichi's left side of Heartless, allowing for a way out if he choose it. In any case, Kyle immediately started towards Kichi, mainly dodging, trying to get to his side.
Noticing the brown haired girl coming through the hordes of Heartless, he stopped and sent another Earth Fang towards the Heartless around her. He was getting tired of sending Earth Fangs. He'd have to start relying on his katars alone. Lovely. Noticing that the Blue Ranger had gotten to Kichi before him, he shouted out to him. "Hey, Blue! Keep him safe while I protect her!" Having said his bit, he took off, quickly reaching her side and sliding into a defensive position. "Listen, I don't know why you're here, but stay next to me. I'll protect you as best I can and we'll try to move towards the ship to get a better position." He said as he slowly began moving towards the downed Red Rose.

Stasis? What did that mean? It didn't matter, anything was better than dead. And it meant there was hope. That was all she needed, a little hope. So long as there was hope, she would continue to stay strong. The blond looked up at Kyle and Joe with a half-hearted smile and nodded. They were right, it wasn't her fault . . . she was just disappointed in herself. She had fallen for Elleon's tricks and nearly gotten herself in a world of trouble.
Sora's voice rang out and Noelle's worries resided a little. She laughed and pulled away from Joe a little, but stayed close like she didn't want to be too far away from anyone.
"Dear lord, where have I been? Well, the best way I can describe it is the jungle, I don't know if it has a name. I met the panther, Bagheera, in the middle of it. He stayed with me most of the time. I didn't get to say goodbye to him though, I was . . . oh."
The agromancer suddenly lost her smile and looked between Kyle and Joe. "Do you guys know who Ultimecia is?"

[ Mercer : Port Royal : Prison ]A steady stream of guards suddenly strolled in to the dungeon-like prison, each with weapons at their sides ready to be drawn; some even had pistols at their sides, in case things got dirty. All in all, there were at least a dozen guards in the cramped prison hallway, each lined up at attention in front of the jail cells. Suddenly, another, older man strolled down the stairs at his own leisurely pace. He seemed to be twirling a set of keys. As he reached Jacob's cell, he held a single key up, as if showing it off. "Well, well, looks like it's time for the noose," he said, raising his eyebrows at what he saw in the boy's lap- his daggers. There was only one way to have gotten them out of the chest... where the other woman's weapon was stored. She was in the cell next to Jacob. "So you are... interesting. Not that it matters. Slide the daggers across the ground, or have your head filled with lead. Your decision."Immediately, six of the guards drew pistols, each pointed directly at Jacob through the bars. He didn't exactly have a choice in the matter.

Kyla's kidnapping happened so fast that Alan couldn't even begin to react. With the element of surprise on his side, the battle didn't even have time to start before it was over. Not knowing Cory, not really knowing Kyla, and knowing nothing of their relationship, Alan was as at a loss as to what to think of this development as he was what to do about it.
And there were still Heartless. large mound of them were attacking the unmoving Jon. (Was he injured from his fall? Alan was worried . . . ) As if in a trance, Alan moved to protect his friend.
"Are you listening? Haha-ue, are you listening?"
And there was that voice again. This time, calling for its mother. Odd. Since Alan was too young and too male to be a mother, he was even more certain now that even if that voice was real, it wasn't talking to him. He ignored it.
The distraction cost him time. A heartless tore at his side, sinking sharp claws into his flesh. Ow . . . no! Help Jon first. Pain is a lie!
Alan ran forward to put some distance between himself and his attacker, and focused attention on Jon, calling fires from the earth itself - and the fires came. A ring of fire formed on Jon's right as Kyle cleared his left, spinning elegantly as it incinerated the Heartless in his immediate vicinity.
Alan was taken aback. The fire he conjured was definitely hotter then usual. He hadn't put any more power into the spell. What did that mean?
His assailant was upon him again. It caught a weapon to the face. Jehuti, not really a weapon, did nothing more than stun the Heartless, but it gave Alan enough time to reach his communicator. "JON~!", he menatlly shouted, "Jon! Are you alright?!"
"HEY~! The voice was angry. "HEY, LISTEN!"
"Ehh," suddenly Alan realized that the voice was talking to him. "Sorry! I didn't think - - did you call me haha-ue?"
"Umm . . . yeah! Is that not right?"
Oh, goodness. This needed attention. And the Heartless were attacking him now. Alan retreated to a more defensive position, with his back to the airship.
"No. No, it's . . . not. For one thing . . . who are you?
"I'm the one living in your heart.", the voice answered nonchalantly. "What should I call you, then?"
Alan decided that whoever had taken up residence in his heart could really afford to work on her sense of timing.
"If it has to be filial, how about Ani-ue?"
"I don't know what filial means, but fine! Ani-ue, use my power! We'll roast all the bad guys!"
