"Aww thanks! I couldn't have done it without... well, without my insanity, but ya know. You kinda inspired me too!" Sam stuck out her tongue again.
"Oh Yeah! I almost forgot. When I was up there, all the Acids were collecting around your bag. It was kinda like they were attracted to it or something. I don't really know why, but I thought it might be the stasis-thinga-ma-bober thing that you invented. What do you think?"
Sam smiled innocently while inside she was cackling like an idiot. She knew what her rather blasay phrase would do to the girl. It owuld make her go crazy with all the possibilities.

Kayla was rather worried about the 'you inspired me' comment, but it was forgotten completely when she was informed of this new news.
"Drawn to my bag...really?" This was odd. The Acids shouldn't have even know about the bag let alone be able to detect it. Perhaps it was the stasis they were drawn to, as Sam had mentioned. But if so, how could they know about it? And was it just going to draw countless Acids to their location in the future?
"Hmm..." she muttered contemplatively, while slowly putting down her empty bowl. Maybe it had to do with the samples of Reaper's and her own blood that were kept in the bag. Perhaps they were drawn to a food source...or worse, drawn to their own kind. But no. It couldn't be that, as she had seen plenty of loner Acids wandering the streets before. So what could it possibly be.

Sam grinned goofily as Kayla slipped into her own thoughts. Realizing that Kayla might be 'out' for a while, so to speak, Sam allowed herself to drift into thought as well.
'mmmmm the chili smells so damn good! I love the smell of cooking meat. Wait. Cooking meat. I wonder if... awwww s**t!'
"Kayla? KAYLA!!" Sam cried. "I just thought of something. You put meat in the chili! It smells like freaking meat! The Acids are gonna smell it! What do we do?" Sam started freaking out. It looked, to her, as though they were laying a trap for themselves.

Kayla was drawn out of her thoughts as she heard Sam freaking out. "Calm down, it's tofu. That s**t keeps forever and the Acids can't smell anything anyway. I mean, maybe they can smell their own rotting flesh, but nothing else would overpower that scent, so even if it was meat we would be safe." She replied with a small grin. Where did she honestly think they were going to get meat now-a-days? Maybe some deep freezers still had a decent supply, but almost all of the power had gone out when the Acids rioted. With no one left alive to reprogram the electricity, it had just switched off.

"Oh... Wel don't I fell dumb." This was a normal feeling for Sam but it felt funnier in this situation. Suddenly, Sam let out a huge yawn that cracked her jaw.
"Gah. I'm tired agian. I'm gonna sleep. You should too. We'll be safe in here. If you want, I can take first watch."

Sam's yawn was contagious, and it was only then that Kayla realized she hadn't slept in nearly two full days. She knew they would be safe here, what with the upstairs door being jammed shut, but just to be safe she dragged Reapers heavy black case to the door leading to the basement and curled up against it. She didn't weigh much, but she would at least feel the jar of the door being shoved open.
"If you want," Kayla yawned widely as she pulled out blankets for the two of them, Reaper already being covered. She handed on to Sam and tried to make herself comfortable. "I mean...we're pretty safe, but it's probably a better idea." She was out before she even heard Sam's reply.

((Oh hey, sorry I stopped so suddenly. My computer started screwing up and it took all night to fix. XP))
Reaper had never really been asleep while Kayla and Sam had been talking, only being very quiet while keepig his eyes closed.
He actually had to hold in a laugh ath the part about how he had first met Kayla.
He heard Sam say she was going to take first watch, but when he got up she was asleep along with Kayla.
"I guess I will take first watch." He says he sits back up. "Dang I really banged myself up this time." He said as he examined his injuries a bit better.

-when blake walks out he again sees butler outside still smoking his pipe and working on a handgun, barley noticing that blake walked outside- (basically butler is taking apart his handgun and and making it better, and he kinda does it for fun)

((Thanks For the compliment Priest! whee ))
Kayla had been having the most pleasant dream. It was a simple dream. She had been sitting with her mother and drinking a cup of coffee. They had been talking about how her work was going and when she might get that new promotion. Her mothers hair had been a deep red and smelled of coconut shampoo. She felt the tear slip down her face as she slowly came back to reality. Of course she had to dream about the three things she missed the most, all at once. She knew she was wide awake when she smelt the odour of antiseptics. Reapers bandages needed changing and he was probably hungry.
With Sam and Reaper around it was easy to see them as a family, and with Reaper in this condition she could nurse him. That took care of two of the things she missed the most...now how could she get a good cup of coffee?

Reaper looks over and sees that Kayla had woken up. "Hello." He says as he starts to dig through his case. "Do you like coffee?" "I decided I was going to brew myself some, and now that you are awake I just asked if you want some to." He says as pulls a bag of coffee grinds and other things.

Kayla's jaw dropped in shock. She stared at him like he was the most beautiful being in the world as a huge grin split her face in two.
"It's like you've known me my whole life." She smiled broadly as she stretch, working her tight muscles from sleep. She would definitely never get used to sleeping on concrete floors with only a blanket and her arm as a pillow. When the virus had originally broken out she was certain it would be survivable. But many more nights like this last one and she wouldn't be too sure anymore.

"I... guess... that is... a yes." He asks her.
Oh ,and here is pillow for when you fall asleep again." He tosses her a pillow. "I had forgotten about it until just now, when I saw it in here."
"I don't need it. Some people say it is uncomfortable; to me it is better than sitting in a barn-yard full of dead animals, with the entire area infested with the infected, and have already lost three frineds and teammates to them and two other friends being infected." He says jokingly at first then turns to a very cold voice.

Kayla's heart went out to her friend. It sucked loosing friends and teammates. People you cared about always ended up hurt; like Reaper was right now. Speaking of which, he needed to have his wounds looked at.
"The coffee would be great and the pillow is wonderful. Two comfort's I have definitely missed. But how are you feeling this morning?" She moved to fuse over his bandages and started to look at the wounds underneath them.
