[∫ ʋ ʓ ʋ ʁ ᾲ ɳ] {You look like you fell down a tree and hit every possible branch on the way down.}
[Traverse Town :: First District ] Suzu kept relatively silent throughout the course of breakfast, she participated in the planning and so on but her mind was preoccupied by other things. What was a foreigner doing in her world? How could he not have gotten any information about anything? Who was going to pay him? He must not have been an incredibly seasoned as a bounty hunter. Or maybe he was and he just didn't want to divulge the information. Either way, Suzu had a lot of things on her mind.
So much on her mind that when Thales tapped her shoulder, she hardly noticed it."...right?"Suzu looked up before looking to the side. She often zoned out in political meetings too, but over the years she had learned to deduce the question from people's facial expressions. From the way Thales looked, he was asking something of her and as they were walking towards the gummi ships it could only mean one thing. "Yeah, I suppose you can come along."

((Sorry for not posting in weeks. I just couldn't bring myself to do it.)) Nalo
Nalo watched as Merlin used all of his might to move the gummi ship out of the first district square. The man had some terrifying skills, that much was certain. The people of Traverse Town were certainly lucky. Nalo listened to the conversations about. Window and the rest of the group had already entered a cafe to eat, there were more people inside.
Nalo wanted to stay outside and bask in the still cool and refreshing air. It was a little disheartening to live on a world enveloped by darkness. To have no warmth of the rising sun. To have to bright smiles from the sky. Nalo jogged into the cafe and stood behind the Solaris. The Vierra draped his arms around the man and stared at everyone who was seated. "It's been a long day. Are you guys excited?" Nalo walked around the table, curiously examining Rasxa. He listened to the male's speech: he was right. Solaris and Window certainly were an interesting pair. He stopped walking behind Window; he ruffled the man's soft hair and smiled.

Lazirex had long sense dispatched the remaining heartless. He sat down for a moment finishing his drawing on the floor of the third district before coming to the realization that the sooner he left, the sooner he could be off on another adventure, looking for more artificers, creating worlds...fun stuff. Zaxirel flew as fast as he could back to the second district, through the gold room, through the second district ravine to the first district. Only...his ship wasn't there. Who in their right minds couldn't keep something where they found it? It wasn't like there was space to put the darn thing. Well then...The only quick and logical solution was to find another ship to hijack, see if anyone nearby was heading off to a planet he'd never been to, or to temporarily commandeer the prerequisites for interplanetary travel from a vendor nearby.

Life is an Illusion, Therefore, We all Believe the Same Lie ~ Traverse Town--> First District-->Cafe~ Rasxa waited quite patiently for one of the others to say something, wondering when they would say something. They are quite curious... one has strange purple hair and the other is quite strange as well... He thought carefully watching them both as he sat in the kind of middle seat. To entertain himself, he lightly traced patterns on the table.

[[Traverse Town] .:. [First District] .:. [Restaurant]]
Vai nodded to Merlin just before the wizard had taken a sudden interest in someone else, the young man taking that as his cue to take his own leave. He turned to see Window and the others from the day before, as well as some new faces.It would seem the lone wolf has been enticed by the promise of company.It's nothing like that, sword... I only need their aid in getting to other worlds. From there I can write my own destiny. Vain approached the group and placed a hand on Window's shoulder to grasp his attention, if only for a moment. Explaining himself was never his strong suit, so the young man simply reached back and gripped the handle of the Revblade, prompting the weapon to speak."We're accompanying you all on that Gummi Ship. You can rest easy knowing that Vain and myself are there to keep an eye out!"

[[Core]]
[[Traverse Town] .:. [First District] .:. [Courtyard; By the main exit]]
Core opened one eye and looked to Merlin, the wizard's apparent power catching his attention first and foremost. It wasn't until Core was looking in the general direction did he notice it coming from the man who had also piqued the wizard's interest. While Core was completely blind and numb to the world of magic, his own pressure was, in a sense, pushed away. It was as if a powerful pressure of the man's own had focused in on himself rather than outward to those around him, like Core's own incredible pressure only reversed. It was as though he had the powers of the gods, yet was restricted to the form of a man.
And he interested Core more than anything else.
Four katana suddenly vanished from Mugenken, one sailing through the air at Kuroda as Core's image re-stabilized in the air, his speed blurring himself from untrained eyes. Second Path... Two more katana blurred towards the ground, one sinking into the cobblestone as though it were mud and the other striking the first thrown katana before sinking into the ground as well, throwing the stricken katana into a spin. Core was on the pommel of one of the thrown katana, reaching down to grab it as he kicked off of it towards the next one, grabbing the spinning katana in midair using the same hand. He kicked off of the second katana pommel, grabbing it as well as he closed the distance between himself and Kuroda.
He stopped just short of the man he viewed as a god, the three katana in a single hand. He held each one in between his fingers, making it look as though each katana were simply one piece of a large claw. Core held this claw in a striking position, as though he had stopped his own attack in mid strike. The final katana slowly fell from the sky, landing softly in Core's off-hand and prompting the man to smile.
He fell into a more relaxed stance, thrusting each katana into the cobblestone to free up his hands before he spoke. "I'm sorry if I'm interrupting, but I was overcome with the sudden urge for battle." Core bowed his head slightly to Merlin and Kuroda, the pressure that exhumed from the master swordsman kicking in to limit movement of the weak. Something Core had hoped would not affect Kuroda. "My name is Cornelius Edgelock. It's a pleasure to be in the presence of two powerful beings such as yourselves."

Life is an Illusion, Therefore, We all Believe the Same Lie ~ Traverse Town--> First District-->Cafe~ Rasxa's eyes widened as the revblade literally spoke. "Holy Smokes! That thing talked. How did you do that? Is there some kind of spell or does it have a materia in it or something?" He exclaimed, amazed that it was capable of intelligent speak. Finally noticing that a rather large group was appearing around them, he became visibly nervous of so many people that he didn't know. "Are they all going with you too..." He asked, trailing off and looking at Window, as he still hadn't caught his name yet. "I beg your pardon, but I haven't gotten your name yet." Rasxa said, staring dead on at Window, determined to be able to at least call him something. I wonder if I really will be allowed to come with them... He thought his mind going off on a few tangents with it.

((To everyone, especially Raxsa, I'm so sorry I've taken so long to post! ><)) ~Window~ [Traverse Town::First District Cafe] The man sat down, amused at Rasxa's words. HIm? Interesting? Hardly. Out of this entire town filled with beings of every imaginable shape, ability, and skill, Window was probably only notable in his lack of these qualities. "Ah, I am sorry to disappoint you, but I am afraid that I am not one who frequents Merlin's company and will probably have little interest to you. I am merely a person who has been...misplaced, and, alas, I must find my way home. You have my sincerest condolences about the loss of your own world. Are you a resident here now? Where are you headed?" As Nalo entered, Window was a little more prepared this time as his hair was, once again, mussed by the playful Viera. Window suppressed the downward flinch and even managed to produce a small smile for Nalo. Give it a few days, you'll get used to it. Well, that's if you're still together for the next few days. Wait, where will I even be in the next few days? It was a frightening thought. Window had thus far managed to avoid thinking about the abrupt change to his life since the initial waves of shock from the day before, but...All of a sudden, the man's blood ran cold as he was overcome with a sense of alienation. He looked around. The restaurant was full of life, abundant with chattering people as they laughed, ate, argued, conversed, sneezed, mused, hiccuped, poured over maps, explained, complained---and it was all with each other, with an ease of familiarity and routine. This was normal for them. This was a group of people united in their travels, in their transitory lifestyle, in their liminality, neither here nor there, no longer a resident of their homeworld. But, for now, in this moment, they were a resident of this world. Window was not. Window had a home. He hadn't wanted to be here. He was an island in a sea of lost souls. It was like being in a group where everyone was a friend and he was the odd one out, knowing nothing of the inside jokes, partaking little in the conversation. He was an observer. Hadn't he been content with this before? What was wrong? What had changed? A small part of him knew the answer: After the initial fascination over the expansion of his known universe, Window now no longer held a familiar, stable observation point. He no longer had the comfort or the luxury of his place in the grand macrocosm from which he could look on with the interest of a scholar. What kind of life is this where he didn't even know where he was going to BE in the next day? A slight panic took over Window, and just as he was about to excuse himself (under the pretense of having to relieve himself, but really he just wanted a small space in which he could huddle for a moment), a hand dropped heavily onto his shoulder. Startled, looking up, Window saw it was the adolescent from the previous day. He had forgotten his name, if he had even mentioned it, but a voice from below supplied it readily enough. Window quickly gathered his wits and brought himself back into the moment, easily falling into the familiar (and therefore comforting) role of host. "Ah, Vain! It is you! And your sword! Many thanks again for your aid yesterday. Have you already talked with Merlin about this matter? I am afraid to say that we will be undertaking the rather bothersome journey of finding my home, which may not be to you liking. Or were you hired to accompany us?" The man stood as he talked, politely gesturing for Vain to take a seat at the table if he so wished. "Oh, Vain, this is Raxsa. Raxsa, this is Vain, who helped Nalo and me out of a bit of...difficulty yesterday. Actually, I should make introductions all around, since not all of us know each other. As Window spoke, he indicated those he named. Everyone, this young man is Vain, though I am afraid I do not recall the name of his intelligent blade. The one with the purple hair is Solaris Teodolis, and this, as I have said, is Raxsa. And the um,"--what did Youni call him?-- "joyful, long-eared bunny here is Nalo. I think that is everyone present." He looked around. "Oh! And I am Window. It will be a pleasure to meet such a company of people."
"Raxsa, Vain, you are welcome to join us for our morning meal. I hope we are not holding you back from prior engagements, Raxsa. I realize that you may have other plans here in Traverse Town, so please do not let us hinder you from your travels."

[*~Youni~*] "...." [First district: Merlin's Hut]
....Everything started with an empty heart-
Now sensations, inprints of feelings are born within the void...
..with Hope Leading the way.

“Friendship.” She repeated. Youni had encountered this term used before. Merlin described it once, but only in passing. It was something that was connected to Yuffie, Aerith, Cid and Leon. It was something they all had, and shared. At first, the evidence added up to some kind of condition which all four of them could have possibly contracted, but most contracted conditions of the body were usually non-beneficial.
As for symptoms, Youni had yet to witness anything out of the ordinary, or side effects they all shared in common.
What Aerith had just helped her experimentally find was that this Friendship must be a bond of relations and not some ailment. More specifically, it was some form of peer bonding which once obtained, results in a position reaction known as ‘Happiness.’ However, the same phenomena results in negative feedback when suddenly the reciprocator of the link is removed from close contact. Resulting in the opposite feeling of Happiness, the feeling of Sadness.
When the kindly florist asked Youni about what which of these sensations occupied her inner being at the prospect of companying window on his travels, Youni was honest as she always was with her answers.
Slowly, she shut her two-toned eyes again, blocking out the distractions from her inward examination; “ There is yet another sensation, similar to that of Happiness, but it is distinctly different. This sensation is linked with the idea of exploration. It is not curiosity, as it is both connected to past and present tense in terms of initial seeking. it's small, but it's growing brighter the more Youni focuses on rejoining Window. It’s... relieved, and forth ward thinking-“
Youni was grasping for its name.

Life is an Illusion, Therefore, We all Believe the Same Lie ~ Traverse Town--> First District-->Cafe~ Rasxa came back from his tangent of thought when Window started to introduce everybody, including himself. "It's... nice to meet you all. So... we are going to try and find where you belong? Perhaps I can find what I'm looking for along the way. Needless to say, I have nothing really to do here, I had just arrived here this morning to only get on another Gummi Ship heading someplace else, but I think that I will catch a ride with you guys, so I don't think you are going to get rid of me that easily." He said, finishing with a seemingly sharp-toothed grin. Even though he says he isn't, Window is a subject to be studied and examined in every way possible. He is excruciatingly interesting to say the least. His friends are extremely interesting as well. One has the ears of a rabbit and seems to have boundless amounts of energy, another has a weapon that talks, and the other I've already met, with his strangely purple hair. I bet this is going to be fun! He thought a happily entertained glint appearing in Rasxa's eyes.

(Sorry for the lateness in posting. I'll toss up a Solaris post after this one as well.) Kuroda
{Traverse Town ~ First District}
So he had been correct. The man in front of him was indeed Merlin, an incredibly powerful mage. Over his lifetime, he'd very rarely met beings as powerful as the one in front of him. "I am merely seeking information on the Darkness that inhabits the worlds. I've come here in the hopes of finding some source of the Darkness, or simply of rumors. If you have anything of note, I would like to hear it, as it would shorten my journey by a great deal." He said politely, doubtful that the man would have anything for him to investigate. There were never any leads.
As he waited for Merlin's answer, Kuroda noticed something moving quickly at him, a man bearing a sword style that Kuroda hadn't seen before. Featuring many swords at once, instead of one or two blades. Pulling out his claymores from behind his back, he watched and waited, wondering if the man was going to attack or not. And it seemed that he was not going to attack. After stopping his blades mid-attack, he thrust them into the ground and bowed to them. Politeness dictated that he respond with his name, so he did. "I am Kuroda Takumi. A pleasure to meet you." Following Core's example, Kuroda bowed his head slightly before looking back up at the man. "An interesting sword style. Does it have a name?" It should have been clear to Core that the pressure he was exerting had no effect on Kuroda, nor had he even noticed that it was there.

[[Core]]
[[Traverse Town] .:. [First District]]
Core smiled satisfactorily as Kuroda seemed unaffected, even oblivious to the pressure exerted by Core's strength. He again gripped the four blades, switching from style to style as a demonstration whilst he explained, "On my homeworld of Clockwork, it goes by many names that the citizens have named it. 'Infinite Sword', 'Unending Edge', 'Raining Blade'... There's more than I can keep track of. The official name, however-" He thrust all of the katana back into the ground before finishing, "Is 'Mugenken'. A deep and difficult to master style that utilizes an entire case of swords. There is no situation Mugenken cannot adapt to, however, making it a style that many train to master. While many have trained in Mugenken back on Clockwork, few have achieved a mastery of the style. It is because of the Mugenken's unrivaled capability that I have risen to the top of Clockwork, and it is why I am here now- to search for one who can truly defeat me."
The warrior fell into a more casual stance, placing a hand on one of the katana and leaning on it as he said, "Now, since I've answered a question of yours, it is only polite that you answer a question of mine... How is it possible that someone can have such an inhibiting aura about that? It feels as though you are exerting a pressure similar to my own... only it caves in on top of you, restricting your own power rather than that of those around you."

{Traverse Town ~ First District}
Watching as Core demonstrated the various styles, Kuroda tried to remember if he'd ever been to the world of Clockwork before. If he had, he most certainly hadn't seen that style before. It was certainly an interesting style, but Kuroda wasn't sure of it's practicality. What would happen when he was in an area where he couldn't effectively use his sword style? Dismissing the question, he moved on to Core's question.
Core was correct, it would only be polite to answer his question. However...to reveal the truth could be potentially dangerous. The chains were all that bound him to life. Still, Merlin had seen the chains. He couldn't foresee any potential harm in revealing them to Core. "Very well. Watch closely."
Concentrating on the magic that surrounded him, he began to line it with light, revealing the chains as glowing bonds that surrounded him completely, nearly burying him in light. And within seconds it had disappeared again, unseen except by those with great magical power or experience. "Does this satisfy you?" He asked, watching for Core's reaction.

(Pardon me for moving things along, but I am. ><)~Window~ [Traverse Town::First District Cafe] Window was slightly wary of Raxsa's grin and the glint. Something felt a little...off about the young one. But he was willing to offer his services readily enough. Was everyone on this world as selfless as the people he had met so far? The man returned the smile, saying, "Well, you are certainly welcome to travel with us. I'm sure your company would be a great pleasure." Window didn't know if Artemis and that other wheelchair-ed one would come or not, but...the current party appeared enthusiastic enough. Still, he felt something missing. Or, rather, someone. Youni. Window had been so preoccupied with the morning events that he had hardly any time to reflect upon his previous day, including his encounter with the little girl. After he had explained "forgiveness" to her, she hadn't said much else, departing with Aerith. But when he brought up her reference about Nalo a moment ago, his attention was refocused on Youni. She was...intriguing. There was something about her that drew Window in, like he was filling a hole for her. Maybe Window simply missed teaching others, or maybe he saw a bit of himself reflected in her depthless eyes, a paralleled passion for observation, though Youni took it to the next level. This girl--Youni--she was a quiet one, but when she spoke it was always with a sense of poignancy. Or at least that's how Window felt. Her words were simple, but they were spoken with such gravity that it forced Window to reexamine his reality. Even something as simple as "There is a bunny-human outside" carried so much more in it than an elementary off-hand remark. It was as if she had used her entire being to analyze the observation and report it. Window was a little jealous of this ability; often his ongoing thoughts interrupted a deeper reading of the world. He wondered if he was going to see her and Aerith again before they departed. At that point, the waitress came around and ordered everyone's food--or, at least those who wanted it. Window dug in heartily when their orders arrived, enjoying each new sensation on his tongue. Yeah, he may be in a foreign land, but it didn't mean he couldn't enjoy the small things.
