Normally Trinity's answer would be 'no I get a long with everyone, I'd do anything to avoid a fight...'. But now she had to think about it for things suddenly got more violent as of late.

"Well there was yesterday in the alley I used my shadow abilities to protect that girl that does... acid I think. At the time I went in to help Cortez...I wasn't sure which side to go with at the time... I didn't know that there were sides at the time and not long before that, that there were others...So back to the fight, I shadow slid in in hopes that I would be somewhere in the alley and ended up in the dumpster. I think it was...Lily I think her name is... she opened the dumpster since it was stuck or locked... Then I used my shadow power to try to scare people away because this was getting to close to home. From the shadow formed a beast and I was able to control it, it roared and I protected the Acid girl from a bolt that Cortez threw. Granted she started a fight but she didn't have to die for such a disagreement. After that I was tired.

The other fight I was involved in was this morning. I didn't confront or do anythng for the most part. Pretty much escaped with sensei...

I'm not sure if that helps...

Oh, and as for just now, I do admit I was going to get help but, ever since I found out about my shadow power, I admit, I started taking more risks."

She wondered if she said anything helpful. She also wondered if she spoke too much which was a habit she lost when she had to quit the play. Other kids were either staring at her or avoiding her as a whole. It was a great sense of relief that she was no longer the 'weird one'.

Annie frowned turning around to see the crater in the parking lot created by the bolt of lightening and the shadowy figure in its center. She shivered at the appearance... her eyes narrowed as she realized that what was there was the new form of Leviathan Cortez. She swore under her breath, as goosebumps began to form on her skin. "Does this guy ever just die?" She muttered to herself, pushing her red hair out of her black and gold eyes.

The aura around her was a thick and poisonous feeling, it was like quicksand. It took all of her energy to try to make up a plan and focus on the figure, so the actions around her she ignored, hoping that those close had managed to take her advice. Closing her eyes, she tried to get a grip on her fear. Annie might have had a high amount of faith in her abilities before, but now... she shook her head, realizing that she was in bad shape if she let her guard down even for a second. Liquid conducted electricity-or was it most electricity. Frowning she tried to think back to her chemistry classes and what liquids were insulators... Water if you removed all impurities... "Silicone oil," she gasped to herself... but could she really take advantage of that knowledge considering the fact that she had never seen silicone oil in her life and removing impurities was something she had never done.

"Mr. Cortez?" Annie called out to the shadowy figure, already kicking herself for her idiocy at bringing attention to her. "Is that you?"

Leviathan Cortez stumbled a moment, reforming his physical being now, a black mass now spindling into muscle, asphalt rigging into his new body. His mouth twitched, and Lev jutted his eyes up at Annie. "Yes. It is."
Leviathan suddenly dissipated, appearing directly in front of the hospital doors.
Annie was of no consequence now, or so Lev thought. She was simply another nuisance to be devoured..
But for now, the rest of the mutant population would make due. Leviathan threw his hand forward, sending a reverberation throughout the entirety of the building, every window suddenly exploding outward, every pane of glass rippling, then detonating, rain like forbid ice falling to the parking lot below...
Leviathan passed on through the metal of the archway, and began down the hall.

Eros soared, dropping below the speed of sound a moment, then lightening himself to drop down and near the hospital. He noticed Annie immediately, the changes in her appearance as well.
Then he heard the explosions, covering his face and ears with a yelp. Looking on, Eros almost cried out, seeing a true demon that was Lev walking on into the hospital.
"I'll slow him down.." Blitz spoke to no one in particular, jogging forward, slipping in behind Lev's wake of destruction. Eros stood, dumbfounded and lost in thought..
"Do you know a Lily Stinson?" Eros suddenly spurted out at Annie, eyes wide, hands spread out. "Or a Gidget?"

Freya stands and waves her hands in the air wildly, "No no no, I mean like a fist fight. I'll let Teshou worry about teaching you all that shadow mess. I'm going to teach you how to kick some a**. Y'see, there are two ways to fight in close quarters. One is with a weapon, and the other is without. You can't always depend on having a weapon handy, so you've got to learn to fight with your bare hands."

She holds up an open hand, facing it toward Trinity. "Hit my hand as hard as you can with just a punch. I'll observe, correct, and then we'll try again. Alright, go for it!"

Not entirely surprised to hear that he survived, Gidget slows her work down as she makes her explanation to Daisy. "Charles Ray is a nightmare man. He can make your worst fears come to life right there in front of you, or he can invade your dreams and put you in a nightmare you can never wake up from. He kidnapped me and my friends, and did this to me." She peeks up over the mound she is working behind and points to her prickly head and the scars that line her scalp in even intervals.

"As far as what kind of powers there are, the sky is the limit really. Shane tried to explain to me how they classify them differently, but I couldn't understand all of it. I've seen people who can make ice, control lightning, make acid from water, change the shape of their body, and even make the shadows do what they want them to do. I'm sure they have an entire catalog of the different powers that have been seen somewhere in this facility. Could you throw me that wrench on the table next to you? The one that say 1/4" on it?"

Before Teshoumaru can finish his strike against the metal beast, he is forced to retract his blade before it is cut off by the sudden disappearance of the shadow he was using. He pops out of a shadow inside the building, hoping to have escaped the gaze of Rod.

Staying silent he watches from afar as Leviathan makes his explosive entrance into the hospital. He decides that it is now or never. This monster has become to powerful to be killed by any conventional means. It was time to end this.

Teshoumaru makes a serious of hand signs, chanting as he does so. Over time he has come to learn that such things aren't really necessary, but it was the way he was taught by his father (who was a practitioner of the old ways). He dips his blade into his shadow and pulls it out. The shadow adheres to the steel like paint and it stays with it even after it leaves the shadow. Teshoumaru bares his teeth, which were now more canine in appearance. He was having to borrow ki from the beast within him just to maintain the shadow on his blade. He had only used this technique once before, and he had hoped to never have to do it again. The blade has now become a small portal into the shadow realm. Anything cut by it would be sucked into the toxic atmosphere. Not to say that it acts as a black hole, rather, if he were to cut a table in half...that the portion of the table that had made contact with the blade would be gone.

There is nothing that can stop the blade once it makes contact, save for stopping the person wielding it. He grips the hilt tightly and concentrates on his legs. He can feel some of the muscles start to change as his eyes and teeth have. Good, this will provide him with some much needed speed. He crouches slightly then bounds toward Cortez, snarling like a wolf. He bares his blade vertically, looking to split this monster in half.

Gidget smiles and takes the wrench from Daisy. The contraption that Gidget is working on looks like it is straight from "The Matrix." The chair itself looks almost like a dentists chair, but the thing behind it is a mess of metal, wires, and longs metallic prongs. Gidget starts fiddling with the contraption behind the chair again, tightening a nut.

"Well, it's all relative. Shane tells me that I space out whenever I'm 'in the zone.' I'll sometimes forget to eat or sleep. It other kinds of powers, like Annie's, are based on a persons physicality. Shane says that the energy we use for our powers is like the energy used for exercise: calories. Some people, like Mr. Cortez, aren't satisfied with the power that they wield. So they find ways to make themselves stronger through devious means."

Gidget pauses and thinks for a moment. "It's funny...how some of the changes aren't even physical. Sometimes it's mental or emotional. Annie has become a bit more aggressive, and Tansy isn't as timid as she used to be. Me...I'm sick of being scared and weak."

She makes one final twist and sighs while rubbing the sweat off of her brow with her forearm. She drops the wrench and flops back in the chair, wiggling and getting comfortable in it. Her smile now looks somewhat forlorn. "There is a pedal button next to your foot. Could you please step down on it?"

Gidget smiles sadly at Daisy. She didn't know Shane's true colors. If he hadn't hurt himself when he was younger, he would be more active than he is in helping the meta-humans.

She straightens her head when Daisy presses down on the pedal. Metal restraints clamp down on her ankles, wrists, waist, chest, and head. "No, not in the combustive firey way at least."

The contraption springs to life and drills a hole into the base of Gidget's skull. Her eyes roll onto the back of her head and her body begins to trash against the restraints. Her mouth moves involuntarily, like she is chewing on a very large piece of gum.

After the initial hole is made, several more arms appear and begin to clean the site of the hole. A few more arms work in between the cleaning ones. They hold hundreds of wires, chips, and small metal plates.

Gidget's body ceases it's nervous thrashing, now in a calmed stupor. It seems like forever, but it only takes an additional thirty seconds for a small plate to be screwed onto the back of her head. The plate has a circular entryway into it, giving access to the hole that was just made.

Finally, a single short metallic prong inserts itself into the access port. Gidget's eyes close and she gasps softly. Her eyes present with REM, like she is in an extremely vivid dream. They snap open and the prong retracts. The clamps come off and she slowly sits up on the table.

She rubs the back of her head where the access plate is and says with a nervous laugh. "That hurt a lot more than I thought it would."

^_^; "Oh right well, in that case, no I haven't there was no reason to...". When asked to throw a punch she threw her punch she did and like a beginner and hurt her thumb. She couldn't use her full capacity. This was far different than she had to defend herself earlier. Earlier it was much more solid and was harder to knock her down and very few weak points. Right now Trinity just did it, it was very amateur. She knew she could do better she just needed to learn how.

She excelled in her PE classes because she knew what she was doing, knew how to play the games. As for the world of combat, other than what she has seen in the movies, she doesn't have a clue how to do it. Though it was rather odd that she knew the defensive stance regarding how she never took combat training.

"ow!" she shakes her hand a little "Um.. I know I have more power than that... am I doing something wrong."
