"I'm not going to cower like I did when Kaimen sensei was killed. In Konoha, they taught us that you're trash if you leave a comrade to die. I WON'T BE DISHONORED TWICE!!"
His words were filled with venom as it was directed to Lina; Ren moved around her held out sword and charged into the fray with pure confidence at his side. The woman had forced herself out of the pain of Tier's attack when Ren decided to engage.
He jumped forward and slammed the ground with a fist as a long stone wall shot upwards between the woman's fire and Tier, before it reached him. Then he grasped the ground with his other hand and focused hard on Nekojiri's stone fixture, making it crumble into harmless small stones over Tier. He charged forwards again to get closer to the fight. Ren was clearly not afraid to die today.

Tier's yellow eye spotted the woman's forced actions as she spewed concentrated flames at the curved wall that spawned next to and over Tier. He assumed what was about to happen and was going to act accordingly.
"?!" Suddenly, another stone wall had appeared to block the fire, and Nekojiri's wall crumbled. His single eye fixated on Ren for a few seconds, realizing that this fight was about to get complicated fast.
Tier ceased the screaming attack and nodded at Ren. He shifted back into a shadow on the ground as he gained a speed buff to reach his target, Nekojiri. He was almost within melee range and was formulating an escape strategy should another one of Nekojiri's soldiers stepped in.

Lina just sighed as she watched Ren enter the fray. "Another Gorram nut who spouts words without realizing both sides of the meaning." she shook her head, tilting her head back to look at Ookamimaru. "You able to fight anywhere near normal in that state?" she asked as she planted her buster-sword like blade back into the ground while pushing the Rai and Hikari she had been building for the flashbang into the blade's turbines and runes, aiming for a triggered defense. "Because if not you better stay close to this sword unless you want to risk getting hit by something from outside that scythe's range"
With that her hand flew to the other blade, the great-sword and she started running, glancing at Tier and Neko before taking a two handed grip on her blade, forming Rai skates under her feet, and starting to spin like a top, her Rai armor encompassing herself and the blade and trailing behind, leaving it hard to distinguish just where the blade was in it's rotation. At the speed she was traveling her path put her between Nekojiri and Tier.

Ookamimaru reasoned that he would rather be living trash than a dead hero. He knew very much that he wouldn't stand a chance agains those foes, looking at Nekojiri's and the woman's attacks. It just happened so fast.
He would have tried to stop Ren, but he was gone before he could get a hold of him.
If the situation hadn't been so bad, he would probably have laughed at Lina's question. He would probably be able to fight "normally", but the other ones weren't normal, and clearly out of his league. He would probably be able to evade attacks at a certain level, but it was out of the question that he would get the chance to perform any kind of attack.
Demonstratively, he went to stand near the sword. Words weren't needed.
He wasn't actually sure about wether he would be able to use kaze in this state, and he immediately made work finding that out.

Neko narrowed his eyes at Ren as he intercepted the attack, but he didn't keep his gaze away from Tier for long. He saw him sink into the shadows and prepared for the blow, focusing his chakra into his armor, a barely-visible translucent sphere forming around him, the added energy giving it a faint blue sheen. He was letting his chakra flow through it at this point, so cracking through would be a tough job, but it also meant that he couldn't make any physical attacks himself.
He glanced at Lina, cursing under his breath. He took a few quick steps back, away from her path, and ready to bolt away if needbe.
Sandalphon drew her second scimitar and slashed towards Ren. She was too far away to actually hit him, however as she swung, she let loose a wave of intense heat, nearly invisible to the naked eye, and the Byakugan too, she was hoping. It was meant to do no more than sting and trip up his concentration. She turned to face the remaining two students, readying her second scimitar to loose another heat wave towards Ooka.

He was confused when she slashed the sword at him; clearly out of melee range. He did notice that she had utilized chakra for the attack before the fact, but then the wave of heat hit him and he almost tripped from running. It forced him to come to a halt.
Ren saw that the woman was going to attack again, except she was looking at Ookamimaru this time. The way she was holding the other scimitar hinted that much. He stomped the ground with his right foot and then twisted it in a 90 degree angle; aiming in front of the heat wave's path. A thick dirt wall spawned between the attacker and Ookamimaru as the wave of heat slammed into the wall.

Tier recognized the shield forming around Nekojiri. The shadow split into three blots on the ground; two of which continued to charge Nekojiri while the other strayed to the side. The two shadows reformed into Tier Krahe's while leaping forwards.
Artillery: Nation Detonation
The shadow clones collapsed into a powerful explosion, point blank in front of Nekojiri's shield.
Artillery: Infantry Destroyer
The other shadow reformed into Tier, holding the two short-swords in one hand while his other arm had transformed into an energy rifle. A triangle cone spawned in front of the barrel of the rifle as needles of chakra shot forth from it, aiming to pierce Nekojiri's armor.
If the shield had been destroyed, that is.

Lina's sword flew into the air, released from her grip mid-spin. The electricity already dissipating from the blade as it ascended. Lina looked both shocked and dizzy as she stopped spinning, dropping to the ground, one hand extended as if she had just poked the earth before quickly palming the ground to keep her from landing flat on her face. A small sliver of energy fading from just past where her finger landed, seemingly too small to notice, at most it would have taken as much raw ki as a single strike from a hyuuga's juuken.
Her blade chose this moment to come crashing to the ground somewhere on the opposite side of Neko, it's own energy also grounding out with the impact.

Ookamimaru had succeeded in finding out that it was possible for him to use kaze. He should be careful though, that he wouldn't use up all his chakra, because now Tobu wasn't here to support him with his. He'd started to inject the air with his chakra, making sure the already treated air stayed within the reach of him to be able to control it, wich had expanded -thanks to his training- to a radius of aproximately 4 metres.
Meanwhile, he tried to follow the attacks going on around him. They just came so fast, and he didn't at all understand them. He actually felt entirely out of place.
He was particulary interested in the firewoman's attack though. She seemed to be able to hit Ren without having him within the reach of her sword. The same attack would have hit himself if Ren hadn't protected him. He held up his hand in a "thank you" fashion, regardless of the fact if he would see it or not. He didn't want to get him out of his concentration.
The attack made him think. What could it have been? What if she used chakra trough the sword, and used it to send it away? It was true that his scythe didn't have much reach. More than a sword, but still, Lina was right about that. But what if it was possible to use it as a conduct for steering air?
He decided not to try anything out just yet, to not provoke anyone, but he silently experimented by moving his scythe through the air injected with his chakra.

Neko' shield shimmered against the blasts, his hair blowing wildly behind his head. The shadows splitting around him hadn't gone unnoticed, and he was always a man who was well acquainted with the concept of getting the hell out of Dodge, so, with a quick turn of his feet, he quickly sank into the ground. however, he wasn't quite quick enough to completely dodge Tier's two-pronged attack. About a foot and a half away from Nek's body, Tier could feel the swords hit the remnants of the shield, and just as they started to sink through, aiming to pierce the back of Neko's shoulders, the shield gave way. He was sinking too fast, thankfully. They would whiff over his head just before he was completely underground.
The amount of electricity in the air hadn't gone unnoticed either, so Neko decided to sink a bit deeper than usual, hoping to scrape by the worst of whatever Lina had planned, and also hoping that there wouldn't be an extraordinary amount of heat created by the blast, to crisp him while he was hiding.
Sandalphon dashed out of the way of the three titans clashing, towards the two students. She was readying another attack, but stopped mid-swing, irritated, and prepared to dodge any oncoming attacks.
Neko's voice rang out in everyone's head just a split-second after the woman stopped her attack, exasperated.
"Damn it all, if I wanted to fight you, why the Hell do you think I haven't called out the seven brutes I have hidden away in the bushes? Throw down your weapons, I've yet to truly draw mine. This is bigger than the both of us."

Lina hesitated, the energy saturating the air was minimal compared to the strange spirals of her Rai flowing through the earth. Her plan had been to detonate several dozen micro Rai barriers along a minor lay-line to blow Neko's footing out from under him. Still, the command of throwing down one's weapon after everything was already in a FUBAR state in her opinion wasn't something she would normally agree to.
"I would strongly suggest you all listen to him, and if not dropping your weapons at least get out of here" Lina stayed crouched, the facade she had been wearing moments earlier gone, replaced by the cold emotionless mask she had started to wear during battle. The surrounding her started to chill.
She glanced at Tier and Ren, focusing on Ren then shifting her eyes to one of the pinpricks of Rai-infused-ki along the lay-lines. 'You're an earth user, you should understand what would happen to someone under or above ground if I go through with this right?' she addressed both of them "Retreat and regroup, I'll be right behind you"

Through the kicked-up debris, Tier saw Nekojiri submerge underground and then noticed Lina's attack set-up underground.
"Sellss your deception furrther, fufufu." Tier replied out loud. He slowly backed away with the energy rifle still pointed, moving it side to side as if expecting Nekojiri to suddenly appear again at another spot.
His backing away turned into running sideways while still holding his rifle and gaze towards the forest.
Tier eventually passed Ren and Ookamimaru, "Move."

Ookamimaru didn't hesitate when he heard Lina's mental message. He left the sword and backed away from the attackers. He made sure though, that the air he had so carefully injected with his chakra stayed with him as he ran. That would take less energy than injecting all new air.

Ren looked over to Lina from the woman and then to the earth. He didn't fully understand what Lina was going to pull off but he took her word for it. He started to back off slowly and turned to run after Tier passed him.
