Luke really wasn't in the mood to keep talking, especially since he had a lot to say, but he owed her big time, there was no denying that. He sighed before continuing, "You were wondering why he can still make smart zombies without the stuff in you too, right? Well, there seems to be a strip of DNA or something that is only found in some people. It does absolutely nothing, but he apparently figured out that this DNA is compatible with the technology he was using to create us. I believe that Kay was the first one he noticed had this DNA, but he probably didn't realize how important it was until he started on the others without the vital fluid. Only the ones with it would keep there minds, no matter what he did, the only thing it did to the others was slightly increase their strength and speed."

Kimmi winced and remembered the too strong and too big zombies that had been sicked on her. "Yea I kinda ran into a couple of those." She hissed a bit as she rubbed the spot where she had bitten. "Don't suppose you know anything I can do about this." She lifted her shirt enough to show him the bite. "It's been almost 24 hours and it isn't healing at all. The infection isn't spreading, but it burns when I'm close to an undead and something else. I think they used something to lure Kay in to the dessert, it's hard to explain, it was like an odd buzzing in the back of my head and it got louder, then stopped."

Luke studied the bite mark for a moment before answering, "Well, what did you do to keep it from spreading in the first place?" he asked, thinking about it. He was trying to recall of the information he had gathered, plus what he had learned from Kimmi...

Kimmi frowned. "I didn't do anything. Kay held me down on the floor and stabbed me with a needle full of her blood." She muttered with a slight wince.

Luke tilted his head to the side in thought, "Interesting..." he said, "And so her blood stopped the spreading of the virus?" he asked, more to himself, then to her. He was putting something together in his mind here, largely based on what Kimmi had told him.

Kimmi nodded. "It pushed it back some too, it had spread pretty far when she stabbed me." She pointed pretty far away from the bite mark to indicate where it had been. "It's not pushing it back any further, but it's not spreading either."

"Well, it sounds like something in her blood neutralized the virus, but it didn't kill it." Luke said, still thinking about it developing theory, "This means that she can be bitten and nothing would probably happen... just like nothing would happen if a zombie was bitten by another zombie... and she has a lot of the same things I do, except for the fluids... she is the only one with both" he was murmuring this, sort of thinking out loud, "Perhaps it has to do with that? Even though she is a lot like me, a bite from her would not turn anyone, obviously, and her skin remains the same..." then he spoke louder, to Skie now, "Could it be that the fluids that you and your brother have, when combined, form not exactly a cure, but a neutralizer?"

"A neutralizer? A way to be immune to the virus without actually catching it first?" She asked. Biting her lip she touched her sais again. "I'm not sure, but that would explain why he hasn't created anymore living copies of Kay wouldn't it. I have the pure sample still, another was bitten, Gracie. She's only a little girl, but Kay did the same thing to her. One big difference though, she healed. No bite mark." She said.

Luke would have shrugged but he was trying not to move at all to not jar his head, "Maybe she has the DNA strip and you don't, if its the two fluids and there compatible with that DNA maybe its even more effective with those who have it. Maybe then... for those people, it is a cure?" he said this a little to excitedly because if that was true then it would work on him, but he doubted it. "It probably only works for those who haven't full transformed though..." he said doubtfully, "It's probably just more effective..."

Kimmi frowned and looked at him. "You want to be human again?" She said it more as a statement. With a decisive nod she pulled an empty hypo needle from her pouch and unscrewed the little capsule that contained the medication. Holding it in her teeth she pulled her sai and jammed it into the floor quickly removing the vial. She unscrewed the tube and poured a single dose into the hypo tube, being incredibly careful to not spill a drop. She couldn't replace this stuff.
Closing the tube she replaced it in the sai and screwed in the hypo. Replacing her sai she got to her feet. "Right then, only one way to test it." Without waiting for his approval she jammed it in his neck. "You're already dead, not like it can kill you."

Luke had started to say that there was a difference between zombies risen from the dead and those that had been infected when alive, especially his new breed.... but she had jammed the needle into his neck before he got more then "Theres-" out.
At first he felt absolutely nothing. "Is it doing anything?" he said, looking at his hands, he still felt the same.... about 5 minutes later he shivered all of a sudden and his hands started shaking a little bit, and he felt weird. "Is it doing something now!?"
He kept getting random shivers go up and down his spine... whether it was turning him back or not, it was doing something.
[[I'm going to go with it turning something back a little, like Kimmi could notice a slight change in skin tone spread from the injection sight, more human like, but still greyish and her burning around the undead form the bite might lessen some, but over all not toooo much happens...]]

"You're skin, it's not so undeadish." She explained in her own way of saying it wasn't as gray looking. "The bite, it doesn't burn so bad." She reached out and touched his skin. "Your warm, but not as warm. That's why your shivering, to someone who isn't over heated it's cold in here. That's why I brought that, I didn't think about the undead thing making me too hot." She said indicating the pink hoodie on the floor. "I'm not the scientist so I'm not sure, the dosage may be too little, I only have the one tube and we would need some of it to recreate it."
She pointed to Spencer's body. "The code dies when we do. His half is inactive, so even if we had a scientist and a lab." She shrugged. "Only my half even exists now."

Once he had calmed down some, Luke said, "Not true, Kay, theres still Kay, she has both in her blood. Isn't there a lab in here somewhere?" he sounded distracted though, he was looking at his hands and arms. He had finally stopped shivering too, and his body was seemingly warming up but he knew he was just getting used to the new temperature, which was still a lot warmer then normal. His the nerves in his skin were still tingling, unused to whatever what just happened and the hairs on his arms were on end.
"I wonder if my bite is still lethal?" he thought aloud, not that that was something he really wanted to test...
Khana had finally dozed off after what seemed like hours, and she had confusing dreams. Random images flashed across her mind, a lot of them were about Luke, but there was also her family, her parents and her little brother... their house burning... then back to when she was younger around 10, and then the first time she and Luke kissed, it was randomly jumping around all over the place, and she was restless in her sleep.

Kimmi arched an eyebrow at him and shook her head. "Kay would kill me." She said simply. "Well she'd stab me again, then she'd kill me." She corrected. "Um yea there's a lab somewhere, but no one here is a scientist. While I understand most of it, I don't really know what to do. I'm just a hacker and good with stitches." She said with a shrug. "One of the labs is on this floor actually if you want to check it out. But we should probably leave that for tomorrow." She commented with a yawn and a slight stretch, wincing a bit when the bite pulled. "Not to mention I do not want Kay figuring out that we snuck away from camp. She'll be pissed at me."
