No entiendo los verbos reflexivos. Por ejemplo, despertarse. Si hablo "se desterto," esa es "I woke him" le es el pronombre "him." Y los pronombres uso son "me, te, se, nos, y vos?

Tambièn, necesito hablar con otro hispanohablantes.

no, "se despertó" means he/she/it woke up
Voy a buscar un libro de gramática para explicar mejor los pronombres reflexivos, en estos momentos no sé cómo explicarlos sweatdrop

ano rofl . Make sure you use ñ, not using accents changes the whole word. There's a great sticky on it in the main forum.

Lucky you, I finally understand them. Reflexives are things a person does to themself. Like the word despertarse. It basically means to wake one's self. To say "I wake myself" conjugate to yo form, destpierto, since I am doing the waking, and and put "me" infront of the verb, because the person I'm waking is myself. This creates "me despierto." Conjugated in the tu form it becomes "te despiertas." Notice the Object and verb ending agree. El/ella form is se depierta. I hope I explained it well.

I wouldn't actually call them verbs done to oneself; they aren't always really done to oneself.

It's just that they're not done to anything other than oneself. Reflexives are, as far as I can tell, a rather irregular subset of intransitives. smile

well, but the most common use is that one that apiyo explained, it's the same us as in french with the verbes reflechis: je me lave, je me léve, je me rasse

(in fact I was looking for my french lessons of verbes réflèchis rofl but apiyo got it before me :p)

I know, but some people get confused because they think all reflexives are that way and protest when they're not. My definition is more...all-encompassing and more accurate. razz

They're the same basic idea as the Russian reflexives too.
