I got so sick of people camping for a nuke in that game that I sold it. The kill streak reward system was a good idea, but the actual rewards were really just s**t. If we're gonna' lose, just lose. If we're gonna' win, let us do it properly.

Just saw a Metro 2033 trailer. I was thoroughly impressed.

Actually, Mat, my knight in digital camo body armour has told me over MSN that it is an ACR.

Metro 2033 came through the post today from Amazon.
It's cool. Graphics are very nice, but not perfect. Still some obvious misshaps like hands passing through things and not being able to see your character's legs when you look down. But there is a bit of an RPG feel about it despite what they said, in the way of a purchase system and free movement around stations between missions where you can talk to certain people, and make choices such as giving money to beggars or not.

Isn't money represented by auto cannon rounds or something?

By standard 5.56mm rounds. But pre-war. Still shiny and still powerful. Unlike Metro-made bullets, which are powder put into home-made shells. You can use them as rounds in your machine guns, and they're more powerful than 'dirty' bullets.
It's down to your own judgment, obviously, but they last as long in a market when you're short on standard ammo and gas mask filters as they would in a machine gun.

How's the voice acting? Like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. or better?

Never played Stalker.
I'd say it's good, overall. Though in some places you can tell they're put on Russian accents. But you have the choice of making the voices either Russian or English.

Really now? I'll have to go with Russian then. I might not understand them without subs, but it's a whole lot more fitting.
