This chara is male, but that doesn't say much about his player, right? ~:Curls up on Ichiro's shoulders then laughs a bit while he brrrows:~

Caelorum Length is a bullshit excuse. Length is NOT key. Length is bullshit. Do you think filibustering in the Senate instead of actually discussing laws is how good laws are created? For those who don't know, there is often no time limit on discussions in the Senate for one speaker as there is in the house. If you can "take the floor" and start speaking, you can say whatever the ******** you want. It doesn't have to be in any way related to the issue at hand. You can stand up and read a freaking book or newspaper, and as long as you keep speaking, as long as you keep that length and momentum up, no one can stop you. It's called filibustering, and it's used to kill laws from the opposition by simply giving them no time to respond.
Smells like the same kind of T1 crap or what Ertai's going on about. Length is nothing. Depth, detail, ********, even the ability to concisely express actions, emotions, and thoughts in words is MUCH MORE appreciated in literature. For those that don't know, concise means "expressing much in few words." Make sense?
No one wants to read eighty freaking pages of a person taking one action if you could get across the magnitude in one paragraph. Length is not the sign of something being good writing or roleplaying, just like "using big words" is no sign of it, either. Ever heard of Roosevelt and his Fireside chats? He used layman's terms and just as well he got across what he needed to about the Depression to the public.
This is a battle. This is roleplaying. You're not writing a book here, so we don't care if you want to describe crap with fifty paragraphs when it ends up accomplishing the same, stupid end that you get across in ONE.
The only thing I support length for in battles is one-liners, so to speak, don't cut it, either. It gives your opponent too much opporunity to act on their own. You describe everything you can about yourself to leave few openings, but you do so practically, not in prose. Again, we're not here to read. If we wanted to read, we get offline and, duh, read a ******** book with a good plot, characterization, and all that other good stuff--maybe something that's actually been published? Maybe something written for the purpose of entertainment, and not boosting someone's ego on an internet forum?
I love how you preach hatred for lenght...than you go a post a bitching spree that long? No one is gonna read it but me! Ha Ha Ha
Shut up

I forgot, let me check if that would ever pass in any debate.
But, meh, I actually expected less. It's the internetz, after all.

Cael, the length thing is why no one in their right mind uses T1 fighting any more. It got old and annoying. Nowadays everyone uses T2, which includes things like... rules, and common sense.
