In reference to page 914:
My parents are actually... pretty cool when it comes to manga and anime. They know I enjoy the things for the stories themselves, so they just give me the go-ahead to read it and whatnot. Despite being a 15 year old teenage male, I'm actually not all that much of a guy for sexual desire or anything, so it doesn't really phase me if there's any kind of porn in the books at all. I pretty much just read the story and move on.

*wanders around after just waking up* thats it.... I'm going to have such a hard time sleeping tonight because of that stupid red-eye flight! This morning was funny though. I was flying in to Islip on Long Island, and I couldnt stop laughing because of the name. I have learned that me sleep deprived is funny. But Hey, I have internet connection. I'm happy, cause is raining. so we cant go anywhere. WEll because of the internet, not the rain.

My parents are okay when I read 13+ manga, but anything above that has to be read by them first. sweatdrop

i got into sailor moon and ranma back in high school (the 13-17 age range...no middle school) and then stopped. my anime and manga addiction came on full force when i finished college, so there was really no concern for parental censorship there ^_~
but i suppose my parents were pretty okay with the reading materials i had as a kid. maybe it's just because they never really bothered to take a peek in our bookshelves, and anything shown on tv is okay with them. as far as they were concerned, the only things my siblings and i read are archies and sweet valley books razz
if i do have kids, i probably won't limit their reading material. but then again, i don't have kids (yet), so i might change my position somewhere down the road 3nodding

My mom has never restricted what I could read.
My mom also let me be an obsessive South Park fan when I was 13.
I think I turned out okay... >_>
Personally, I think that restricting things just makes kids want them more. Like ranting about how bad drinking and smoking is just makes kids want to drink and smoke to be rebelious. Making sexual stuff a sin just makes kids want to break the rules more, so it's better to be open about it.
I think I'll let my future children read stuff like Chobits after they hit puberty, after they've had some good talking to's.

I don't think it's so much the restrictions that make certain kids want it more...
In all seriousness, I think the kid's just plain stupid for wanting sex / drugs / et cetera. Most of it is common sense to not so such things that are harmful, or in the case of sex, until they're older. If they want to keep at it though, they're stupid.
My two cents without the loooooong rant I usually post on stupid teens. <<;

Konami: I think Meri works on edits from 9 PM-12 AM PST, which would be 12 AM-3 AM on the east coast, so she probably hasn't started on them yet. 3nodding
