Wantcookie Owwin Well seeing all this art made me want to try to draw again, until I picked up a pencil and realized that I have been drawing for 15 years and still have no capacity to improve my skill. Owwin. Have you ever read Dominic Deegan? Good comic. But this guy has been drawing a comic every day for about eight years now. His artistic abilities haven't changed much at all. xd People criticize him for this, but I honestly don't care, because the comics are still enjoyable to me. Don't worry, just draw. If you don't like it, burn it, and go for something different later. If you don't do anything, then a talent is going to waste. Trust me, I know. There is no thing as artistic talent. There is only skill, and mine never improves. Over 15 years I hate it just as much as I always have. It is probably the thing I hate the most. My lack of capacity to grow and improve is depressing. I seriously am at my most hateful and sad after I try to draw. I just can't create. I can't. I wasn't built for it. It isn't part of my programming as a human being.

Wylr already made yours but alright! Also you don't have to be Poison type. There is Rock, Ground, Fighting and Bug to choose.
I saw you post that, but decided Poison would be best and just didn't respond, can I have cute Pokemon. Sorry... sweatdrop
I think you'll find cuter pokemon with bug cause poison is full of skunks, moths, snakes, bats, and sludge. xD
I think it is cute! Zach told me some that I like that are poison, but said that Reg was making his own and thus would be different.
I cant do it all by myself my creativity is reaching the max!

I think I have been proud of two drawings. The one I did of Cookie from that freebie thread, and the one unfinished one I did of Ninshmux or whatever.
@ Kath: Thanks, but the lines on that could be much cleaner. Also no matter how good thing I draw is, it never looks like it does in my mind. I just cant. That is what makes me mad the most.

Isn't talent something you're born with, but skill something you learn through practice? You're contradicting yourself. I'm usually upset when I draw too, cause I'm not as good as I'd like to be, but if I look back at a drawing I did years ago, I can definitely tell where I've improved. You just need to be more analytical and less down on yourself about it. You don't like what you draw? Fix it. The easiest way to find flaws is to mirror the image. I'd invest in some tracing paper if you want to improve; since it's easy to see through, it's easy to mirror. Flip, trace, fix, repeat until nothing looks 'wrong' to you. That's what a lot of artists do to make their pieces perfect.

Alright... and if I remember Bug is super effective against Psychic. Lots of Poison types double as Bug, too. Makes them a nasty force to be reckoned with.

Well if you keep pointing out your flaws in drawing then you can't get any better. I am extremely critical when it comes to my music. I can play stuff that no one else in my section/band can play. But then again if I miss a note or mess up a rhythm then I think it's no good. I do one of two things; Fix it, or live with it. Not everything you do will be perfect, but that doesn't mean it isn't something good or even great to someone else.
However critical you will be on yourself is your fault. It may seem mean, but get over it. Others enjoy it, if you don't have the "capacity" to grow and improve then stay with where you are at and make the best of it

I like bugs, but they're so darn weak statwise... Not counting Scyther and Scizor.
Drapion is also pretty good, but I consider him a Tertiary bug.

You can't go back and erase a missed note. If you screw up in a performance, it's there, everyone heard it, and there's nothing you can do about it. I guess that's a bonus for you, Owwin. If you screw up a certain part, you can try again and again until you get it just right and nobody will be any the wiser.

It's just not worth the effort. I can draw for hours upon hours straight, and I only end up tired, anxious and mad. It is too much strain on my body. And the thing is, no matter how much other people like it, I am trying to share what is in my head, but I can't. It's like the window is tinted and cracked and teh image just comes out wrong.
