Oassu snickered seeing Zadina tense up at having Cid on his head not wanting to disturb him "Well a heavy metal bow wouldn't be bad for whacking the opponent with if they got too close still I didn't know you had a book on Excalibur" he said.
Jeckhart nodded waving a hand removing an invisibility spell from his small suitcase that followed him "Commander Kimino made me pack since I'd be with you for a little while, do you have any rules about staying here?" he asked.
Zadina smiled "He's doing really good but that sounds cool Miss Hebal I bet Sir Gil's armour must have something funky like that in it along with all it's secret little compartments" he said maintaining his balance so as not to upset Cid.
Gil frowned blocking the shockwaves with ease while the rocks and pebbles bounced harmlessly off his armour "I'm no weak fancy-boy Garif your dust and pebbles are worthless against this armour" he said spinning two swords around before digging them into the ground and ripping them upwards sending dual fissures careening towards Aechotiau.

Alpha nodded hopping up the steps and back through the trap door "Just leave the luggage there and we'll move it in with the bed later. As for ground rules... first, don't distract the driver or complain about journey times. Second no killing eachother or invading peoples privacy, pretty basic stuff really. Third, don't go in the engine room without permission or the deck unless I tell you it's ok to for health and safety reasons. Apart from that, clean up after yourself if you make a mess and try to enjoy yourself. Does that sound good" he sighed not wanting to have sounded too much like a boring old lecturer.
Hebal gasped and let out a small "oooh" at the words legendary weapons mentioned by Felina "I remember hearing about those. They are mega powerful hyper ultimate weapons of awesome. What I don't get is why have 12 legendary weapons and not 12 legendary suits of armour. Bet Gil's magical compartment armour would be a part of it" she giggled reaching up and petting Cid now he was back by Zadina "I would guess that most archers wouldn't have the physical strength to hold and aim a metal bow thinking about it" she added after finally having thought about it"
Aechotiau spun around digging his own blade into the ground sending one wider fissure straight at the ones made by Gil forcing the ground to clash with enough force to create a small mound in the middle of the arena "Well excuse me, but some of us have to train in endurence. Can't all have a fancy suit to ensure our survival" he growled before disappearing behind the pile of earth.

Felina frowned a little surprised by the small mountain of earth now sitting in the arena "Thats because not every warrior likes to wear armour or can afford to get the specially made stuff. Most people I know reject metal bows in favour of sniping rather than direct combat, anyway the point was that shiny isn't always the best. And seriously, the palace library goes on underground to be like the size of this arena so naturally theres going to be at least one book somewhere about the weapons"

Oassu nodded "I get by without armour but then again I'm generally lucky enough to not get hit, facing the Agralian rifleman back in Yithra was like a thief's worst nightmare." he sighed "With no armour a bullet will just rip right through you" he grunted.
Zadina frowned with realisation "I hope the library was ok after Alex raised it out of the ground" he said "Still if it is we should probably see if Gilgamesh would like to read that book" he said to Felina.
Jeckhart nodded moving his luggage into the room before following Alpha up the stairs "No those rules sound reasonable enough to me, what time is dinner held at? Or do you not normally have dinner on the airship?" he asked glancing at the kitchen with curiosity.
Gilgamesh guffawed "Hah! You question my strength? I worked hard to get where I am, experience my effort" he said dashing forward and shoulder tackling the mound causing it to fall towards Aechotiau.

Alpha snickered shutting the door behind Jeckhart "We eat when we feel hungry to put it simply and 90% of the time when we're eating its when the ship is landed and we're wandering around our destination. Though if you do cook your not expected to do so for everyone else... that said you might possibly be able to convince one of the better cooks like Mari or Hayate to help out. Though if Hebal offers to help I wouldn't advise agreeing. Lovely lass but terrible chef with exploding food"
Hebal nodded shuddering a little "Yeah spears vs guns are totally horrible fights, can only block so many assuming your fast enough to block any. Was your library ok by the way Felina? Maybe for the drgon festival as a gift you could get Gil that book. From you and Zadina" she cheerfully siggested.
Aechotiau shrugged apprearing directly behind Gil "Well as you can see I still have a few tricks up my sleave though you must admit when you wear a suit like that all the time you have to wonder, is it the suit or are you just good a surviving. Perhaps you'll remove your armour and set the record straight one day" he answered as he swooped his sword upwards at Gil's back.

Felina sighed remembering the state she heared the library had been left in "Apparently the place got ripped in two and all the books on the 5th floor just disappeared since it was everything below that stayed on the ground away from the city. And I can't blame you thieves for hating the riflemen, those guns make such a horrid loud noise when they go off and I've seen dads bullet wound from the battle at Yithra. Wasn't a pretty sight"

Oassu frowned "Your father got shot? He's lucky to be alive if you ask me, bullets can stay in the body which can create complications that white magic can't even solve" he said frowning as he saw Aechotiau reappear "Wonder how he did that" he said.
Jeckhart nodded "I'm sure her food is not that bad, still I am going out into the city for a while I shall be back before nightfall" he sighed putting on his coat and moving to the door "Unless you have anything else you need to tell me?"

Zadina sighed "That's the shame about the library I spent a great deal of time there still perhaps it'll be fixed with time, and we couldn't get Sir Gilgamesh the book permanently we only have the one proper book dedicated to the legendary weapons so we couldn't take it out of the library" he said.
Gil frowned spiralling his arms and swords behind him to catch the blade barely "Perhaps you've not heard the stories, I've not always travelled in armour" he said allowing the force from Aechotiau's swing to push himself safely away from Aechotiau and turn to face him.

Alpha scratched his head in thought "Maybe you could come back in a couple of hours. I just sent word out for people to come here later so to meet you which means really you should be present when I announce you joining us. Apart from that have fun, see the sights do some shopping and whatever else your wanting to do"
Hebal gasped a little saddened "Aww but your dad seemed fine when we saw him, where abouts was he shot? Bullets are easy enough to remove depending on where the injury is right Felina" she asked for comfirmation "Maybe Mr. Aechotiau is secretly a ninja garif person which would explain the sneaky trick move" she suggested not having much idea as to how it was done either.
Aechotiau grunted taking an extra step back "I never even heared of you this time last week to be honest and almost everything to do with you that I have heared is about your arms and armour" he shrugged in sending a series of shockwaves aimed specifically at the arms on Gil's left then shifted his body around to directly strike at his opponants right arms.

Felina shook her head unaware as to whether not not Zadina knew of the injury "Dad only got shot on the arm. Nothing that couldn't be healed or covered up with a few long sleeved robes. The library however is probably going to cost several hundred thousand to restore, guess its a good job the science and nature section was on that floor, the most boring of all the subjects. Oh and at best we could get the good bits of the books translated and reproduced for Gil" she pointed out to Zadina knowing it would at least need to be translated.

Oassu nodded "Well that's ok but I'm surprised they got close enough to hit him battle must've been closer than I thought" he said "Still won't the whole science and nature section being destroyed make it harder to rebuild a laboratory that goes far under the ground?" he said resisting a snicker at the irony. Zadina sighed hearing the book was damaged "Yes the legendary weapons are all incredibly old which is why we Elves have books on them all being around for so long" he said frowning at Aechotiau "Seems everyone with swords seems to have some strange form of force-based ranged attack we mages will need to develop some kind of appropriate countermeasure" he noted. Gil's eyes narrowed swinging his left weapons with force to cut right through the shockwaves and bash Aechotiau aside as he dived at Gil's right arms before spiralling elegantly on the spot to rush after Aechotiau swinging his bottom and middle swords up in a follow up attack. Jeckhart nodded "I will be back you needn't worry, not like I have a place to stay or anything" he sighed stepping out the door for a wander.

Hebal shrugged "Libraries are boring as is science so and nature can't be learned by books so its no great loss, I mean imagine if the fiction section had gone missing or all the pretty picture books. Now that would have been a disaster. But at least your dads ok. Might be a little stiff but perfectly fine in the long term"
Aechotiau dived narrowly missing a strike fro Gil's lower blades. He placed his sword in the ground using it to help get back up on his feet quicker. Deciding it was time to try a slightly different strategy he took several steps back waiting for Gil to try a follow up attack.

Felina tutted at Hebal a little surprised by her comment "Science and nature are very important once you get past all the boring bits of text. It helps us come up with more ways to look after our forests and developing new spells. Though most of the research carried out takes place in the arcane university rather than the royal palace so not really. That library is just for our private viewing"

Oassu nodded "Yeah Science isn't exactly elves' strongest point, moogles and humans have the leading area for that" he said with a hint of pride "Though I suppose dwarves have science pretty well...but only when it really comes to weapons" he said with a shrug.
Zadina frowned "Magic is our strongest point but yes it would be really sad if the fiction section would be destroyed but every book lost is a tragedy since it's the royal library there's some really rare books in there sometimes the only copy ever" he said.
Gil frowned getting bored of Aechotiau's reluctance to fight aggressively "Fine taste my overflowing force!" he said extending his arms and pointing the blades outwards before spinning around rapidly until he was a mere whirl of metal that hurtled towards Aechotiau.

Hebal shrugged "Would still rather a world of pretty pictures rather than boring study all the time, I hope your adding lots of pictures to your book Zadina" she recommended before whistling to Cid "Viera don't do much science. But we do nature... if potion and poison and trap making count as science then I guess we do a little bit at least"
Aechotiau paused for a brief second watching carefully Gil's movements, specifically his feet "How graceful, perhaps you should done ballet" he muttered slamming his sword into the ground creating a large fissure directly in Gil's path to briefly throw him off balence while spinnng. Moving in and taking this opportunity Aechotiau rushed forward swinging his blade upwards successfully knocking out one of the blades from a lower arm and a short way across the arena.
