if a guy somehow has something to do in another room when you walk in that means he probabaly doesnt want anything to do with you right?

Could mean he's busy, or that he really does have something he has to do in another room. He might not have seen you... It doesn't always mean he doesn't want anything to do with you. You should just ask. remember when you assume you make an a** out of U and ME.

its been like that since I told him i liked him
and Im getting chewed out by a friend who has no clue and being accused of being the akward one when I havent been able to say a thing to him

Then he might just not be sure how to act around you. Try going after him, and telling him while you still like him, you don't want to pressure him too much. Ask him to just be your friend, or tell him you don't expect anything 'right now'.
Remember, guys mature more slowly then girls. When a Guy is unsure he might get bad suggestions from his male friends and do it, you have to be patient and wait for him, if you really want to make an impression.
