"I see" Tony said. He wasn't too keen on the idea of jumping for a helicopter, but it was the only way. Oh well.



"You're the one who's hungry" Anthony said.

"We got you now!" The commander said. Suddenly, Laura's phone started ringing. She held out her hand with her pointer finger up.

"One second." She said, then picked it up. "Hello?... Lollypop?! ... ... ... Where the hell do you think I am?!... Yes damn it! Use your f****** brain! We know you have one! ... ... That would be nice! ... ... ... How long. ... Just do it!" Laura yelled into her phone the hung up.

"Who the hell was that?" The commander asked.

"You don't need to know." Laura replied with a smirk.

Laura turned towards the window, pulled her knife out of her boot and threw it, shattering the window. She looked at her watch "Ten... nine..."

"Don't just stand there! Get her!" The commander yelled. Laura ran over towards the window and smiled.

"There it is!" She smiled cutely. She blew a kiss to the commander and jumped out the window. She barely managed to make it onto the flat surface of large, slow moving mechanical glider Lawliet sent her way. As soon as she got balanced, she carefully scooted over towards the grips and held on for her dear life as it's speed started to increase.

The glider circled around and continued to fly. They barely dodged the flying helicopter. "Holy **** Lawliet! Are you trying to get me killed?" Laura asked as the glider was picking up speed. Eventually, when she was far enough away from the building, the glider swopped down low and she jumped off, rolling on the ground. "Ouch... pain..." She muttered sitting up and breathing hard. "I better get back home before the government finds me or worse... I wouldn't be surprised if they cut off the whole city, except for the fact that they knew I was here. Maybe I should take a side trip to the Caribbean or something." She sighed, standing up and walking off. She noticed her side and arm were scraped, but ignored the stinging pain.

Sage Delton entered the police station presided over by Police Chief Arthur Rivers. At the front desk, and later at the security station, Delton had flashed his FBI credentials, gaining immediate access. Down this hallway, through that door, past rows of overworked, underpaid, minimal staff. Iris, Rose, and Beans, three bright and somewhat comical employees, were all prevented from returning to this office for three different reasons. It was a saddening thought, Delton thought. But not his problem.

Once Sage Delton reached Arthur's office, he leaned forward and gave a discreet rap with his knuckles. The gun that Delton possessed was hidden under his suit, above his left breast, and his heart, in a shoulder holster. When Arthur opened the door, he would find a black-haired man in a suit without a tie--someone that did not much care for appearances, perhaps. The shoes were black but unpolished. They weren't specifically mistreated, just not spiffed to shiny perfection. Delton's expression told you in a glance that he did not care about you, only himself and his job--have a good day.

Laura took a cab and started going home. She called Lawliet again.

"What the hell were you thinking? You almost crashed me!" She demanded.

"Sorry. I apologise." He replied. "Actually, I got a picture on the camera... my God..."

"What is it?" Laura asked, irritated.

"You probably don't want to hear this, but... the insignia on it was the same on Felipe's weaponry. Chances are he owned the copter, if now the whole building. Tony could have been in there." Lawliet said.

"WHAT?!" Laura yelled into the phone.

"Just ignore it. I promised not to get involved." He replied. Laura rubbed her head.

"Damn... this day just keeps getting worse and worse..." She muttered.

"Just get home. K? I'll fry the trackers. We'll talk it over when you get back. We may have to temporarily transfer you to a different city." He replied.

Iris walked over to Claire and hugged her, "Shh...Shhh..you're alright now...." she rocked Claire back an forth. Iris could almost feel Claire's helplessness.

Rose sighed, "I'm driven between hunger and wantingn to sleep with you. I can't decide which one."
