People can see ghosts or spirits. Ghosts and spirits are presences.

I am not a ghost, however. I am a physical being, thus you cannot "witness" my presence. If I were a ghost, you would win. I am not, and thus I win. You cannot convince me otherwise.

Consider this: Some people believe in auras and believe in people having them. Some people believe they can see these auras. Thus they can witness presence. Besides, one of the definitions of "witness" is to experience something. So by your own words, someone can experience your presence. I win. You lose. Read number two and behold your lose-osity.
