Tsurai turned around. "Why?"

He hung his head wearily. "You don't need them anymore. You're not a DuPloy, now." He paused. "Unless there's something redeeming about them that you want to keep. Something you haven't told me."

Tsurai stood, dumbfounded. "Uhh... We could melt them or something? They're steel."
He turned his back to Isiah, looking for the glint of metal. Finally finding it, he walked over. "I don't know.. I've just.. Always had them as long as I can remember."

He frowned. "That's never been a good reason to keep anything." He was dead serious about that- his mother had kept these /horrid/ drapes in the kitchen for years for the same reason.
[[Sorry. Drapes. Had to do it.]]

"Sure it is." Tsurai bent over and grabbed the tags, jogging back to Isiah. "You still have your.. Uh..."
Tsurai stuffed his hands in his pockets. "Well, I'm sure you keep something from your childhood. You keep your cellphone."

"The cellphone wasn't a symbol of all the evil I was forced to go through in my youth. It's just something with my ex boyfriend's voice on it. That's different. Positive, sentimental value." He stuck his tongue out. Tsurai could have mentioned ol' prince albert, had he known.. but Isiah had grown fond of the royalty downstairs for. Different reasons.

Tsurai hung his head and frowned. "Your tattoos are. But look where you are now, with those." He hmphed, walking at his normal pace, which was slightly faster than Isiah's.

"I can't peel my tattoos off, kid. I can't toss them down in the dirt. And I don't regret them all, you know.." He lengthened his stride to catch pace, sighing. "A lot of things happened that I didn't expect to."

"Well maybe I don''t regret everything about the dogtags." Tsurai still had to hold onto something. He was being stubborn.
Desperate to change subject, he left his tags in his pocket, but took his hands out and stopped in midstride, looking up to Isiah with a grin. "I''ll race you to your house, heh."

"Go ahead and race yourself. I've head enough excitement for today." He smiled weakly, glad Tsurai was at least faking feeling better. He never had enough time for that, usually.

Tsurai blinked, grin dissipating. "What's the matter? Did I do something wrong?"

Isiah shook his head, frowning. "No, Tsurai. I just don't have the energy." His countenance returned to it's usual apathetic emptiness before they arrived, the Ceta meeting him immediately upon his return, speaking in quick Denzien. Isiah rose his hand, barking back, quietly, leaning away as the Ceta counter argued in exasperated tones.

Tsurai frowned and tried to make his presence as small as possible while the two Denziens argued. He didn't know what they were talking about, although he assumed it was him, and he didn't want to interrupt to ask what was going on, either. It seemed like Tsurai was the only person who couldn't understand Denzien, and that's why he wanted to learn: So he could listen to what they were saying right infront of him.

The argument ended abruptly when Isiah rose his voice, his last sentence booming, bringing a rasp to his dry throat. The Ceta nodded meekly, shrinking into his shoulders, looking as though he would curl his tail between his legs if he had one.
Isiah growled, tilting his head for Tsurai to follow him. "Some people.. don't know when to ********' quit."

Tsurai shrunk his stature, walking behind Isiah. "Was that about me?" he asked softly. He couldn't stand Isiah being mad.. In any language. Every time Isiah had been mad, Tsurai always got hurt. Arm twisted, suffocation. Isiah being mad was bad.
