"There's no need to shout, I'm right here," came a lofty voice from high above the gym arena. From an open skylight in the ceiling came a Pidgeot, swooping down gracefully and landing atop a raised platform. A chorus of gently chirping birds filled the room, and on closer inspection there were dozens of perches protruding from the walls on either side, each home to several bird Pokemon. Pidgey, Hoothoot and Spearow rested on the branches, tilting their heads and ruffling their feathers as a tall boy with navy hair climbed down from the back of the Pidgeot, stroking its feathers gently as he grinned at the challenger before them. "Please don't yell, you'll upset the birds," he said softly, giving the Pidgeot a nod. It returned the nod, a respectful gleam in its eyes, and with a flap of its wings was soaring up and up until it disappeared through the skylight from which it had entered.
"My name is Falkner," he said, giving a slight bow. "And as the leader of the Violet City Pokemon Gym, it is my duty to accept your challlenge."
((Now how's that for a gym leader intro? domokun ))

((O_o Now that's an intro. Never mind my wanting to be Falkner, I'd never have done it justice as you have o_O))
Crenu gazed up at Falkner in amazment, the sheer grace and beauty of his birds combined with his cool demenor, it was simply to much. He was having second thoughs, but them remembered his pokemon. No, this is for them... "Alright then Falkner, lets do this." He looked around for a bit, then reolized he had no idea as to how he was going to get up there. "Um, are there stairs or something..." He continued to look around as he walked twords the platform.
((I assume the platform is rather high off the ground))

It was her comment that had the man staring at her, it wasn't everyday that a little girl talked like that to him or well anyone, it was also strange that she did not look at him while she spoke. Kind of spooked by the strange girl he staired at her for a moment befor it hit him, the little girl was blind. Frowning he took hold of her hand determined to take the now discovered blind girl home. "Why didn't you tell me you were blind let me help you home."
Irritated by the man Toph snatched her hand away from him. "I told you I dont need help home!" She snapped at him befor marching away intent on making it to Viridian soon, while it didn't matter to her what time she traveled at she knew that her companions prefered to travel in the day. Behind her Storm followed closely and Edge after growling at the man and giving him a few scratch's ran off to follow his mistress as well.

"There's some sort of contest thing going on here, it's really noisy," Jaeshan said, cupping his hand around the reciever to amplify his voice. "I'm just over in Saffron right now, it shouldn't take too long to just bike over," he reasoned, watching an excited Ryka running around, talking to everyone and having a good time. I don't want to ruin her fun... "I'll be there soon," he said. "Maybe half an hour, an hour tops. See you soon," he said, clicking off the phone and trying to catch up with his friend. "I'm just gonna bike over to Celadon to meet Keegan," he said, once he'd caught her attention. "If you want to wait here and enjoy the festivites, go ahead, I'll be back really soon."

"Just a second," Falkner said, walking back out of sight for a moment. He flipped a switch, and a flight of stairs raised out of the ground from the right side, granting access to the arena above. He came back into view, and waved down to Crenu. "Alright, come up."
((Yeah, Falkner likes to be as close to the sky as possible))

Crenu nodded and grinned as he watched the staircase form. He hustled up the stairs and eventualy got to the top a bit winded. He looked around at the arena they were on, then back at Falkner. "Alright Falkner, lets do this."

"The Pokemon Center it is, then," Keegan nodded. "See ya." He turned off the phone, closing it shut and sticking it into his pocket. "We're gonna meet him at the Pokemon Center," he repeated, although he was certain Dante had heard him the first few times. Helios sighed in his ear, pretty much fast asleep. Keegan smiled at the fox Pokemon as he recalled him, pressing the button on another Pokeball to release Themis, the Electrike. The green and yellow Pokemon sniffed the air curiously, looking pleased to be out in the fresh air again. The last time Keegan had let him out had been for the last battle they'd had. "How goes it, Themis?" Keegan asked, bending down to get a good look at him. Themis barked in reply, tiny bolts of static rippling across his body.

"As you wish," Falkner said, giving another slight bow. He tucked a lock of navy hair behind his ear, looking up at the bird Pokemon adorning the walls around them. "This match will be a two on two, single battle," he told Crenu in an official, yet aloof voice, still staring up at the sky. "First one to make the other trainer's Pokemon faint wins," he said, as a slate grey pedestal rose out of the ground behind him. He walked up to it, and glanced back to Crenu. "And if you can best me and my magnificent bird Pokemon," he went on, sliding a glass panel from the top of the pedestal, and dipping his hand inside, "you'll win this: The Zephyr Badge." Pinched between his thumb and index finger was a silver badge, a pair of wings pointing downward. "Take your position, Challenger Shiro Crenu, and we shall commence the battle."

Dante just laughed slightly at Keegan befor shaking his head slightly. "Yes, I did hear you, and I believe it would be best to have my team refreashed befor I try to take on the gym leader. Beside's I do want to see if I can actually pull off being a girl in front of someone." Seeing the new pokemon out he smiled slightly befor reaching down and setting his hand out infront of Themis for him to sniff. Kenny floated down near his shoulder to the new pokemon, he had never seen another pokemon like this one and was curious to see what it was exactly.

Crenu gazed at eh badge and grinned That's gonna be mine . Crenu took his position on his end of the arena and tossed his front two pokeballs onto the field. "Larvitar, Spinarak, it's battle time!" Larvitar and Spinarak came out in a flash of red light, rearing to fight. "Bring it!"

The loud sounds made by the Violet City Gym's gears woke Ky as he was napping on a nearby grassy hill. Ky smiled when he heard the familiar sound and got up quickly, brushing the random loose blades of grass from his shorts. He bent down to pick up his backpack and after throwing the straps around his shoulders, he set off at a light run towards the gym. "I wonder who Falkner could be duelling this time?" Ky thought as he ran. Ky had seen many of Falkner's battles, but this time he had a Pokemon with him, a Natu that was recently given to him by his older sister. Now that he was considered a true trainer, it was time he started acting like one. Watching this duel was going to be a learning experience, for both Ky and Little Guy, not merely for sport.
Ky reached the Gym's entrance and followed the signs pointing to the spectator bleachers above, high above the ground where the match was to be held. When he finally climbed all of the steps, he made his way to the middle where he could get the greatest view. There weren't many people watching today, so he could lean up against the glass without blocking anyone else's view. Ky saw that the other trainer had already made it to the challenger's highrise and that Falkner was ready, standing ever so confident on the opposite end. It looked like he had just made it in time.
Before Ky forgot, he pulled out his Pokeball and called Little Guy out. The young Natu appeared at Ky's feet, sleeping...
"Hey, Little Guy! Now's not the time to sleep! This is going to be our bonding moment, and at the same time you'll be able to see how strong of a bird Pokemon you could be!" Ky said. His words hit deaf ears though, as Little Guy just slept on. Ky became frustrated and picked up Little Guy in his hands, shaking him a little bit. Ky smiled again as Little Guy's eyes started to open. Then, Little Guy pecked sharply at Ky's left thumb, causing Ky to hold up Little Guy with his right hand as his left hand recoiled in pain. "Gah! What'd you do that for?! I thought captured Pokemon were supposed to be..." Ky stopped as he saw Little Guy hop off of his hand, perch onto the bleacher's handrailing, and stare intently at Falkner. "...tame," Ky finished, smiling. Ky focused his attention on the match, elbows on the railing. It seemed that the opposing trainer had made his move, tossing out a Larvitar and a Spinarak.

As Toph reached the end of the short Route 1 she felt something moving closer to her that wans't one of her pokemon, it didn't feel like it was a human either. Focusing her attention in the direction it was coming from her ear's twitched slightly as she picked up the sound of feet scurring in the loose dirt. "Storm use Water Gun on that Rattata." She said calmly as she figured out what the pokemon approaching her was.
Storm looked up at his trainer wondering what she was talking about, he couldn't see any pokemon. Finally the small turtle heard something turning his head he spotted the Rattata that Toph had been talking about and grinned slightly befor opening his mouth and blasting it with a Water Gun. The smaller pokemon, not expecting the attack was sent flying back into the grass a few feet away. Getting up the small pokemon shook itself off and bared its teeth and growled at the lone trainer and it's pokemon.
"Dont bother trying to threaten me it won't work." Toph said boredly as she had heard the growl. Turning her head she 'stared' in the direction of the Rattata and grinned toothily. "Storm knock it out with another Water Gun attack." She comanded. The Squirtle nodded and shot another stream of water at the other pokemon sucessfully knocking it out. "Now let's go, I dont want to spend all night outside with these annoying people and I doubt you to do to. She said as she started walking into the town ready to settle down for the night.

"What are you two doing here?" A familiar voice asked from behind them. "Yeah. I thought you two were in Mauville city." Another familiar voice said from behind them. "Mom! dad!" Z and Lyn said turning around in surprise. "Why are you guys here!?!?!" They asked suprisedly. "We came to buy and sell some things at the famous Slateport market." Their mom said showing them a grocery bag full of food, clothes and various other things. "Well this solves our dilema quite effectively." Lyn said smiling. "It's almost as if some greater force was causing us to meet by the long arm of comic book coincedence." Z said stroking his chin and looking up. "Nah." He said and looking back at Mom and Dad. "Oh by the way I have been breeding a special pokemon for each of you. The eggs are not quite ready yet but when they are ready they will be quite powerful. but I have a condition. Even once they are ready you must show me you have earned them. Understood." Z's dad said with a serious tone at the end. "Hai." Z and Lyn said together.

Mag decided to take this chance to see what his other pokemon had to think. "Okay Tsunami, Shining, Shadow, come on out!" He said releasing his other three pokemon.
"Ah it is good to be out!" the slippery Vaporeon Tsunami stated as she stretched and looked about. "No duh sherlock." the calm and apparently sarcastic Shining laughed. "It is a bit bright though." the seminocturnal Shadow added as he pounced on his sister Eevee Shining.
"Well I didn't know my pokemon were quite this colorful." Mag directed at them. "Yep, I can now understand you!" Mag answered to their sudden jerk-of-the-head looks at him. "Now we can bother him even more!" Sunfire exclaimed to the bunch. "This conversation is taking a terrible turn."

"Anyway we wanted to tell you guys that we were heading for Kanto to start our pokemon journey." Lyn said smiling even though she was slightly nervous that they would not let her leave. "Really! Thats great! Then make sure to call home evreyonce in a while and make sure to come and see us if you ever come back to Hoenn!" Dad said hugging them tightly. Mom joined in causing a painfully tight group hug. "Anyway now that we don't have to go to pacifidlog town to say goodbye to you two we have some time to kill." Z said as the hug ended. "Your right. I don't need to be in cerulean until wednsday afternoon and the ferry should only take a few hours and withut any mishaps we can walk the rest of the way in about a day so we have an entire day to spend here." Lyn said calculating the times needed. "Wait why do you need to get to Cerulean by wednsday?" Z asked even though he already knew the answer. "For the pokemon contest. I saw a poster for it on the train here and it looked perfect for me and Amy." She said smiling. "sorry to burst your extremly delusional bubble but I am entering that contest and winning." Z said smirking. "What!! You are entering too! Well even so Amy is much more appealing that Shino." Lyn exclaimed before calming down and countering Z's insult.
