Lt. Brookman Kumori the Shadow Prince regular Ork Boyz cost *purge* per model Big mek without any upgrades is *purge* Lootaz are *purge* points each Just grab a Calculator if you're lost... If you have black orcs from fantasy, Then you can use them as Ard boyz, as that's what they generally look like, Just switch one of their arms with a Slugga arm and you're good... Okay newbie, I'll tell you this only once, DO NOT hand out point values when people ask for them. It says so in the guild rules, so please don't. People must get the codex and not have others type it up for them. Ok!!! I get it!! I'll watch out in the future... And Newbie??? I'm only new because I haven't been on these posts for a while!!! But I degress, I haven't been Proper with the rules and I will make note of this mistake... Interestingly enough I'm on Da Waaagh! As for the looted Question: You can take it if you want... Since the Looted Wagon is a catch all term nowadays, It makes sure Ork players can grab any tank the other army has (either because you like the look or fits your theme, You wanna tick off the opponent, Or a combination of all three...) The cool part is that you can slap a Wrecking ball on top of the thing and go up to tanks and bash em on da Ead! A russ for the Orkz is a looted wagon with a Boomgun, Kinda like a sawed-off version of the Battle cannon...

Oh, and I decided what I'll get now. Mek, 20 Boyz, 5 Lootas, and a russ. (And of course, the codex...) Thanks for your help, everybody!

You don't even have to saw it off.
Ork boomguns have lesser range because they lack the ability for upkeep on their vehicles.
A simple way to make the russ usable for orks is to chip off small parts from edges giving them a worn-out look, buy some plasticard and make it like worn-out bolted on plates, if you're adding big shootas on the sides then switch the barrels for shoota barrels.
I'll check for a simple looking boomgun looted wagon and show.

A looted wagon can look something like this, just nailed on plates here and there. n_n

Depends on how you put on the guns, since it doesn't state in the ork codex if the weapons are sponsons or not you have free hands with them. n_n

First of all, thats a sweet Boom gun in true orky fashion.
Second, I'm decideing on what to build up after I finsh my guard, and I've pretty much decided on Orks. After all the shooting I've done in the past, I have a real hankering to get up close and personal. I know what I'll do for the mainstream/regular games. For apocolypse I really want to do a dread mob and a small air force, and I was wondering if anyone here uses them (planes or dread mobs, either one)?

Only model I'm aware of is Boss Zagstrukk, the Vulcha Boyz boss. Greens have been shown of that model, the others are not confirmed as models any time soon, thus leaving the players to create their own.

Does anyone know if the 40k Warboss is actually in the works? I really want to know cuz then I'll bounce off the walls in joy...

A'ight, ladz 'n laydeez, I's got a qweschin for yaz.
I'm just dying to convert a Boyz Mob into 'Ard Boyz. The problem is, should I give the 'Eavy Armor to my Shootas or Sluggas? I'm sure the slugga boys will be seeing more action, but I feel like my chaos armor panels and Dreadnought faceplates would look better as shields on the shootas. I'd appreciate a second opinion.

I stick 'eavy armour on 20 footslogging shoota boyz accompanied by a Power klaw + bosspole Nob (and 2 big shootas), and yes Shoota nobz CAN take PK even though the codex say they can't, even mr Phill Kelly have apologized for this miss in the codex now).
Why? Because they're equally good in combat as their choppy brethren, yes, they have one less attack, no they're not less effective, think of the HAIL of dakka on the enemy before charging, the enemy will lose a couple of ladz probably in the process unless you're really unlucky, and it looks cooler, trust me.
If you're going for choppy 'ardboyz I suggest you put them in a truck.
That's just my two teef...

Many thanks! Looks like my shooty boyz are gettin' their 'ard plates. Hopefully my choppy boys'll be fine once they get stuck in. I mean, close combat weapons don't have AP values yet, right?
I've already modeled two of my Nobs. The shoota Nob has a big choppa, bosspole (looted off some poor Ultrasmurf and vandalized) and 'eavy armor (also looted off some poor Ultraweenie). My slugga nob has a power klaw and bosspole (made out of some poor Chaos yoof's trophy rack).
