I need to know how he moves so freely through time.
If I had that ability.... to control how I came and went....

*looks at the spot where he was sitting* I wonder if 'tis something we really could learn . . .
*sighs to herself, and rises, taking a few moments to clean the glasses and put them away*
*deliberates waiting around to see if anybody else shows up, but then decides she'd best get home and back to sleep, so she walks over to retrieve her key, opens the door back to her world and steps through*

:::Cora fades into the main bar, she looked to be staring off into the distance when her focus changed. She hardly skipped a beat. She was really good at the transition now. Without hesitation, she opens a small compartment on her belt, removes a silver chain and locket, and clasps it around her neck:::

*Bard fades in sitting in a chair, a book in his hand and his reading glasses perched on his nose. His back is turned to Cora, and he doesn't notice her, nor even that he's shifted*

:::Cora sees Bard appear in his chair. It seems he doesn't even notice that he is in a new place...she hopes not to startle him, but makes herself known:::
Good day citizen Bard. How is it that you feel? :::she smiled:::

*Bard lifts his head at the sound of Cora's voice. He twists around in his chair to look at her.*
Ah! Officer Serenis. *he stands and approaches her*
How nice to see you! How are you?

I am quite well Citizen Bard. And yourself?
:::She looks at the thing in his hand, and recognizes it as a book, a very old form of learning and information gathering:::
May I ask what you are reading?

From when do you come, Officer?

When I leave my home, it is 3035. It has come to my attention that I am from the latest time, relatively, to all others I have met here. When do you hale from Citizen Bard?

3035? *he marvels at the idea* My time? 1998.
I can't imagine the sheer volume of great literature that must exist in your time. Do you read a lot of fiction, Officer?

Fiction is no longer a requirement of learning in my time. It is extra curicular, and only historical. It is no longer written. The writing of the day is focused on scienes, and research, to progress as an advancing species.

I have been thorough in my education. Though it is not a requirement, the most aspiring students...which really is everyone in my time, read what they can. One must be a very accomplished historian to understand the context of most fiction. That I have practiced. When I was younger, I read my share of fiction. "Alice in Wonderland" has come to mind multiple times when I arrive here. If I am correct that title was not written far from your time. Are you familiar with it?
