It was time...
Her footsteps echoed. An unearthly echo...the kind of echo you hear in the dark hallways of terrible nightmares. Her black leather boots trailed softly through the dust of the ground, kicking up small plumes of dust that dirtied her already dirty shoes even more. Her appearance was slightly different than the last time she had faced off against the man she was to fight. Her shoulder-length black hair was now chin-length black hair, and it was highlighted in silver. She wore black baggy pants still, and they still had many pockets in which she kept her battle items in. Her shirt was pretty much exactly like a martial arts fighting vest, which just buttoned off to the side and was the shade of black with silver lining on it. She still wore those tattered gloves too. And her eyes...those horrible grey eyes were still glazed over with that same insanity. That same gleam of death... She had also taken a favor to two new weapons; Wakizashis. She wore them crisscrossed on her much lower back, that way all she had to do was reach behind her and grab them. On her thigh a dagger was also strapped. Her Odachi was nowhere in sight. She had found it to be rather clumsy to carry around constantly, so she devised a new way to carry it around, although that may have to be found out later in the battle. She remained standing there like a cold pillar, her face hardened and her eyes gleaming....anxious for this to begin.

And thus, the earth shook.
Even on the sandy surface on the arena's floor, Raine would feel the thunderous shaking that felt like a mild earthquake.
It was dark out, the moon shining brightly and full in the otherwise dark sky...it appeared even the stars were hiding.
And then, Raine would hear the clink of armor...the thundering footsteps nearing ever closer. Maybe she could see the shadow that was detached from the rest, moving toward her at a slow, steady pace.
Ah, Fas had changed too...
The shadow stopped, and a sudden flare would illuminate everything around them as the lights for the arena were turned on.
The Languardian Armor clinked slightly as the helmet turned along with his face, looking both ways. The visor picked up tiny details then, a tiny warning popped up and Fas looked over at Raine, who was standing there.
This armor is designed for the fullest defense possible, at the sacrifice of speed and Mobility.
The armor itself is made of the same material as all the armor, Languardian Steel, which is an incredibly hard metal mix, including adamantium, Vibranium, and ADNRs.
The armor on Fas makes him about 7’5”, and weighs a tremendous amount, enough to shake the ground with each step. Thankfully, Fas is strong enough to lift the armor and actually move, albeit at a slower pace than normal.
This armor includes the Cruxian Tech computing and visor, as well as Mana Circulation to run everything. When activated, the Mana Circulation injects huge amounts of Mana, giving him unbelievable abilities, such as actually being able to run in this huge suit of armor, and at a high speed. The inside of the armor is padded with sturdy cotton, with silk set over the top of it. The entire inside of the armor is very comfortable and also prevents any of the steel on the armor from harming Fas as he moves.
The Cruxian Tech Visor is now made of Duracry, similar to the Amoreth Gonad Plates of fame in the Elite Empire. However, the Duracry had a tremendous amount of Mana Engineering put into it, and the scientists have found a way to add Languardian Steel to the mix by putting a plate on the visor and then using Mana to make the Languardian Steel turn see through, perfectly clear with no problems occurring.
The armor itself is designed similarly to the armor of Generals in Fire Emblem. However, it has several modifications.
The faceplate still covers the entirety of the user’s face; however, there is a small strip of amber at the area where Fas’ eyes are, which is where the Visor resides.
The shoulder plates are extra thick now, and have several 6 inch spikes of Langardian Steel sticking out of them, not only intimidating but also practical, useable to prevent the opponent from gripping him, as well as preventing a swing at the side of Fas’ head.
The entirety of the armor is extra thick, 2 inches of Langardian Steel protecting Fas from the outside attacker. The armor’s atomic bonds are also reinforced heavily with Mana and other energies, preventing any attacks on a molecular level.
Across Fas’ chest are gems of every color, all corresponding with a summon spirit, as well as a few others that have no summon spirit.
Along the forearms of the armor are long blades, made of Langardian Steel, super sharp. Practical for emergency use when lacking a weapon. They also look rather intimidating.
The gauntlets now have short spikes across the back of them, made from Langardian Steel, useful for hand to hand combat when necessary. The Turquoise gems are no longer present. There are also claws on the fingertips of each gauntlet. Any additional weaponry directly attached to the Langardian Armor is made of Langardian Steel.
Spikes are also present on the knees and elbows of the armor.
On the left hip was a black hilt with a Amnethyst/Diamond gem set into the end of it. A deep violet color pulsed through the black sheath. The weapon and it's corrosponding sheath were dark to the point that if they had been in shadows, they would be almost invisable except for the pulsing Dark Violet light. Set in the sheath's side was a stunning Sunstone, a vibrant orange that lit up slightly with each pulse of energy coming from the blade within.
On the right hip was a white blade, like untouched snow, pure. It had a Topaz/Turquoise set into it's end, and pulsed with a stunningly red light. The sheath itself was just as white as the blade itself, and had a Tanzinite gem set into it's side, which sparkled beautifully against the bright red pulses coming from the blade inside the sheath.
Fas looked on at Nemo, practically uninterested, fingering the hilts of Pitchblack and Devestation. It was apparently a suggestion for Raine to get things started...

Raine stood there, undaunted by the new look Fas had developed. She merely blinked and set one hand on her hip impatiently. Her grey eyes stared at him as though he were a menace. She only blinked a few times, and finally spoke in that cold tone of hers...
"It's been awhile. Before we begin, would you like to set any special rules? I'm up for anything, even if it should be a battle to the death."
She raised her eyebrows in that cocky fashion and stared at him, her left hand reaching behind her and wrapping slowly around the hilt of her Wakizashi. Before drawing her blade to attack though, she waited for a reply.

Fas watched her with his own eyes, those damned emerald green eyes, locking with her stormy gray eyes through the visor. Both of them had a glaze of insanity over their eyes...*Flashback* Quote: Fas suddenly stopped himself almost as soon as he started moving, becoming impaled by several of the spears but managed to throw up a barrier around himself before the rest could get to him. He was bleeding bad...Oddly, his blood was a bright indigo-silver color...
Fas was getting light headed...He wasn't gonna last long...
...He only had one choice...Something that would haunt him for the rest of his life which was, really, untill existance ended or he was killed...
A tear ran down his face as he fell to his knees, soaked in his own blood, tears streaming down his face as he threw down the deathseeker and slammed his fist into the sand.
"I....I give up...." He said, not looking up at her, his hair covering his face.
"...Goddamnit..." Quote: The woman suddenly blinked, her eyes returning to their original colour, though the shadows remaining. The tendrils of darkness coming towards him suddenly froze in place, all of them still pointing their deadly tips towards him. As the tears ran down the man's face, the woman realized how much this battle had meant to him. He was a very honourable, worthy opponent whom had given her joy by being able to fight a challenging battle. She respected him. Her anger diminished, and through some form of kindness that she didn't know she possessed, she would spare him death.
The shadow attack disappeared, and her body lowered to the ground. The shadows all disappeared around her, and her cut, bruised, and tired body returned to itself. She simply sighed a sigh of relief, knowing that it'd take her some time to heal up. Her knees were bent slightly, weariness was evident on her. Blood ran down her skin from various cuts. She walked over to the man, sorta staggering from exhaustion. She simply stood there, looking at the battered man who had put up a wonderful fight. She bowed deeply, the traditional Japanese bow showing respect and honour.
You have been a great honour for me to fight... Thank you, Honourable Warrior.
With that, she simply sheathed her Odachi slowly, allowing her arms to rest limply at her sides. Her hair hung in her own face. She staggered to the edge of the arena and sat down, her legs extended in front of her and her knees bent up slightly, waiting for the judge to call the final announcement. *End flashback* Ahh...Yes, she had defeated him and left him a bloody heap on the ground...Yet, there was something that Fas still wondered about, wondered why in the world someone as brutal and well known as a merciless killer as her would show mercy to him...
He would have to ask her that sometime.
He shifted slightly, the sound of his heavy armor brushing against itself filling the area.
"...No...I don't want to kill you...And I don't want to be killed myself...I had a close enough call last time we met..." His voice was deeper now, and a bit of insanity dripped from his voice. The voice was filtered through his armor's system, giving it the sound of someone speaking to her through a PA system.
His gauntleted hands fingered his blades still, watching her...He knew damn well not to charge anyone, this woman in particular...

"Hmph... Well then, I'll agree to not battling to the death, if that is your wish. Well then. Shall we begin?"
Raine slowly unsheathed the Wakizashi, an earpiercing ring emitting throughout the area. Her cold grey eyes were locked on her opponent with a look of anger. Her black bangs hung in her eyes, shadowing them over. Oddly enough, she wore a slight smile upon her face. It wasn't a smile of joy though, by any means.
"I don't suppose a weapon like this could cut through armour like that. It seems I'll have to devise some way to get past that suit of yours."
Her right hand slowly reached up towards her blade, and lightly she rested her right hand upon the metal. Abrubtly, the metal of her Wakizashi turned a blackish colour, as though someone has stuck black food-dye into the blade itself. A greyish aura poured off from the blade, literally dripping onto the ground as though it were a runny liquid. The odd thing was, when it would touch the ground it would dissolve into the ground, small puffs of smoke coming out of the disintegrating liquid as if it were burning away at the surface of the earth. Which, in fact, it was.
She began slowly walking towards him. One foot in front of the other, her blade held out in front of her with her right hand resting upon it still. Her eyes were fixed upon his visor. Slowly, she kept advancing...
As she neared him at a range of about 5 feet, she suddenly stopped, just standing there staring at the armoured man in front of her.
"Let's see if this works, hm?"
Her tone was monotonous and cold, as though she were mocking him in many ways. She was definitely what some might call arrogant. Abrubtly after she said this, she shot towards him, her right hand pulling away from the blade and stretching out towards Fas. As it stretched, a large string of dark matter condensed and shot out of the palm of her hand, aiming straight for his visor. If this should hit, it would stick to his visor and obstruct his vision, also acting as an acid and eating away at it.
As she did this, she darted to his right side and ran past him. As she ran past though, she thrust her Wakizashi sideways, aiming straight for his right side.
She wasn't sure if this acid would actually work, but it was worth a try. Right now, she wasn't trying to actually hurt him. She was just trying to find his weakness, as every defense had a weakness.
And also, when the aura had literally dripped off her blade and onto the ground, in all oddness, it didn't just dissolve into nothingness. Raine had placed her shadows beneath the ground, ready to be used for later.
So, in summary, he would have two things to deal with. The string of black acid aiming for his visor, and the fact that she was about to impale him in his right side as she darted past.
He would barely have time to react as well, considering Raine's agility.

"Fast as ever..."
As she unsheathed her blade, he would unsheath Pitchblack with his right hand, resting the blade on his right shoulder. His left hand stayed at his side, watching her.
As she circled him, he watched her, carefully watching her every step as she moved...
Then, her hand shot out, and the visor instantly picked up the incoming threat. The visor would turn a dark red and suddenly, a ray of dark violet energy would fire from it, incinerating the dark bit of existance.
Of course, her move was simply a distraction, similar to the old "sand in the eyes" trick that is every so popular.
Fas spun Pitchblack in a fast, circular fashion, moving incredibly quick for someone in this armor. The black blade of Pitchblack would slam into Raine's aura-coated blade, deflecting it with heavy kinetic force and momentum. After the blow had been deflected he would need a moment for that arm to recover due to the size of the blade and the weight of his armor. Fas was strong, but he wasn't strong enough to defy physics.
Sadly, she had gotten away from him. He thought for a moment, calculating the situation. She was fast, and he was slower than her thanks to his armor...
"...Defense or Offence...If I just stand here in this armor I'll never get a shot back at her, and she'll pick me apart with hit and runs untill she starts drawing blood...Only one option then..."
The armor around his body turned into a smoke-like entity and was brushed apart by the air. It would reform elsewhere, safe. Now he was out of that damned armor.
Pitchblack and Devestation shrank and thinned, becoming similar to a pair of katanas in size and design.
Fas' hair now flowed free, slightly tousled as if he had just gotten out of bed after a long night of hot passion.
He wasn't wearing a shirt, it would have been to hot inside the damned armor. Instead, there was nothing on his upper body except bare skin and muscles.
He wore a simple pair of what appeared to be track pants, a red line running down the sides of their black lengths. His feet were covered by nothing but his own flesh.
He was in extremely good condition, his entire body covered with thick sinewy muscles, yet they weren't excessively bulgy or defined.
He gripped the hilt of Devestation and drew it, letting the two katana-like blades' tips rest on the dusty ground.
"Long time no see, Raine. First time I've seen you with my own eyes in a long time. I promise this time I won't beg for mercy!"

"We'll see."
Raine had her back turned to him still, as she had never bothered to turn around after she ran past him. She smirked, although he wouldn't be able to see it. Her eyes looked excited. She was already beginning to enjoy this.
"It would have been wise of you to stay in that protective armour of yours. You would have been....safer."
She turned to face him, and quickly scanned the situation. Her eyes were fixated upon him.
Hmph...he's a lot more confident than last time. Otherwise, he wouldn't dare try to face me with nothing more than two Katanas and little clothing. He's been training. He's...stonger.
Raine was good at psychoanalyzing people, and she knew Fas definitely would prove more of a challenge this time. Her eyes gleamed a little brighter, anticipating the fight ahead of her. Her left hand raised, and she held the Wakizashi aloft. Slowly, her right hand reached behind her and gripped the hilt of her other Wakizashi, pulling it slowly out and in front of her as well. Dual-Wakizashis were something she'd been training in. She gently layed the blade of her right Wakizashi across her left one, resulting in a spread of the aura to the other blade as well. They both dripped with that black acid now.
She blinked, and was off, running towards him like the speed of wind. Her hair flew behind her wildly from the speed, and she was crouched low a bit as she ran. Her blades were held out to each of her sides.
As she neared him, she crossed her blades over to the opposite sides. Basically, her left hand held her blade to her right side and her right hand held her blade to the left side, resulting in her arms being crossed. As she came within range, her arms uncrossed, holding the blades out and slashing through the air in a parallel formation, straight towards his chest. Her right foot was positioned slightly more forward than her left foot.
If these blades should hit, they would leave a deep gash and result in a bit of acid eating away at him, but probably wouldn't actually kill him.

He smirked at her as she advanced with such great speed, watching, letting her get closer, and then...
He suddenly dropped to one knee just before she slashed at him, the blades passing over his head with a audiable sound. He then stabbed Devestation toward her stomach, raising Pitchblack and slashed at her arms in a cresent motion. Of course, she probably wouldn't notice it unless she got hit, but he had Pitchblack backwards, the unedged side aiming for her arms.
Fas remained true to his word. He didn't want to kill her, and he would rather die first than kill her.

Raine was no fool. She knew very well that when she had slashed towards him she had left a major opening for her to get hit. She wouldn't have done something like that unless she had a backup plan. Fas should know her better than that.
As he ducked, she smirked, knowing exactly what was to come. In fact, she expected it before it had even occurred. She always tried to anticipate what was to come, so she wouldn't get hit/killed.
Previously, she had placed some of her shadows underneath the ground. She had found recently that this helps a lot in battle. As he ducked and prepared to stab, in less time than a blink of an eye something would happen. Underneath the ground, her shadows resided, ready for anything at a moment's notice. As he stabbed towards her, her shadows rose up out of the ground, creating a thin barrier between him and her. His stab would be interrupted, as he would merely hit the barrier that rose. Also, as soon as Fas had ducked Raine had pushed forward with her right foot, which would propel her body backwards as her right foot had been slightly forward. Her arms also would pull back to her chest as she moved back, pretty much ensuring that he wouldn't be able to touch her. As soon as she moved back a few paces, the barrier vanished and descended beneath the Earth.
She would now stand a few paces away from him, her smile now gone. She didn't blink, nor stir in any way. She only stood there as still as a stone, without a word, waiting for -him- to do something this time.

Mistake.
Fas was no fool, she should know that as well. He had stabbed toward her with the holy blade, Devestation, and there was her mistake. Just like last time, his holy magic would prove her shadows to be...next to useless.
As the blade struck the barrier of shadows, it would be like touching a peice of paper to lava. The barrier would instantly burn away upon contact, the kinetic force form his stab not slowed in the least. Further, the holy magic would burn the rest of the barrier and then follow it's path down into the dirt, burning away the rest of her shadows below ground as well.
He knew the blade wouldn't be able to cut her, but she was too slow, and she definately expected that her barrier would stop him. He, on the other hand, had been expecting such a defense the entire time. Further, the blade itself was still very long, and would be able to reach it's target in this case...but, barely. +1 For Fas.
As the blade went forward, it would hit her gut, yes, however since she was leaping back at the time contact was made, so she would feel little more than an extra push in her leap that she had not anticipated in her original jump.
However, for Fas to capitalize on a moment in which she had been half a step behind, he would need something more than a love tap from his blade.
So, in the instant where the blade contacted her, he challed a blast of Mana down the blade, and once it exited the end of the blade, she would be an inch away from it's tip. The mana would shoot out, but not with magical intent, but a huge blast of kinetic force and energy that would impact her gut with the force of a sledgehammer.
Fas didn't allow himself a smirk, he knew victory was quite a bit off. There was no way such a blow would stop her, not by a long shot. She was one of few people to ever fully earn his respect with one meeting, and one fight. In fact, maybe the first.

Ah, dang. It didn't work.
Raine had indeed made a mistake, but one that she probably could recover from well enough. She did feel the tap of his blade, as well as the mana impact her stomach. As it did so, she flew backwards and onto the ground, landing on her back in the dust. Her eyes were wide, and her left hand held her stomach in pain. Her Wakizashi lay a little ways away from her.
She slowly climbed to her knees, reaching back and grabbing her Wakizashi off of the ground. Her head was down, staring at the ground beneath her. Abrubtly, she lifted her head to look at him, and oddly enough...a smile was on her face. She climbed to her feet and stood there, staring at Fas with that menacing smile.
"Interesting..."
She said this aloud, but offered no explanation for her words. She'd been underestimating him based on the last time they had fought. She wouldn't be doing that anymore.
She lifted her right Wakizashi into the air, the tip of the blade pointed towards him. Abrubtly, she raised the blade, and then slashed downwards, although this probably looked funny considering she wasn't even close enough to him to hit him. As she slashed downwards, a long line of dark energy shot out of her blade, aiming straight for him. It was sort of like a shockwave, which if it hit him, it would feel like a bus crashing into him. It was traveling at a speed which would almost be impossible for the human eye to follow. Normally, it would've chopped him in half, but Raine had agreed to a non-lethal battle. She would hold to this as long as he didn't make her too angry.
As she did this, she stabbed her left blade into the ground, placing quite a few more of her shadow stuff underneath the ground. This was done at exactly the same time she slashed. Immediately after she slashed, she let go of her left blade and left it stuck in the ground. As soon as she let go, she took off running towards him, keeping up good pace with the shockwave she had sent towards him. As the shockwave reached him, so would she.
When she was within range, she would abrubtly thrust her left hand out, a long dark stream of dark acid pouring out of her fist. The stream was aimed straight for the arm in which he held Devestation. If it should make contact with his arm, it would immediately begin eating away at it, which would probably make him drop the blade. Also, the stream of dark acid acted as a homing device. Even if the shockwave should push him backwards, the dark acid would follow until it reached its target.

Fas smirked at her, watching as she made her shockwave. Of course, Fas was no human, and he had an extremely high eye-frame-rate, and the incoming shockwave was...simple to see. It seemed she was going hardcore now.
He rolled to the side, toward her. As she stopped, she would most likely be suprised to find Fas bowling into her, the energy blowing past him, missing easily. And surely she wouldn't be able to unleash her little acidic attack with Fas ramming into her.
As well as his little rolling tackle on her, he kept Pitchblack in a defensive position, out to his side so that it basically had a 360 degree area that he could reach.

Oppithegus standing at his full height of 8' 5" tall, walked into the arean his bright green eyes glowing the sense of bloodlust. he started transfroming into his first shadow form the skin around his body almost melting off if you wil leaving nothing but his bones standing up. several of his bones grew bigger while new ones grew in the place of absent ones. the bones that had formed both his tails were conglomerated into one tail a dark aruara aurrounding his body acting alot like a sheild. his eyes had transfromed from a light green to a dark red color. if attacked in this form he would sustain damage yes but not nearly as much damage as he would in his two demon forms. his bone like tail was wrapped around the hilt of a sword. Nightmare, was ready to be used at any time and even let off a sort of strong pulse that could be felt by anyone near to Oppithegus. Oppithegus lifted Nightmare into the air, as if prepareing to wield it.
