rejectanonymity Anyone here read Kate Bornstein's My Gender Workbook? Unfortunately, I haven't read half as many gender issues books as I should. Hell, I haven't even read one. I'm lame, I know. And hypocritical, too. I feel strongly about a subject I don't even research. stressed Vague NadiaM All I have is this myestrious itching all over my legs. >.> While not fatal, it's irritating to the extreme and I've been scratching my legs raw. That could be a fungus, a parasitic infestation, an allergy... Or cancer. It could also be cancer.

Yes. I'm the no-touchy guy.
Ooo! Cookies!
-tackles them-
Note that pretty much JoVo, Cats, and Ryan(Invisible Monsters) are the only people who can touch me without freaking out - and that only when I'm in a good mood.

Keithing Ryan: At the expense of my dignity as a literate person that likes reading GLBT studies, I haven't heard of Bornstein's work. Care to share? Oh, Kate's wonderful. She's a transsexual lesbian who writes about gender as neither male nor female. A friend of mine got me interested in her (and my genderqueerness got me interested in gender stuff to begin with). My Gender Workbook looks really cool, it starts out with these little gender aptitude tests. I'm enjoying it already. biggrin If you're interested in what it's about you can see some sample pages from it on Amazon. JoVo Unfortunately, I haven't read half as many gender issues books as I should. Hell, I haven't even read one. I'm lame, I know. And hypocritical, too. I feel strongly about a subject I don't even research. stressed I just started reading about gender my last semester in school when all my gender stuff came to a head. But if you are going to read about gender, Kate Bornstein is reallyreally good, as is Leslie Feinberg. biggrin

Has anyone seen that show Gay Republicans? Well, good, I hope not. I was just watching it today, and the things the people said just disgusted me. As one of the gay republicans said, "I'd rather be in a room full of republicans than gays. Because gays judge other gays." Which of course is stereotyping. Then when he saw a sign saying homosexuality is sin, he just shrugged it off. Claiming that he can easily over look those things just to get his point across. Now, what I never got is what his point exactly was. Was it to discriminate himself? Pah, some people just piss me off. But whatever, not my life, not my business. I'm going to stop now, before I have to move this to the rant thread.

Do you get a channel called "Free Speech TV"? It's some absurd number like channel 9967 or something on DISH Satelite.
Anyway, they have this Gay segment where they talk about Gay marriage- or atleast they did, before the election- And one gay guy gave this huge sob story about how he was closeted all his life, and then, at the end he was like,
"Oh yeah, and most gays don't want gay marriage".
Wtf?
