Connor ducked underneath the swing of her blade. For someone who walked that slowly, he could move fast when he wanted to.

Elric on the other hand, didn't want him any closer. "Probably? I say take out the scythe and blast him away." He then transformed his blades into a lance and tried staving the guy off with some well placed pokes, all of them evaded. Connor continued to advance, the sound of his left arm could be heard dragging on the floor. "And I really don't like the high evasion rate of this guy."

"Oh, right, I forgot it runs on you."

Connor jumped back, creating a wall of ice in front of him to take on the the barrage of blades coming towards him. There was silence, followed by the ice wall completely shattering as Connor had charged through it, his "bad" arm first.

"Whoa-" Connor went right for Elric, picking him up with his once thought to be injured arm and hurling him down an alley. He then quickly turned to Nina and went for her, pinning her to the ground.

"You and I are the same, or at least we will be soon." Connor went straight for her face with his left arm. His eyes both became gray in color as he tried to absorb the magical energy out of Nina. He failed to, remembering why he did from the exchange between the cousins.

"Probably? I say take out the scythe and blast him away."

"I can't use gun mode, my magic is drained remember?"

"Oh, right, I forgot it runs on you.

"Drained..." Suddenly, he wailed in pain and clenched his left arm. Looking at Nina for a brief moment, Connor rolled off of her body and ran off into the night

Elric had slamed into a wall and landed in a garbage can. Now he knew what a paper ball felt like every time one was tossed in a waste basket. "I hate my life sometimes, where's the zombie?" He asked her, he looked around but didn't see Connor around anymore.

Elric hopped out of the garbage and held his head. "I don't like the sound of that, he didn't try to...you know..." He wasn't sure how to put it lightly, you really couldn't put it lightly to begin with. "But you're right, lets get moving, hmm?" Elric reached over and pulled blue crystal frags from her chest. "These belong to you?"

Elric shrugged his shoulders. He didn't think of the possibility that the fragments had belonged to Connor. "I don't know, perhaps we can ask Eca or Irvin about it tomorrow. For now, lets just stick with your plan and get out here before anything else happens." With that said, he continued his walk towards the portal stations.

"So, how did you manage to get away. You said something about your body going into defensive mode?"

Elric put his hand on Nina's shoulder. "Can you stop doing that? It's getting me nervous, nothing else is going to happen tonight, alright?" He sighed afterwards, he should be nicer to her after that kind of experience. "I'm sorry, but yeah, I think that was just your body's natural reserves being used for such an occasion."

Elric looked up to the signs inside the portal station, the portals going to Uni were still running. The next train going there was already in the station. He and Nina both got on, in no time they and many others on the train were taking to the island in the sky called Uni.

The cousins managed to reach Elric's home safely. Nina stayed in the guest room that was practically hers. Elric did give her both a key to the room and his home in general anyway.

Next Day (2nd)

"Wow, I gotta say, I have never seen crystals like these before..."

Elric and Nina were back in her parent's home. They called up Ecalena and Irvin to come back to research the crystals on Nina's clothing. They convinced her that they might have something of interest to her.

"These look like, well, yours Nina. But not quite the same. And what I mean is the crystals look like the ones that make up the foundation of who you are. And you won't believe it, but when I put it next to yours, it ate them and assimilated it into it's own. The thing works on a cellular level, fascinating." Explained Eca.
