Hah... It's sorta funny that the Ranma vids are rated R... I mean, I'm 15, and I've been renting them from the video store for a while now. Then again... I've been told that I look 21 or so, so they probably didn't think a need to card me! wink


And now... How about some FullMetal Alchemist conversation? Ghost in the Shell? Or maybe Cowboy Bebop? If not, we could always try Read Or Die.... omg. Now that I think about it, I NEED to get a Yomiko Readman edit. >>;;

My all-time favorite anime, just for general good-feeling value, was Fushigi Yuugi. I cannot stand the manga -- way too dark-shoujo and angsty for my taste -- but the anime rocked my socks. I bawled when my favorite character died, and I bawled at the series ending, and I even wrote a really lame Fifteen-Minute Ficlet about it.

If we're listing likes here, I like the Slayers anime, Ranma manga, Fushigi Yuugi (as stated) anime, and random sips of other things here and there. Those three are the only ones I've been really crazy about, though, other than the passing adolescent fad of Sailor Moon. Art-wise, I like the styles of FY and SM the best. CLAMP drives me nuts (something about the eyes) and Rumiko Takahashi (Ranma's artist) is a little bit too simple and basic for eye-candy value. Slayers is pretty ugly -- I like it for the story.

If you want to see good art, check out the manga "RahXephon". I swear, it's the most all time beautiful art out there for manga... *drool*

lets see for anime I own Gravatation, some yu yu hakusho, cowboy bebop, petshop of horrors and spirited away ( and megaman but you know..... we arent counting the old american version of that show!) Other that I like are fruits basket, Kenshin, wolfs rain, Full metal alcamist. Ect.

Mangas: my favorites are Dragon Knights and Battle angel alttia

I also have a bat, Shocktv3 xd Fear me.

I should have said that it was a love hate relationship. XD I abhor Evangelion in general, but I love some parts of it. *kisses Rei*

Some of the reasons I want to throttle whoever came up with the storyline for Neon Genesis Evangelion (some things whited out for spoiler safety):

1. Bible and mythology references for NO G-- D--- REASON except it sounds cool and Japan is entirely too obsessed with random Westernization.

2. The television version ending.
Shinji: I like myself! I really like myself!
Audience: Good, because no one else does.

3. The movie version ending.
Movie: *gratuitous Jupiter-sized butt-nekkid groin-meld of boy and a female CLONED FROM THE BOY'S MOTHER*
Audience: ...what the.
Audience uncomfortable with incest: *curls up and cries*

4. Kaworu's utter randomness.
Kaworu: I love you. Want to take a bath together?
Audience: ...what the.
Audience uncomfortable with Teh Gay: *curls up and cries*

Reasons why I haven't thrown out the DVD box set.

1. Hundreds of dollars, darn it.

2. The actual battle scenes in which there is no dialogue but a lot of HAWT ROBO vs. ANGEL ACTION. XD Just thinking about the time when Rei went out to do battle against the ribbon-angel makes me want to smoke a cigarette.

Go Silver go! ^^ A Devil Tail though...that's just the ultimate in pixel hawtness. Surely it's worth some sacrifices. XD *swishes hers around*
