Emma smiled. "Kissy?" she asked, and then looked at Patrick. "Need kissy?" she said. To her mind, kisses were for when people looked sad, or sick. Patrick looked a little sick. She squirmed, trying to get to her brother, and Taranieth leaned over so she could land a sloppy kiss on Patrick's cheek. "Awwwwl betta."" she said proudly.

Love you though I may...  Patrick blushed, about to reply that he'd love it if Taran did so, then melted as his sister kissed his cheek. Still, he winked at Taranieth and groaned a little. "Pattick needs hugs as well to feel awwwl betta. Can we all have one, pwease Emma?" he asked, standing and holding out his arms for both of them.
Once they were hugging him, he kissed Emma's cheek and then leant in to Taranieth's ear. "I think we're done for: she has us wrapped tightly around her littlest finger. As to the kiss... yes please."
...I have several reservations. I refuse to use toys that will make you think of another person: only room for two in our bed at such times. You and Me. ((Gotta say it: Awwwwww~! Emma's so coot!))

With the three of them cuddling Taranieth let go of his worries. Patrick's whisper had him turn and catch his lips, stealing a kiss before letting go quickly so Emma wouldn't notice. "Hmmm... You've already got me. What with Emma, and the other child, soon I'll be similar to a puppet on so many strings."

Patrick sounded uncertain even as he suggested it: given their reactions to Emma, that sterness wouldn't develop for a long time.
"So... how do we make her disappear? She looks too well to die, but then neither the Nurse nor my Mother have seen her since she got better. If I have to act for her funeral then I can - tears are easy recently." he muttered, biting his lip.

Love you though I may... Patrick pecked Taran's lips quickly with a smile. "Hey, I'm glad you want children, and that any 'taken' by the Fae are well-looked after. Most of them wouldn't have been so cherished in the human world. As for me... I never expected to be able to have children of my own in any context, so I'm grateful we can have children. I'll get to watch you playing with Emma and our soon-to-be child."

"The other question is where to put the real Emma while we're around." Taranieth said, glancing at her. She squirmed out of their arms and, grabbing a branch, started to haul herself up. The branch broke before she even got off the ground, and he caught her. "Looks like big brother's been a bad example." he teased. "No climbing trees just yet, sweetie."

Love you though I may... "We could maybe leave her with Keegan? That way she's around magic, inside and safe all at the same time... oh. But we'd need to block up the kitty flap, because Emma would follow them out."
When Emma tried to climb, Patrick's heart stopped until Taranieth caught her. He gave them both a guilty look. "Y-yeah... bad big brother." Then he grinned. "Taran, I think we need to teach Emma that climbing is naughty, don't you? Emmmaaaaa, the Tickle Monster is coming to get you!" Winking at Taran, he started to lean forward with his arms in the air.

Taranieth laughed. "Nope! I've got better things to do when it's sleepytime! but for now...." he ran light fingers on the belly of the already rolling-on-the-ground Emma. She'd started giggling uncontrollably long before they'd touched her.

Emma was helpless, her peals of laughter echoing through the wood. Taranieth didn't worry, though. Children's laughter wasn't something out of place to hear, and besides, nothing too bad would happen if someone found them. He was still 'female', and nothing was visibly wrong. He ticked her, and occasionally Patrick, his laugh joining hers.

theasama Love you though I may... Patrick didn't know when, but the weight of the last couple of days had fallen from his shoulders somehow. His laugh mixed with theirs as he helped Taran to tickle Emma and sometimes tickled his love. Once, when he was feeling especially giddy, he licked Taranieth's ear and backed off quickly with an innocent grin.

Taranieth quivered when Patrick got his ear, but all in all it was fun, just letting go and being childish for the child. It was wonderfully therapeutic.
