Miyu nodded holding out her hands, "That should be enough, now just to make it cold through and through and it should be done.":
Only Miyu would be able to turn ice cream making which should in theory take an hour long due to freezing into something less than that.

Haldia nodded and handed the container over to Miyu. She was ready for her arms to rest.
"How will we know if it's ready?" Earendil asked curiously, looking at Miyu.

Holding the container more frost began to gather along the surface as she made it colder. Miyu looked thoughtful for a moment because really what she was doing was speeding up the process.
"I guess look under the lid and check, because mi... it would normally take longer than this."

Haldia figured she would have a lot better luck trying to learn the language if only people would stop adding unfamiliar words or sounds when they spoke. Still, she knew it was just a nervous habit of Miyu's, and really when she recognized it, it was amusing. It was just difficult.
"I bet Ruque would like something like this," Earendil suggested with a smile. "I don't know if there will be enough for him, but if there is ... maybe we should take some to him. He's probably feeling really down right now, what with being so badly burned, and not being able to do much ... I'm sure it would make him feel better to have some."

Miyu blinked, she wished she had thought of that before, but at the time she was only thinking it would be neat to give people a taste of it.
"Mi... well maybe I could try to make more on a later date," Miyu mused thoughtfully, "If this isn't enough. Anything can go into ice cream! Well... almost, I wouldn't suggest vegetables."
Lin looked amused by that, somehow the idea of something like ice cream cucumber or the like sounded amusing.

Earendil was amused by the idea, though he had to admit he wouldn't be able to pass judgment until he had tried the ice cream with fruit first.

"You'd be surprise what people try to put into ice cream," Lin murmured dryly.
Miyu peeked under the lid, it looked solid, carried the colour she wanted it to, and over all looked like ice cream. Granted it looked like ice cream that had melted and then refrozen, but natural home made ice cream tended to look like that.
"All done!" Miyu announced, "I'll keep it cold and we can get bowls and spoons inside."

Earendil chuckled. "So it's time for us to go back in, is it?" he grinned. He helped Haldia to her feet. "Well, I'm looking forward to this, I have to say."
Haldia smiled. "I just hope it was worth the work," she murmured softly.

Lin chuckled at this, she had to admit it seemed like a lot of work for ice cream.
"It depends if you will like the taste or not, or rather if you like the texture."
Miyu got up from where she was and headed inside to get ask Haradhel for bowls and spoons.

Earendil led the red of them inside, holding the door open for all of them. "I've never heard of anything like that before. I'm not sure what it will be like, but I'm hoping it's good."
"I've never even had milk before I came here," Haldia shrugged, "and back home we don't have milk or strawberries. So we could never even think about making it there."

"Well that and it's warm to hot there," Lin murmured, "In order to make it here without Miyu's help would either find someone who could do the same or wait until winter."
Which made it more of a novelty rather a treat for the summer since it could have it during that time of year here.

Haldia nodded as she headed inside. "Is there anything else you can use to make it?" she asked Lin curiously, heading towards the dining room.
Suddenly a black blur shot out of the playroom: Amalirahc squealed and ran as fast as his stubby legs would take him down the hall and towards the door.
"Oops," Earendil laughed, scooping the boy up so that he couldn't escape outside.

Lin laughed at that, "Someone is trying to make a grand escape..."
She watched Amalirahc for a moment before turning back to Haldia.
"Milk and possibly sugar are the main ingredients that need to be in all ice cream, but after that, whatever you use to flavour it is more or less endless."

Earendil chuckled and closed the door firmly. "I'm sure your parents would not like it if I were to let you out," he grinned at Amalirahc. He set him on the floor again, and the boy plopped down on his bottom and pouted up at him.
Haldia smiled and nodded at Lin. "Yes, we wouldn't be able to have it at home," she agreed. "Ah well. I will be trying it here, yes? That will be enough for me."

Lin nodded at this as she chuckled a bit more at the little boy who had tried to escape.
"Where are you parents? Or did you sneak away when they were busy?"
Who knows, Amalirahc was quite bright.
