Blame the Fangirls.
It's always that Fangirls
And the White Tigers arc / Battle vs.
Rei where everyone gets touchy
feely. (And by everyone I just mean
Rei and Mao ) Because we just all
know that two people in a series (
regardless of gender) can't just be
friends without some hidden urge to
bend each other over and ...you get
the idea. And so, the possesive Rei
fans were all "ZOMG! MARA!H IS
A B!TCH! SHE'S STUPID!ZOMG!1
oneoneone! SHE'S TRYING TO
STEAL RAAAAAAY`!ONEone11four: )
And with that thought in mind, they
wrote their fanfictions with Mao
as a stereotypical preppy we-otch
and ultimately destroyed all chances
of the general public liking her.
The end. Or if you're like me and can just discriminate against character purely on the overall pinkness of them. (Manga version/colouring aside)

lol, what a rant *gives it a cookie* =3 i like big posts.
You know, i didn't see that much touchy feely-ness between the two. And i was watching those episodes with it in mind. I just thought there was a lot of wishing they were friends like they were back in the old days (<- well duh lainy. thanks for stating the obvious).
What i mean is them hanging out and having fun like friends do. No hints of any other romantic relationship *shrugs*. Anyways...
I thought she was pretty great after watching those episodes. She didn't make a fuss about Rei not returning to the white tigers. i think that's the part where i started liking her cos she wasn't getting all upset. She was being mature O.o
Yer. I love her, she kicks a** *nods*

And on the point about people not being able to see interaction between two characters whithout assuming they want to...ahem... you know... *coughs*

#actually he said they were made for each other after watching the first season. He had no idea about the KaRe fandom either so i just cracked up laughing at him. He had no idea what was going on. It was so good i had to text panda that instant.

I'm so PROUD of you and your newfound knowledge and ability to rant with the best of them XDDD It makes me want to run over there and pinch your cheeks like a crazy granny or similar.
Maybe more on the lines of eccentric aunt... I'm not quite prepared to be a Granny yet ^^
I think most of the Mariah damage was done in Grev, really- Mariah seems to have a personality warp between the first and third season and goes from 'I just want to be friends' to 'could-be-interpreted as being a pink menace' It's quite bizarre.
Factoring in the fact that most of the recent Bey fans have watched Grev only (been there, done that) they probably take that portrayal of Mariah- then Read scary demonic!Mariah fanfic and in turn write their own.
That also explains the influx of TyKa because- if I weren't such a stauch believer in the true love that is between Kai and Rei/ Rei and Anyone in general whlie Kai watches on as a sort of... angry bystander I would have probably jumped on that wagon too.
...SOrry for going on I just really wanted to get a rant going that was half as impressive as both of yours and I probably still failed XD Ah well.

XD Am going to a launch party when the next book comes out. I get free stuff 4laugh Am excited.

lol fair enough. There's just something about his... jawline of all things. I just... he's not Edward in all his far-too-perfect-to-make-a-good-character-but-manages-it-anyway glory.
*glares at fanfic stats* I am on 98 people's favourites list. I need -two more- to get to 100. But I fail and cannot write anything to achieve this.

lol, i've liked the actor since harry potter. The only character in HP film i liked. I cried cos he was too pretty to die xD so i'm pretty biased.... plus we have the same birthday *laughs* i saw a picture of another actor who was PERFECT to play edward... but i can't remember who it was... so i'll settle for compromises...
they've done an excellent job with the make-up in the movie *has a pile of on set photos piling up* And i'm not just talking edward... just the vamps in general... he he... yellow contacts..
*ahem*
um... write me bryka? lol... can't believe i stilll manage to be obsessive about that pairing even when i've been on hiatus from the fandom

YOu didn't have Draco love then? That actor was the REASON I started loving Draco. Then I realised what an awesome sissy-boy he is.
lol I only saw the first few cast shots and refused to look anymore. The Edward/Cedric doing Blue Steel really put me off. I'll see if I can find the image...
lol BryKa rocks even if you are having a break. I'll think about it, k? I would do it right away but I phail at the oneshot ideas at the moment and then phail at the writing bit so I doubly phail.
XD I laugh when I get reviews and favs on old stories. It's so random. But awesome.

lol, those were pre-production ones... they went and changed everything after that *rolls eyes* Jasper now looks like he was electrocuted. Cracks me up every time i see it i admit that its a crappy photo though... i don't really think anybody looks good in it... I blame the photagraphers for everything :O xD edit: Ok so maybe i will b going to the movie to laugh. Cos there's just no way i'll keep a straight face when i look at jasper... seriously didn't picture him with electrified hair

awww I liked Jasper's old hair. It put mu in the mind of a good-as-gold English schoolboy. seriously though, the only one who looks half like what I pictured him as is Emmett.
I was also sad about Alice- I always pictured her as a kind of real-life Emily the Strange... but happy, y'know? And then they go and give her short brown hair.
You know, I look at the title of this thread and sigh. Then I proceed to continue being off-topic.

... lol, Alice looks exactly like how i pictured her. She did have short hair in the book darling, short and spiked out.
You see, while i'm happy with Emmit, seriously he rocks, i always thought his hair was curly...
Rosalie looks a little... odd... too =/
I suppose it just goes to show how books can't make good movies for everyone since we all have different minds. lol I'm mostly pleased with everyone while other people arent'.
I'm also going through an ABBA phase so that probably explains my mind for everyone xD
And i consider this conversation the 'everything in between' part of the thread title.
Besides, we're the one's who enforce the whole not going off topic thing in this guild, and i for one don't really have a problem with anybody doing it. As long as they're not fighting and posting i'm happy.
We get back on topic eventually.

And so it turns from Mariah to Twilight! xD
(Random unimportant fact, I drove by Forks on the 3rd and had a total
fangirl moment. xD Ha ha, I'm such a dork. But I can soo see, weather-
wise, why the book takes place there. So cloudy!!) Anyhow~ Twilight!
Casting wise, I'm only satisfied with Rosalie and Emmit. Hmm, actually

Were!Jacob was Steven Straight! But I supposed he'd be too old for that
role, huh? TAT The actor for Alice is cute, not what I expected but cute
