Jade watched Kay move, the growing fluidity in his body with his strikes. He was still sloppy compared to the people she had seen use it, but in time he would grow to be perfectly flawless. His use of the raiton element would suit her well, as that was her preferred element. Before she could speak, the sound of the door opening drew her attention. It was the young girl who seemed to be wallowing in self-pity sometime ago. Jade's calculating gold eyes scanned her, almost giving off a motherly feel to the examination. Her eyebrows knit together for a moment as Jade stared softly, coming to the conclusion that Sora was ready to move on with life, and grow stronger. "Yes, indeed I have Sora-chan. Why don't we immediately get started. Please, attempt what the others are attempting, and climb one of the beams using only your feet. Apply the correct amount of chakra to your soles to do so." This training was efficient, as well as preliminary. Jade would be able to see how each student acted and reacted to things, as well as a feel for how they trained.

Training...? Sora looked down at her legs before looking at the other shinobi running up the beams. When was the last time that she had actually trained before? It was over a year ago if she remembered right. But she wasn't going to let that stop her from trying. With a swift bow to the Kazekage, she walked over to her own beam and placed one foot on the it. As her irises shifted yellow, she could see the chakra in her leg and channeled it into her foot, giving her a solid grip. Then, she backed up a little bit, turning to look at what the others were doing again. (1/6)
Then, she was off. Running in a full-on sprint toward the beam. As she neared, her foot connected with the wood as she began to ascend upward. Her Chijoukei remained active the entire time, trying desperately to control the chakra in her feet. But even with the added advantage, she could only go so far. About eight yards up the beam, her foot connected with the wood and it shattered. Immediately, Sora flipped backwards and landed gracefully on the ground. Flat-out speed isn't going to help any, Sora thought as she looked down at her feet again and began to focus her chakra. (2/6)
When she tried again, Sora walked instead of sprinted. She tried to make sure that her foot kept even contact with the wood and that her chakra was always balanced out. But then an immense pain in her eyes forced her to cringe and lose control. All of the chakra in her foot dispersed and she slipped to the ground, but still landed on her feet. With her doujutsu deactivated, Sora's eyes returned to normal, but everything around her was blurry now. Still, she refocused the chakra into her feet. She wasn't going to give up yet. (3/6)
This time, Sora focused all of the chakra that she could into her feet. Then, she ran at the beam. But right before she hit the beam, she drew back on her chakra and began to ascend. She got almost half-way up the beam before she drew back too much chakra in her feet and began to slip down. But instead of falling to the ground, Sora pushed more chakra into her feet and continued to run up the beam. She made it five more steps before her foot splintered the wood and she was forced to retreat downward. (4/6)
As soon as Sora's feet touched the ground she backed up and sat down, staring up at the beam. She could see where she lost control of her chakra, and her brain began to do calculations. She had made it halfway and five steps. The five steps was from chakra that she had pushed into her feet too fast when she panicked. The only other way that Sora could think of ascending the pillar was to take it incredibly slow and just work on focusing chakra into her feet evenly. So, Sora walked up the pillar and just stood on it, parallel to the floor. For five minutes she stood that way, just maintaining the chakra in her feet so that she could stay on the beam. Now, she had finally gotten a feel for how much chakra she needed in her feet. She pushed a little bit more into her feet, but the wood splintered immediately and she fell to the ground. (5/6)
But now Sora understood. She took one last look at Jade with a cocky grin on her face before she began sprinting up the side of the beam. As she neared the spot where she had began slipping the last time, Sora drew back on her chakra a little bit and increased her speed. Even though she was slipping a little bit with each step, her increased speed and longer strides made up for whatever loss there was and she soon reached the roof. As Sora sat on top of the cross beams, she looked down at Jade with an emotionless mask on her face. "I'm done, now!" She called down, a soft smile touching her lips. Then, she dropped down, pulling her body into a fetal position and rolling as soon as she hit the ground to soften her landing. When she stood up again, she was standing in front of the Kazekage.

((Finally finished after an hour of running up the same beam over and over... ))

Kohane Tsubame
Academy Student | Sunagakure | Raiton | Ninjitsu




Kohane was leaning against the wall and was watching Myurai walk around as they were waiting for instruction. Then suddenly her body reacted to something. She wasn't sure what it was and she looked around. She saw a boy leaving the training facility. The feeling felt so familiar. It was wierd too. Like she reacted just because of that boy. Then she shook her head thinking it was her imagination.

When she looked back to the center of the room, there was now a lady standing there talking to them. Kohane turned to look at her and realized she was the kazekage. Kohane straightend up and walked over.

She listened and watched the Kazekage's instruction. Their first lesson was to walk on walls. She felt it was a good demonstration and thought that she'd be able to get the hang of it. Well atleast she knew she was going to have to balance the chakra out just enough to walk on the wall. When the kazekage announced that they could start.

Kohane nodded and walked over to the wall and then began concentrating her chakra to her feet. She felt that she had no problem doing so like it was something she had done many times before. She shook that feeling again, and tried to estimate the amount of chakra that would be perfect. When she thought she had enough she place one foot against the the wall and tried stepping up and slid down. She backed up a little and applied more chakra and ran towards the wall. She had built up too much chakra that when she hit the wall, she created stress marks but not enough to destroy the surface yet. She adjusted quickly and kept ascending up the wall. When she thought she had the hang of it, she started slowing down and continued walking up the wall. When she got to the top she continued to the ceiling and then she looked back torwards the ground and smiled. She could feel some exhaustion from this training so she thought she had better make her way back down. When she got back to the ground her breathing felt harder. She walked to the Kazekage and asked, "How was that?"

Walking back in, he headed directly toward Jade, passing beside Kohane, hearing her voice sent more chills down his spine. ' What...is this...' He thought, pausing for a moment, turning his head toward the girl, glaring at her. Maybe she was using a jutsu? Or maybe there was something wrong. He then turned back toward Jade. " Okay, I believe it's everyone." He told the kazekage, letting out a sigh, still wandering what was wrong with the girl.

" Excuse me Jade-sama..." He mumbled as he turned back toward the girl, crossing his arms. he took a step toward her and locked his eyes on her. " What's your name?" He asked her, without a hint of hesitation in his voice, he wanted to find out what was the cause of that feeling, that also wasn't a very smart thing to ask, since he was just glaring at her, to ask something, or to even direct to her, would be something foolish, not like he cared.

Hearing the first part of her name, the boy wasn't really surpriced, there was no way he would know her. ' Figured as much, I'm going crazy....' He thought as he then heard the next part of her name, the first three letters, there was no way that girl was whom he wished she could be, her name was just a coincidence... " Kohane...Tsubame... That's... pretty interesting name.." The boy said hesitantly her last name, specially the first part, for obvious reasons though. " I'm Akura Bashirou." He said plainly, looking away, no longer doing eye contact with Kohane.
