The Ushio Clan originated within the Land Waves are are loyal and dedicated shinobi. Ushio clanmembers are almost always intelligent and usually specialize in at least one branch of shinobi arts. THey have a very traditional method of passing on clan secrets, voiced by the clan head to younger shinobi. The clan once had trouble breeding male shinobi and young unsurpers often banded together to slay the Clan head, losing precious clan techniques in the process.

The Ushio Clan are renown for their Great chakra and intelligence. In addition they possess a higher level of perception similar to that granted by the Sharingan but relying more on instinct and channeling chakra into their nervous system. Their water techniques are also very potent but the Ushio clan greatest skill lies in their ability to utilize jutsu without handseals or words, though at the cost of an increased chakra drian.

Mid-summer near the outskirts of the Land of Fire. The dense clusters of foliage and vegetation sparkled as morning dew caught the faint rays of sunlight through a dense canopy. Woodland animals audibly scurried along the forest floor, chattering, buzzing, or growling to their neighbhors. It was a pleasant feeling to be surrounded by such harmonic creatures, but the full implications of their activities had no effect on the somber individual standing erect within a small clearing.

He was well aware he was being followed by a shinobi and their apparent familiarity with the landscape lead him to believe that they were native to the country. Tensai's back was against an old tree when the Uchiha landed ten meters away from him but he made no move to acknowledge the enemies presence. He had no need to because the Uchiha's eyes burned with crimson light as her infamous dojutsu activated. Normally shinobi would flee from the sight of the Sharingan but Tensai was confident in his skill. He smirked behind the porcelain mask and folded both arms across his chest in defiance as the Uchiha clanswoman executed multiple handseals in a small timeframe. Tensai was actually familiar with the technique, a compact projectile of fire primed to explode on contact with an enemy. Fire had a natural edge over water so the Ushio clansmen took time in learning the seals associated with fire techniques in order to counteract their effects at a faster pace.

A crimson sphere erupted from the enemies small lips, easly the size of a medicine ball and crackling obnoxiously as it flew across the distance between the two. Due to her genetic endowment the Uchiha would be able to see Tensai's chakra levels fluctuate but she was unable to predict the sudden eruption of water directly in front of the fire ball. Fragments of earth were launched into the air as the wall of water surged from underground.

"Mizu Mira-tsukekae no-jutsu (Water mirror replacement jutsu)" muttered Tensai as a sudden shift in their spatial coordinates left the Uchiha directly in the path of her own jutsu. The wall of water was gone and Tensai with it, but the enemies enhanced perception skills told her the water shinobi wwas now airborne and to her right. With the fire ball so close she kew she wouldn't be able to dodge it very easily so he lashed out with her fist, a heavy coating of chakra materializing over her gloves before it erupted outward in a large blast. The ensuing explosion launched her several meters back, trailing smoke as the fireball detonated on contact with her fist. For the most part she was unharmed but her vision was still swimming. Tensai took advantage of this situation, arms still folded across his chest but four liquid appendages reaching out as large hands to ensnare the Uchiha. The Mizu Hebi-Kengotsu (Water snake fist jutsu) allowed him to create watery limbs and at his level, they were rather large in size. She managed to narrowly avoid two large palms but she was caught between the remaining two. Tensai used these two limbs to pull himself directly towards her body, lashing out multiple times with his feet.

To her credit the Uchiha managed to raise both arms against the rain of blows but Tensai pushed off her upraised limbs and span in mid-air, whipping the fists of water aroud his body in order to create another jutsu. The large quantity of water crashed together into a small compact ball that Tensai kicked with all his might towards the Uchiha, spiraling directly into her arms and releasing a torrential flow of water directly against her skin. The highly pressurized torrent of water instantly reduced the bones in her arms into large splinters and left deep gashes on her skin. Against an opponent like Tensai, the young Uchiha had no chance but the Ushio was able to see she still had life in her. He landed softly behind her and stared down at her crumpled form without mercy. Blood dripped down her chin and stained the soft grass she lay on, mingling with the large puddles of water around them. Her lips moved and Tensai imagined she begged for mercy but against the very enemy he was sworn to defeat, the Ushio had no spare mercy to give.

"Mizu-Seishi (Water Control Jutsu,"

He watched the alarm in her eyes as the fluids in her body was forcibly injected with large amounts of his chakra. She shook violently, her crimson hues fading into their usual black as her flesh rippled under heavy stress. He was surprised to see she was still drawing in ragged breaths but this image was quickly erased as a geyser of blood erupted from her body, flesh torn apart as the fluids in her body were forcibly extracted. The horrid pulpy mass at his feet twitched as fluids leaked onto the blood-stained floor, pooling at his sandals. Emotionlessly, the Ushio touched a streak of blood that splashed onto his mask before bringing it to his keen eye. He was still for some time, deciding if this kill would please him for the season. As blood drained down from the overhead branches and scraps of flesh littered the floor Tensai decided that her death meant nothing to him, as the deaths of many ninja had before her.

His gloved hands pried the mask from his face, revealing a tired old shinobi's face. Wrinkles sprouted at the corners of his eyes and his sickly white flesh stood out against a mane of silken black hair. Small amber hues peered from within deep-set sockets, observing the gruesome scene with obvious distaste.

"My final kill and yet I feel nothing...."

His voice was calm and easily at peace with his actions. It was easy to see the shinoi held no remorse for his actions. He closed his eyes and held his arms to the side as the sun peeked through the net of branches to observe the scene. Th warmth of the canopy was fleeting as the sun, as if horrified by the scene, fled beneath the cover of a wandering cloud.

"Such is the way of the fallen, I suppose," he finished and allowed his arms to fall at his side. He placed a finger on the spot where the a small burn had been searing his vocal cords for months. "It's time to pick a new heir," he mused and just like that, the sixty year old Ushio vanished without warning.
