Shina was completely unconscious, though the smoke seemed to have dissipated before Wander had arrived..

  Diana smirked at this, her tail coiling slightly as he glanced at her. "Well now 'big kingly man' tell me, does Death frighten you? Or have you such demanding and otherwise arrogant qualities that you frighten even Death himself?" She asked him, her arms still crossed over her chest. Devon looked back at Kusargi with a nonchalant stare. He shrugged lightly. "What's wrong with wanting to be liked by everyone?" He retorted. "Or would you rather me just act like my sister and contradict everything with a big mouth?" He then heard her next statement and chuckled lightly to himself. "No, I haven't. Meaning, I've never had a love before." He said with a sigh, rubbing the back of his neck in a nervous fashion.

Kuroi turned to Diana with an arrogant air and chuckled. "Please, the only thing I fear in this world is father, who even makes death cower in a corner. And what do you mean demanding qualities?" he asked with a raised eyebrow.

Diana chuckled to herself, covering her mouth with the back of her hand in a coy fashion. "Well, let's see. In the few moments of being here, you criticized me, you forced me to bow to you against my will, you intentionally hurt my brother, and now you're interrogating a seemingly innocent girl? Wow, yeah, what a great king-to-be we have right here..." She spat out sarcastically. Devon blinked at her, his ears drooping slightly. "Hey, don't say that. I'm sure there's plenty of men out there just perfect for you." He reassured her with a smile.

Kusargi rolled her eyes.
"Yea right. No one wants to be with a psychic who needs ice to see her visions. Plus, I'm just not that confident to look for a guy, after what happened to me."

Kuroi glared "Much better than our current king! If I were like him I would've killed you for disrespect ages ago!" he scowled. "of course I'm not nearly as strong either...." he mumbled to himself.

Diana opened her mouth to say something cocky but instead decided against it. With her very sharp ears, she picked up what he mumbled to himself and sighed heavily. "Geez, okay. I'm sorry, I didn't know." She told him as she walked over to him, placing a hand on his forearm, smiling lightly as her burgundy eyes sparkled. Devon blinked at her, before he walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a light hug. "I'm sure if you'd want to tell me about it, you would. But I won't force you to." He whispered to her with a smile. "Just remember, you'll always have someone to confide with in me, okay?"

"I have a better idea; I trust you Devon, so I'll show you." A light blue glow surrounded her hand as she put it to his cheek.
Kusargi was five years old. Her dad came walking in drunk-like he always does-and started beating her. Her left arm broke and so did her right leg. Her aunt came running in to save her from certain death.
The time fast-forwarded to a few months ago when a guy she met took her in an alley and raped her.
"Sorry you had to see that Devon, but this is why I'm convinced that there is no one out ther for me." she added in a mental note.
Once Kusargi showed him those memories, she passed out.

Kuroi looked at Diana confused. "Alright....thank you." he blushed and rubbed the back of his head nervously. "So umm......sorry about controling your body and everything..."

Diana giggled, patting the side of his face with her hand. "Ahh, all water under the bridge now my kind sir." She complimented with a smirk, kissing his cheek in a sweet fashion before giggling once more. Devon breathed in and out slowly, staring straight ahead as he held Kusargi in his arms, since she had fainted from the amount of energy it took for her to show him all that. He then looked down at her and sighed, reached down and kissing her forehead quickly. "I'm sorry that all that had to happen to you. But I promise now, on the sake of my soul, that I will protect you from all misfortune from this day forward...I promise..." He whispered to her as he sat down on a chair, his arms still around her in a comforting fashion.

Kusargi started coughing and shivering from her weakness.
"D..damn, that shouldn't of happened. I shouldn't of passed out like that. Although, admittedly, that took..." She winced as her heart started hurting from the stress.

Diana smirked at his blushing before she realized what she did and blushed as well, glancing away from him for a moment, playing with a strand of her light hair nervously. "Well um...that's most nice of you kind sir, thank you." She replied with a cute smile, staring into his eyes lightly. Devon continued to cradle her in his arms, quieting her with a soft 'ssssh'. "You need your rest fair maiden, and I believe that it is only right that you do so..." He whispered to her with a light smile.
