At this point, it would have been easy to forget that there had been smiles and laughter amongst any of them mere minutes before. The tension had grown thick, and clearly the wrong words had been spoken. Yuki had offended more than one of them, that much soon became clear, but just how far it went even he hadn't expected.
Hitsu had stopped listening after Neko had said that he wasn't going back, and had only stared at him in shock. He... Wasn't going back? She watched him turn his back on them and walk to the door. "Neko?" She'd called, but all too quietly. She didn't even know if he would have stopped anyway, and she frowned when he walked out the door.
Yuki wasn't sure what had gotten into him, either. "Just... Let him go. He'll be back." It very well could have been his own denial of what had been said. He wouldn't let them return home alone... Would he? He'd stood, depositing his own food near what had been untouched. He felt sick to his stomach now, perhaps they shouldn't have spoken openly of returning home.
"You have to tell him." Hitsu was saying, her voice slowly beginning to rise in volume. "He has to come back with us!" She'd given up pressing to go home days ago, at least until now, as it seemed to get her nowhere. Now.. She just didn't want to lose the friends that they had made, and most certainly not the friend that they'd had for a decade.
Poke's previous words of support went without the proper thanks in the gloomy mood and as both of the siblings became distracted by the fact that the number of people in the room swiftly declined. Blade excused himself as well and went to clean up, though the timing in which he'd decided to do so only left them to assume that he too was upset. Yuki heard Hitsu whimper in her worry from where she sat. "Well, damn." Yuki had murmured, and then Riyo had spoken his name and stood, and his attention shifted to her.
"Riyo, I-" He had started, only to cut himself off abruptly... And that was as far as he got. He could manage little more than to stare at her, though he processed everything she had said. Oh, how he never intended to sound so heartless, but now it seemed far too late to try and explain himself. He stood there, slack-jawed, until she'd moved toward the door.
"No, no..." Hitsu's whine caught his ears, the sadness within her voice making him feel all the worse.
"No, Riyo. I-" Had he honestly thought she'd listen? The door slammed hard, "Wait!" He rushed after her, and soon he vanished behind the closed door as well.
Hitsu stared at the door for only a few seconds, before she burst into tears.
[So now it's just Poke and Hitsu, unless Mitsu wakes up... XD Our party just crashed, guys. ;;]

Riyo heard the door re-open just seconds after she'd gone storming out. She'd heard him call out her name. And it froze her in place. Maybe she wanted to hear him say it wasn't like that. That there was indeed a place for her amongst the world she resented for not including everyone. Long black sleeves now covered her arms.
"What could you possibly say to me now that would take it all back, Yuki?" She asked in a quiet voice. "I said I understood. Do you want my blessing now or something? Want me to walk you back to your village and give you a big hug before you go?" Her voice turned dead cold as she spoke.
"The way I see it, you can either go back to that peaceful living you're accustomed to, or spend the rest of your life doing this. I'm not stable. I think you know that well enough by now. Which means, you can't have it both ways."
With those words, she glanced back at him, those red eyes beaming. There wasn't a way to make everyone happy with this. Maybe it was time he learned that.

poke just sighed in exasperation. This hole argument seemed petty and stupid, so she kept herself quiet untill everyone was gone. Then hitsu had burst out in tears, so poke got up to confort her. "it's alright, don't cry hitsu.." awkwardly patting her back, she guided her over to the bed so she could sit and calm down. Now was the hard part; thinking up something to say that wouldn't make the situation worse.
"..all we need to do is wait till everyone calms down..then we can think of a appropiate solution that everyone can be happy with" she finaly said.

Finally waking up after all the commotion Mitsu groggily came into the room her eyes half lidded and her hair a mess. She looked like she felt a little better but not by much. "Where did everyone go?" She asked hoarsely rubbing at her eyes. Maybe they had gone out for food. At that thought a smell caught her attention and she looked over at the mass of bags sitting on the table and uneaten food set aside. Well, so much for that theory.
Then another thing caught her attention, sobbing. Looking back toward Hitsu still half asleep she saw the tears running down her face. "What's wrong Hitsu?" She had slept through the argument and was only startled awake when the door had slammed. Maybe someone had been angry? Dragging her feet as she made her way across the room Mitsu sat on the opposite side of Hitsu that Poke wasn't on and nuzzled up to her. "It's okay Hitsu." She yawned a little resting her head on Hitsu's shoulder still very tired and wanting to go back to sleep.
(waits for everything to catch up before she adds Neko back in xd ))

While he was in the bathroom, Blade heard the door slam pretty loudly. He wondered who it was that just stormed out, but he would have to find out later since he didn't really want to go out naked.
Before much longer, he was done anyway. The thief managed to get his clothing washed and dried as well with a bit of help from his fire magic. So he soon stepped back out of the bathroom fully clothed to see that the room had emptied more in his absence. Both Riyo and Yuki were out now as well, but Mitsu had awaken from her slumber.
What concerned him more was that Hitsu was now in tears. With a heavy sigh, he went over towards her and placed a hand on her free shoulder. He couldn't really figure out which part of what happened was bothering her the most so he didn't have much to say in terms of comfort"
"Try not to worry about it so much ok?"

At first, Yuki thought that he might just want to turn right around and go back. Hope that Riyo would return once she'd cooled off, even though he couldn't be sure if that would be the case or not. He knew that she was angry with him, and that was what made him nervous. "I'm sorry, I..." He began, truthfully he did lack the words to try and make it all better. "I didn't mean it, Riyo. I didn't mean that I wanted you to leave, or that I wanted any of them to leave..."
"I just..." He sighed, "I don't know what I want anymore." It was clear that he couldn't take her back with them like he had quietly hoped, but that meant that it was a choice between abandoning everyone to return to the home that he was accustomed to, or trying to stay close... Which meant letting go of what he'd clung to for all of his life. "I've lived in that village for twenty-six years." He murmured, "I never could have imagined that the outside world was this... Different."
He wanted to say that he wanted it both ways, but knew that it would only be speaking the impossible. "I know." He replied softly, "I want this to work somehow, for all of us. Just... Tell me what you want me to do... Because I can't figure it out by myself." He didn't look particularly proud of asking for answers, and the idea of her lashing out at him was a fearful one... But, he really was at a loss. "Please, just help me figure this out."
-----
[I am horrible at trying to perfectly type out speech wracked by sobbing and sniveling... So... Just pretend that this stuff isn't coming out quite as clearly as it reads. XD]
"But..." Hitsu sobbed, allowing Poke to help her to sit. "Everyone's upset now!" She buried her face in her hands, shaking. "What if Neko doesn't come back? What if he's gone?" Right now, it seemed like a possibility in her panic. "And Blade thinks we hate him... And Riyo... I don't want to go home if I'm not going to see any of you again!"
It hadn't taken long before all three of them were around her, trying to comfort her. How could Yuki not realize that they were friends, and shouldn't be left behind? "He didn't mean it... I know he didn't mean it..." She whimpered, trying to calm her tears. She rubbed at her eyes, sniffling. "Thank you..." She said softly, unable to properly word her gratitude otherwise. She'd barely had time to get to know them, Blade especially, and here they were supporting her despite that. "I just don't want everyone to fight..." By everyone, really, she was exaggerating quite a bit... From the look of things, Yuki really had made a total jerk of himself this time. "He didn't mean it." She repeated, finally quieting down as she stared absently into her lap to keep from looking at any of them... It would have only made her cry again.

"We're not upset," Mitsu said in a groggy manner wrapping an arm around Hitsu's still keeping her head rested on her shoulder. It honestly looked like she was attempting to curl up and go back to sleep sitting there. From being tired and between Hitsu's sobbing Mitsu didn't quite understand what was going on. There had been a fight of some sort, that was easy enough to deduct from how upset Hitsu was.
"We're all like-" Mitsu gave a big yawn cutting off her sentence her eyes closing as she continued to speak, though it was obvious she was drifting off again as her voice became quieter and quieter. "....Family. You, me, Poke,...... Riyo, Yuki......Neko.......and now Blade." She gave another yawn and then a sigh as sleep seemed to over come her. "And Ginji.." The last name was random and spoken only slightly above a whisper but it was far too late to question her now as she was already fast asleep.

There was a long pause of silence after Yuki had finished speaking. Cheater. Throwing everything back on her like that...
And then, a big sigh. "What am I going to do with you..." It was more a statement than a question that escaped those lips.
"Really. After all that, after every little traumatic thing I've put you through so far, you still want to keep me around. Like stabbing yourself in the foot or something..."
Riyo very slowly turned around to look back at him and approached. She wasn't angry anymore, that much was obvious. But.. Now she looked as if she was plotting something. "Okay. Answer this question and I'll consider everything even." Invasion of personal space didn't even begin to explain how close she was getting. She just kept coming until there was about an inch separating them. Those red eyes looked up into his, an air of thoughtfulness about them. "What do you see?"
The question was, after a few seconds, followed up by an explanation. "When you look into these eyes, what do you see? A child? A monster? Perhaps... Something else?"
"... There's no wrong answer, of course. Just the truth."

Not really the greatest at coming up with good things to say for comfort, Blade was silent once again. Though he just nodded as Hitsu thanked them for their support.
When Mitsu mentioned family and included him in the list, he shifted a bit at the thought. It was a bit odd for him to think about it, considering he really didn't know these people much, nor did they know much about him. Shaking his head to himself, he glanced down at her as he heard another name in which he wasn't so familiar with.
Perhaps they had another person with them before he came along. With a sigh, he looked between the three girls before going to grab a tissue for Hitsu.
"Here.. so you don't get snot all over the bed."

"I don't think blade or riyo thinks we hate them, nor do I think neko's the kind of guy to walk out on you forever..." poke said to hitsu. although privately wondered of the possibility of neko running off. Blade and mitsu had both come to confort hitsu, which was definately a good thing to see. As for yuki not meaning it...well...she'll see what he would do next. It felt very weird when mitsu had regarded them all as family. Poke sat there and blinked at the statement. Did she really mean that much to everyone? She scratched the back of her head, and then mitsu mentioned a person named Ginji...who the hell was he?

For how long she had remained silent, Yuki began to wonder if she had been swayed or not. Once she had finally spoken, he shrugged lightly as she seemed to suggest that he was crazy for wanting to urge her to stay. "Hey, I keep Neko around after all..." He smiled to her a little once she had turned, though awkwardly. "I could tell you stories about where that has gotten me... In order to cause me more trouble than he has, you'd probably have to kill me."
When told to answer one question, he offered a nod. Though, just what she had in mind couldn't have crossed his mind. She drew close; Very close. Yuki's eyes grew wide when she finally stopped and stared up at him, mentally trying to decide on if he should back away or not. He looked at her strangely for a moment, until she further clarified her question. "What do I see?" He repeated, looking nervous all over again.
Yuki hated rhetorical questions, even when he could think straight. Not to say he'd fare much better after sleep; He'd have still been at a loss. "I see..." He struggled mentally, trying to think of something halfway intelligent for him to offer in response. "I... See..." Something meaningful. "You have... Beautiful eyes." So much for that.

His response wasn't followed by a quick slap, as much as she might've wanted to. Her eyes narrowed, and she simply backed away.
"Well, I did say there was no wrong answer..." Riyo sighed out and mentally slapped herself. She'd have to be very technical with him if she was asking these questions in the future.

A grin crept across Yuki's face. "Does that mean I win again?" There was little doubt that he knew now that he'd be pushing his luck, but at least it was harmless teasing this time around. At least, he could hope that she'd realize that.

Oh, Riyo definitely looked like she was going to yell at him after that. But before she could, a better idea caught her....
"Yes. You win the inarticulate moron prize." She said with one of those trademark sinister smiles. Which was a sign that this prize was more of a punishment than anything.
"You can carry the rest of my stuff in..."
Didn't sound so bad, right?
But there was something hidden behind her back after everything else was put in his arms. She walked around behind him and as quick as she could, put whatever it might've been on his head.
It was her pink bra.
"And wear that on your head."

Despite the fact that she'd just insulted him, Yuki chuckled. At least she wasn't trying to leave anymore, that was really what mattered most. When he was informed that he'd be carrying her things back in, he reached out to take her clothes with a confused expression. She couldn't carry her own clothes? Oh well, it wasn't a task that was difficult.
A thought that had surfaced too soon. He felt Riyo drop something onto his head and had begun to reach for it before she'd instructed that he had to leave it there. He retracted his hand slowly, lightly concerned, but followed along anyhow. "Yes, Dear." He replied sarcastically.
Of course, until now he hadn't realized that they had no means in which to let themselves back in. "Uh... I guess we'll have to knock. Unless you snagged a key on your way out." That, of course, would have only been the case if she'd intended to return.
-----
They'd helped her to stop crying, at least. Hopefully Neko, Riyo and Yuki would return soon. Hopefully not upset anymore, either. Hitsu smiled softly, listening to Mitsu and Poke continue to reassure her. If Mitsu saw them as family, Hitsu could appreciate that. Such a strange family they all would be, though. She nodded to Poke's statements, silently hoping that she was correct. When Blade offered her a tissue, she took it with a little bit of laughter. "Thanks."
