Can I ask all you females/women in the guild a question?
How come when yall get mad.. you push your loved ones away and say things that hurt to us? or most women I know do this.
Like drama happened today with my brother and GF.. I warned her on the way home a fight was going to happen most prob.. well it did...
My brother got mad cause my GF parked in his spot or what was his spot.. since he moved out and he raised heck. We was gone for about 1hr only.. bro got house 5mins before we got home. I had got a nasty text from him about her car in the spot..
Well him and her argueing..I tried to get them to stop.. I told her babe lets go inside etc. I think she feels I did not stand up for her.. but I did by trying to get her and him to stop.. knowing that me asking them to stop.. it would not help cause bro is hard headed and has to win a battle. It caused her to say a few hurtful things in text.. to me and I am very sad.. that I may looooooose her atm.. but I just hope its anger coming out and she calms down and realizes I love her..
I believe it is the anger.. she has never said anything like this to me before. So I believe it has to be well the anger. I just lost my Gma also so I do not think she would do this to me at a time like this.
Just hope yall know I am not saying any of yall do this.. I just noticed many female friends I have known do.
I'd rather avoid the generalizations. I'm of the opinion that men and women all have their own strengths and shortcomings (sometimes common to one gender, often specific to the individual) . To single out the flaws of an entire gender is pointless, hurtful and often inaccurate.
Regarding your specific situation, it seems to boil down to what you already guessed - which is she feels you didn't take her side. She probably felt a little betrayed by this and lashed out. From what you described, your brother was being unreasonable. If he moved out then technically that's not really his "spot" anymore. Try to imagine the roles reversed and see if it's something you might feel hurt by. If your gf was more interested in simply stopping the argument than standing by you - would you be upset by this? Anyway, that's just a guess based on what you described. I hope you two can work things out.
