"What about aunts and uncles?" Rei asked, licking off the last bits of icing from her plate. "Those would be fun to have around." She directed a glare at her 'fathers', all three of them, as though blaming them for the lack of aunts and uncles. Khalid just gave her a glare in return, Ryou wasn't paying any attention to the conversation, and Pegasus was searching for another bottle of wine.

"And Yugi's close enough to me to be related." Atem pointed out, finding that Yugi's relation to him was far closer than Kawi's relation to Ember. Rei looked from Yugi to Atem and was suddenly thoughtful.
"You mean... you two aren't brothers?" She asked, tilting her head to the side. "That's what I always thought. How come you look so similar, then?" Atem was surprised at her lack of knowledge-- he would have thought that Ryou or Khalid or even Pegasus would have told the girl everything by now.

Ryou gave them all a very nasty glare, as though daring them to tell Rei the truth. Atem and Yugi sort've mumbled something and looked away. Rei's eyes narrowed in a manner very similar to Bakura's as nobody answered her question. "It's too freaky to just be some coincidence. You've got the exact same hair, the same eyes, all of that. You just said you aren't brothers. So what are you?"
"She's going to have to know at some point." Khalid said mildly to Ryou, going over to his husband and smile/smirking. "Why not tell her now? It's as good a time as any. And you can't come up with a good enough excuse. C'mon, Ryou, just spit it out." Ryou looked irritated and just shook his head. Rei's was more than just curious and she crossed her arms over her chest stubbornly, her gaze demanding answers.

Rei still looked doubtful and Khalid laughed. "Hey, kid, just go outside and play or something." He said, which only made the 'kid' look irritated. "Just forget it. They are related, don't worry. I'm just giving everyone a hard time."

"Let's get you washed up, then." Pegasus said quickly, picking the boy up out of the high chair and carrying him into the bathroom to give him a quick bath. Rei hopped out of her chair and dumped her dishes in the sink before dashing away, out of the kitchen.

Kai giggled as pegasus picked him up. He sucked on his hand happly.
Ember stuck the last of her cake in her mouth and let out a sigh.

"Spoiled rotten." Khalid said, shaking his head in disgust. "I never should have let Pegasus take her."
"It's better than if she had stayed here with you." Ryou said sharply, and Khalid looked surprised. Ryou's eyes widened when he realized his tone of voice, and he quickly gave everybody a little bow. "I'm sorry for being rude. Things have been stressful."
"It's okay-- we understand." Atem said quickly. What a fun party this was turning out to be. He couldn't help but roll his eyes as he thought this.

Kawi jumped up "I'll grab the car!" she said running out of the kicthen.
