//WASHINGTON TWP., Ohio -- Students at Spring Valley Academy in Washington Township will miss school Tuesday after fire and smoke took over the school around 7 p.m. Monday.

Jeff Bovee, the principal, said the maintenance director contacted him to say the school was on fire.

“The scary thing for us is long term,” said Bovee. “Where do we go from here? How soon can we get the school up and running again?”

Several students were inside the building at play practice when the fire broke out but they all escaped unharmed, Bovee said.

The school will be closed Tuesday and will likely remain closed additional days throughout the week.

Bovee said that family members of the students should keep in contact with the school for the latest updates.

Fire investigators said they believed the fire started in a utility area, but they are continuing to investigate where and how the fire started.

Spring Valley Academy opened in 1968 and currently has 293 students in grades K-12.//

O.O ....................Dang..........Looks like you were right about it possibly having to do something with the AC......Maybe it froze over and over exerted it's radiator. Ah well, happens to the best.

Nah, my friends and I think it got too hot and sparked or something. But yeah.
Hello Chou.

Hmmm....Interesting....It sounds like some airways might have gotten blocked off.......Overfreeze or trash SOMEthing must have been blocking SEVERAL of the air passages for it to have generated that much heat to cause an electrical malfunction......
Hai! whee

Well, we got an e-mail about it saying:
Quote:
The fire originated in the mechanical room. It was an electrical fire. The fire came out of that room and went into the ceiling and went down the hallway in both directions.

The great news is that for the most part all of the classrooms are fine besides some smoke damage. Most of the smoke damage is in the hallways.

Watch volleyball. That sport is kickass when they get serious. I was watching the olympics a few weeks ago (Like everyone else was.) and they got SERIOUS!!!!!! when it came game time.

Hopefully next week we can, but for now they don't want anyone in the school until the fire department can figure out how the fire started and the insurance people can evaluate stuff.

I don't think it'll take too much time. They just wanna see if arson was involved. if it's just an electrical fire you should be back in by at least thursday. at the most sometime next week. But if it WAS arson. (looks at your suspicious friend.) Then your gonna be out for a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time.
