The cat rolled onto its back, waving its paws lazily in the air. "Mrow?" It yawned, giving Ember a sleepy look. Rei forgot her quest to find a game and let out a happy squeak at seeing the animal and quickly pounced. Yami, alarmed, rolled onto its feet and tried to bolt away, but Rei had caught the kitty and gave it a big squeeze. Yami hissed and tried to get away from this cruel treatment.
"Moooo." Ryou confirmed, going over to a couch and sitting down. Khalid hadn't moved away from his 'hiding' place behind the couch, and reached down to squeeze Ryou's shoulder.

Ember smiled "dont squeeseit too hard. you could hurt it" ember said heading over to a chair.
"mooooo" kai said. With his time with pegasus kai seemed to forget his fear of khalid. He giggled and crawled up on the couch looking at khalid "mooooo"

Khalid offered the toddler a shadow of a smile and lightly tapped his nose. "Exactly, kiddo." He said, before looking up sharply when Rei suddenly cried out.
"Yami scratched me!" Rei complained, letting go og the cat and looking at her arm in shock more than pain. "Owww... Stupid mean cat." She grumbled as Yami went shooting off into the other room. Pegasus just took a large swig of his wine and chose to ignore it. Blood hadn't been drawn, she'd be fine.

Ember sat down in a chair letting outa sigh "cats dont like to be squeesed.

"Mm-hmm..." Rei managed to mumble, doing her best not to cry. But that cat scratch stung! She turned towards her father, holding out her arm to be examined. "Will it get infected? Will I die?"
"Let me see it." Khalid said, stepping out from behind the couch and kneeling down examining the cut. "Hmm... hmmm..." He made some thoughtful sounds as he peered at the small wound. He gasped suddenly, making Rei jump in alarm. "Oh, dear. I'm sorry Rei, but the cat seems to have drawn blood. See here?" He stretched the cut just a little, and tiny droplets formed. She gasped in shock. "You're now a were-cat. Didn't you know Yami was one? Every full moon, you're going to transform into a neko." Rei looked doubtful, but then again... Khalid was always so serious. What if this was true? "I'll get this wrapped up and try to find a cure, but it's doubtful..." He led the child from the room, with her looking both scared and hopeful at the thought of being a were-cat.
Meanwhile, all Yugi could do was gape. When the two had left, he turned to look at the others. "Was... was that Khalid? Was he being funny?" He rubbed at his eyes, as though he couldn't believe what he had just seen. Ryou smiled and nodded before cuddling Kai.

Kai cooed and nuzzled his father.
Kawi sighed. She smiled at yugi giving him a kiss on the cheak.

"Hmm. What a fun baby shower this is." Pegasus mused from the floor, where he was still nursing his glass of wine. This was his sixth one today, not counting the one coated with fuzz.
"Usually it's mainly women who are invited." Ryou said, rocking Kai. "Not people like... us." Pegasus shrugged and finished off his glass. He got up and went back to the kitchen for a refill.

Kawi shrugged "Once I think. When the mangaer was pregant."
"that women was a b***h" ember muttered.

"Well..." Yugi really wished they had planned this thing out a bit more. All he had really thought of was surprising Ember. He had believed that having everyone together was all that was needed in starting some kind of party. Clearly it wasn't the case. "We could, uh.."

"Why dont we wait for rei and khalid to come back then we can cut thecake" kawi offered.

"I'll go get them." Ryou said, passing Kai off to Kawi, who was closest. He left the room, heading to the bathroom, where he found Khalid calmly watching Rei put dozens of Disney princess bandaids onto her forearm, completely covering the scratches. "A bit much, don't you think?"
"She insisted, when I told her I wasn't putting a cast on it." Khalid said, wrapping one arm around Ryou's shoulders. "This is now teaching her cause and effect. Put on all those bandaids, you'll have to rip them all off eventually."

Kai giggled "mooo" he told kawi. Kawi giggled. "Ok mr.cow. Do you know whata duck says?"
"QWACK!" kai said loudly and giggled. Kawi giggled and sat down. Kai crawled out of kawi's lap and into pegasus's "Qwack!"

"Lovely." Pegasus said dryly, doing his best to remain cheerful for the child. He looked relieved when Ryou reentered with Khalid and Rei, whose left arm was a bright display of cartoon bandaids. "Is it time for the cake now?"

"sure" Kawi said smiling.
Kai blinked tilting his head slightly at pegasus. Crawling off his lap he waddled his way into his playroom.
Ember watched as kai scooted away "Hesure does move fast."
Kaisoon came back with his stuffed bunny. He walked over to pegasus and held it up "Bunny!"
