"Pure sugar." Atem declined, making a slight face at the offer. He wasn't exactly a fan of sweet things. He went to the mansion, knowing that it was hard to hide where you were going once you pulled up to the driveway.
"I just don't think a surprise party for a pregnant woman is a good idea." Khalid muttered from his spot, and got shushed by Rei.
"They're here, they're here!" Rei squealed, and bounced over to Khalid, quickly scampering over him to dive under the couch. Pegasus, who was calmly seated on the couch as well, laughed at him and took a drink of wine.

Ember shruged and poped it in her mouth. ember would have odd cravings once in awhile.
Kawi squeeked and pulled yugi behind the couch.
Noticing where they were she blinked "So your getting along with khalid enough to visit?" ember said.

"You know I couldn't give a damn about him." Atem grumbled, getting out of the car and then going to the other side to help Ember out, if she needed it. "I want to make sure Ryou's okay. I can still have my suspicions."
"Khalid... Pegasus..." Rei hissed from behind the furniture. "You can't just sit there! You're in plain sight! Hide!" Neither male moved so Rei risked popping out from her hiding place to seize Khalid by the ear and drag him down to the hiding place behind the couch. It was getting quite cramped, and she doubted Pegasus would have fit. Pegasus calmly sipped at his wine.

Kawi just rolled her eyes. Taking a blanket from the edge of the couch she covered pegasus. He looked like a giant lump on the couch but it was good enough. She then hid back behind the couch.
Embersmiled and grasbed his hand as he helped her out "Well just no fighting ok?" ember said.

"Ick." Pegasus's voice was a little muffled under the blanket. "You've gotten bits of fuzz in my drink. This had better be worth spoiling my drink."
"Can't promise that, if he starts it." Atem said, helping Ember to the front door. "But I'll do my best." He hesitated slightly before the front door. He normally knocked, but... He tested the knob and found it unlocked, so he just pushed it open and stepped inside with Ember.

Ember walked in with atem. When everybody jumped out yelling surprize ember squeeked loudly clinging toatem 'What the helll!?"

"It wasn't my idea." Atem said heavily, patting Ember on the arm. "A surprise baby shower, I suppose is what they said it is. I'd like to have gotten out of it, but they really didn't let me..."
Rei wasn't too familiar with her parents' friends, but she was excited at there being a party. "Hi, Miss Ember!" She called, looking a bit shy as she stuck by Khalid's side, half hiding behind him. She had been given no reason not to trust the man, unlike her half brother.

"Awww..thats so sweet of all you" Ember smiled "Hi rei"
Kawi bounced over and gaveembera gentle hug "And it wasent even my idea! It was pegasus's idea!"
"Really? Where is he?" ember asked.
"under the blanket" kawi said.
"...Why?" Ember said looking confused.
"he refused to come hide."

Rei remembered Pegasus and quickly whipped off the blanket. "Ta-daa!" Pegasus blinked at the sudden light and then stood up, swirling his glass in one hand. Bits of fluff were in the wine, and Rei quickly snatched it out of his grip. "I can go get you more!"
"Um... Shouldn't alcohol be kept away from children?" Yugi asked awkwardly as Rei sped off to the kitchen.
"Oh, she's fine, Yugi-boy." Pegasus said with a laugh. "She doesn't even like the stuff." Yugi looked alarmed, and Pegasus quickly explained. "I let her taste some when she asked. She thought it was juice or something, and she spit it out at once." He shook his head, sighing. "I do believe I've spoiled her, however."
"Clearly you have." Ryou said from the doorway. He had heard the guests arrive and had brought Kai down to greet them. "You said she could be princess to your Duelist Kingdom. You can't just name a little girl royality and expect that she won't be a little spoiled."

Kai who was still holding onto hiscow giggle "Emberrr!" He said and started to walk over to her. He fell over but pushed himself up and triedwalking agian "Cow go moo" He told her.

Rei came skipping back into the room after the short pause, practically sloshing Pegasus's wine out of the glass. "What are we going to do now? The surprise part is over. C'mon, this is s'pposed to be a party!"
Pegasus accepted the drink from the little girl and got an almost tired look on his face. A week or two with this child had been much more than he could handle, much more than he had expected. He felt terrible for thinking it, but he was secretely glad that he and Cecelia had never had a child... Raising one on his own, especially if it was like this girl, would have been a nightmare. "Well, there could be presents... or games..."

Ember smiled softly. She could tell pegasus was esausted "Why dont you geta game for us to play" she told rei. Kai walked over to pegasus. he wascalmer than rei and aslong as you werearoundand just payed attation to him once in a while he was happy "Cow go moo" hesaid.

"Cows make a sound more like 'murrr'." Pegasus informed the child, sitting down cross-legged on the ground. He didn't seem to care that his dandy little suit would get torn and/or dirty if he continued to just plop down on the ground.
"How about twister?" Rei asked, heading over to a cabinent where the board games were kept. Khalid flatly said no. She pawed through the games, trying to see what there was that they all could play.

"Moo." Ryou corrected, glancing at Pegasus. "You sound like a kitty, Kai." He bent down and picked his son up. He couldn't help but feel the need to touch things since getting back to life. He was almost in constant need to hold on to someone. Rei had whined about how he was hugging her too much.
Speaking of kitties... Yami slunk into the room. Quite a while ago, two kittens had been picked out at Anzu's house-- a white cat, Bastet, and a black cat, Yami. They had settled down easily into the mansion, spoiled into a nice plumpness. They were pleasant enough cats, but mainly liked to lurk around in corners. Yami approached Ember's leg and sniffed at it before rubbing his body against her, as cats will do.
